Powerful Magic user, 6’-0’’ tall with broad shoulders, 40 years old, dark hair and violet eyes
Consciousness slowly returned. I had no idea how long I had been unconscious from the massive orgasm that had knocked me out. Ken had moved off of me and was lying beside me. We were both still breathing heavily, and my body still shook and quivered from that massive orgasm.
Looking up, I finally noticed all of the Magic in the room. There was so much of it that it appeared to be as thick as honey and maybe even thicker. It glowed and there were golden sparks in it. It was also rotating like the winds of a hurricane or a tornado around Ken and me. The walls, the floor, and ceiling seemed to be no impediment to its movement, as it whirled around us. Over the next few minutes, as I watched it, it seemed to slow, at least a little, but it appeared to be just as thick.
Finally, I noticed how I felt. I felt FANTASTIC, and better than I had ever felt after having sex before. The whole experience had been fantastic, and I didn’t want it to end.
After a short time, I found that I could move and was breathing better. Turning then, I cuddled up against Ken, and he put an arm around me and pulled me closer.
“That was absolutely fantastic,” I told him, as he held me.
“It definitely was, but what are we going to do about the Magic storm that we have caused?” he asked, and I returned my attention to the Magic still circulating in the room. It seemed to have slowed more and was a little thinner now. The glow had dimmed some, and there were fewer sparkles.
“It’s dissipating,” I told him, but didn’t move out of his arms.
“When will it be safe to get up?” he asked, looking at the still circling Magic.
“Soon, is there any rush?” I asked.
“I should get home and get some sleep,” he told me. “I need to go to work in the morning ... early in the morning,” he added.
“You could sleep here with me after we shower,” I told him.
“I need to change clothes. We don’t wear a suit as such at work. Instead we wear a company uniform. It isn’t really a suit. There’s a blazer with matching pants and a white shirt plus it has the company name and our identification on it,” he told me.
“You could dress for work at home in the morning. You would need to do that no matter where you slept,” I reminded him, hoping to keep him here longer.
“Well, maybe I could stay,” he said after a short silence. “It is certainly pleasant being here with you,” he admitted, as I kissed him.
Later, the Magic had dissipated enough that we could get up and shower. I have a nice large shower. My parents had it put in a couple of years after they took over the house. The tankless water heater that I’d had installed after finishing college supplied all of the hot water we needed for the long shower that we took with a lot of fooling around. The bathroom was full of Magic when we got out of the shower, but it wasn’t as full or as thick as the bedroom had been.
I slipped into a night gown after Ken finished drying me off, but all he had was the boxer shorts that he had worn here to put on after I finished drying him off. I opened the bedroom door on the way back to the bed. Al and Alva immediately walked in. We had no idea how long they had been out in the hall.
“What went on in here?” Al demanded on entering. “There was serious Magic moving all through the house until just a short time ago. Most of it is gone now, but it was still thick until just a few minutes ago,” he told us.
“They had sex,” Alva told him. “Why can’t you create Magic like that when we have sex?” she demanded. If Al could have turned red in embarrassment, he would have, but cats can’t blush.
“I’m staying the night. We’ll leave early in the morning,” Ken told his Familiar to keep Al from being too embarrassed.
“All right,” Alva agreed before turning to Al. “You’ll get another chance to generate some Magic,” she told him, as she walked out with her tail up in the air. Al immediately followed her.
Ken and I got back in bed, and I snuggled up to him.
“Do you want to generate more Magic tonight also?” he asked, as he put an arm around me.
“I think we’ve generated enough Magic for one night, and we both need to get some sleep. Remember, you need to be up early in the morning,” I reminded him. We lay there for a time and kissed a bit before going to sleep. There was only a little Magic in the room when I turned out the light and closed my eyes.
I was awakened by Ken getting up that morning. I turned the light on and looked at the clock, which was still working, despite all of the Magic in here last night.
“It’s 4:45!” I said in shock on seeing it.
“Yes, I’m a little late,” he told me. “I need to get home, change, and eat before transferring to the area near work. I’ll need to walk a block to the building where I work. No one is allowed to transfer into the building through the wards, which are pretty strong, but perhaps not as strong as yours are,” he told me.
“When will I see you again?” I asked.
“It will probably be a few days. I have other work that I need to do, plus some studying. I managed to find a book on Ley Line Magic, but it was hugely expensive. I need to make enough to finish paying for it,” he told me.
I got up and put on a robe to escort him downstairs. Alva was sitting by the front door when we arrived there. I let them out and returned to bed for some more sleep.
Later that morning while Maddy was just getting up, there was a meeting of the Ley Line users Executive Committee.
“What in the world happened last night?” the presiding Wizard asked in a demanding voice.
“We have no idea,” several others answered.
“It was like the Lines dried up. There wasn’t any draw on the lines that anyone could detect. It was like the Magic just vanished. Later, it came trickling back, but it was several hours before the Lines were back to normal,” one of the younger Wizards told them.
“It ruined an entire evening’s work,” the presiding Wizard told them.
“You weren’t the only one,” several other Wizards told him.
“What are we going to do, if it happens again? Especially if it happens during an emergency?” David De Tocqueville asked. No one had an immediate answer for him.
“We all depend on the Lines being active and generally full of Magic. If this should occur at some critical juncture, we could all be in trouble,” he continued.
“Yes, but what actually happened? Does anyone have any idea?” one Wizard asked.
“We need to do some research. All of you check what books you have, or can get access to. We need to know what caused this and how to fix the problem,” the presiding Wizard told the others before the meeting broke up.
Maddy rose a bit before the Wizards meeting broke up. She was still feeling very good from what had happened last night and knew nothing about the meeting until later.
“Good morning, Al,” I said on entering the kitchen after getting up and taking care of my morning preparations and dressing. Al looked over at me, but didn’t bother to get up.
“Don’t wake me unless it’s time to eat,” he told me in a tired voice.
“Hard night, Al?” I asked.
“Alva is more cat than I was prepared for last night,” he told me tiredly, and went back to sleep. I made some breakfast, but just cereal, juice, and a banana. The banana was old. Even a preservation spell couldn’t keep them fresh for long.
Following breakfast, I went to check on how much food was still here and what we would need. It was quickly apparent that I would need to go shopping again. Al was still asleep from last night, so I decided to go shopping alone for a change. It had been a long time since I had gone out alone without my Familiar. Even in college, there had been accommodations for those Witches with Familiars, and Al had always been with me, even in class. Well, mainly in my Witch and Magic classes.
This presented problems sometimes, especially in the first classes of the semester. The problems were eventually overcome. Familiars weren’t welcome in the purely academic classes, but there was little the professors could do if you brought them. They weren’t considered students, and after a few professors were turned into frogs, pigs, and rats by various Magic students, the objections had been removed.
To go shopping, I needed to change clothes, and went upstairs to do that. I also made sure that I had enough money with me to pay for what I was going to get. Money wasn’t a problem presently, as I had collected for all of the charms and amulets that I had made for people. I had even collected from Fritz Herkimer before eliminating him.
On checking all of the wards before leaving, I knew that they were all at 100%, so Al shouldn’t have any problems while I was gone. I didn’t intend to be gone that long.
Since it was still early, the store wasn’t crowded, and there were plenty of parking spots available. I was gone about an hour, as I had stopped to look at clothes after picking up the groceries that we needed. Unfortunately, I didn’t see anything that appealed to me, but I kept looking anyhow.
On returning, all was well, and the front door opened for me, as my hands were full of groceries. Al yawned and got up to see what I had brought home when I got to the kitchen.
“I was going to mention that we needed food this morning, but I was too tired when you came in to eat,” Al told me, as he checked out what I had gotten.
“They didn’t have any interesting clothes, and I didn’t care for a lot of the colors they had. They wouldn’t go with my complexion and hair,” I told him. He didn’t seem to care, and I was only procrastinating, I needed to restart on Book 4, as I hadn’t really been paying attention when I started on it before eliminating Fritz.
After finally putting everything away, I changed clothes again to study and sat at the table. Book 4 was right there in front of me, as it had moved from where I had put it while eating. I sighed and opened the book. Much of the rest of the day was spent reading about demons, their habits, tricks, and Magic. It was not inspiring reading, but I persisted, as I had already had run-ins with a number of demons and needed to know what to expect from them.
The only breaks from studying were for preparing my food and Al’s, and then eating. That night in bed, I missed Kennith, but he was busy with work and studying of his own. I eventually managed to go to sleep.
That evening just after sundown, Bob, the Demon, appeared in the apartment of David De Tocqueville, startling the Wizard.
“What are you doing here?” David demanded in an angry voice, as he hadn’t summoned him. He hadn’t intended for the demon to appear in his apartment either.
“You told me to report any unusual activity. Well, I’m here to report,” Bob told him in a testy voice.
“What happened?” David asked in an excited tone.
“Last night after they returned,” Bob began, but was interrupted.
