Chapter 13

Gathering among the crowd of adventurers Elinore and Bonny ready themselves as they enter the structure jutting out of the mountain. Elinore’s eyes widen as the group finds themselves in a wide-open field with fountains of water across the area. The crowds dissipate surprised by the extensive amount of space in the area as Bonny raises her guard.

“Where is this?” Kaito asks.

“This is the Wasser Dungeon, the Dungeon of Water,” Bonny says. “Or at the very least it’s the entrance, but I don’t see how we go deeper in.”

Elinore smiles barely able to contain herself as she spreads her arms wide open. “We’ve done it!”

“Elinore what’re you doing!?” Bonny yells out. “Stop drawing attention to us!”

“Sorry, but I’m so excited. I’ve wanted to get here for so long, it’s just so exciting to finally make it here.” She says.

Bonny sighs. “I get it. But keep your calm, you must keep your head in the game while we’re here or we’ll be overtaken.”

“Why?”

“Each of the Dungeons has its own rules and workings. And they seem to change at a whim so we have to be careful, Wasser is often considered the easiest so we only have to hope that the rules are favorable to us.” Bonny says.

“Yup. But no matter what we face we have Kaito by our side so I’m sure everything will work out.” Elinore smiles as Bonny shakes her head.

“What’s going on?” One Adventurer screams out.

Looking to the ground the pair notice the water from the fountains overflowing and flooding the field as the water slowly rises. “What is this?” Elinore asks.

“I think we’re getting the rules now.”

The water flows off of the ground and forms into a large orb that floats above everyone. An appears across the sphere staring at the gathered crowd as a figure can be seen within the sphere.

“Welcome brave Adventurers!” The figure within the sphere says.

“What is that? Some kind of monster?” Kaito asks.

Elinore shakes her head. “That has to be a Holy.”

“Holy?”

“They’re the same race as that angel in there with you. The servants of God come down from heaven.” Bonny says.

“I welcome you all who wish o challenge the Wasser Dungeon. I am the Judge of the dungeon; I will judge all those who wish to claim the treasures deep within the waters of this place.” It says.

The crowd stares up at it as it rises higher into the air. “In a matter of moments, the doors to the depths shall open. Only groups of three or more can travel beneath the waves, we will remove any group less from the Dungeon.” The sphere fades away disappearing as everyone watches on.

The crowd murmurs among themselves nervously. Some groups stand confident gathering together as others begin desperately searching around. Elinore leaps around as Bonny stares at her.

“Calm down will you?”

“But I can’t! We’ve come this far and because there are only two of us we’re going to lose before we can even start!”

Bonny shakes her head. “Weren’t you listening? He said we’ll be starting soon, if we group up with someone before all the teams gather, we can still get into the dungeon.”

Elinore nods. “Yeah, that’s right!”

“So, we just have to ask people if they want to join up with us.”

“Hey ladies.” A sizeable man with a wide smile on his face walks up to the pair. “What’s a pair of good-looking ladies like you doing in a place like this?”

Elinore returns his smile. “We’ve got to get into the depths of the Dungeon and nab the treasure.”

“Well that’s interesting, I’m here to test our just how strong I am. Heard there were powerful monsters down there so I wanted to try fighting them.” He flexes his muscles showing off to the girls. “Why don’t we head down there together?”

Bonny blushes turning her head away. “Let’s go, Eli.”

“Bonny?”

“Let’s go.”

“But we need someone to join us and he’s offering.”

Bonny glares up at him. “We don’t need some guy who’s just here trying to pick up chicks to help us.”
