Despite their apparent horniness, Amenthia and Entivala were focused as we went through the details of the book. We all sat down on the bed, as it was the only place all three of us could sit together comfortably to read the book.

Bracer:

Holds the crystal storing the data and functions needed for an adventurer within the Dungeons and world of Eden. Each has unique glyphs specific to the deity they are selected to serve. There are also notches that will keep a visual record of health and mana for the adventurer. The crystal reacts to specific commands and will show displays based on specific command phrases. At level two, the bracer can have a display of the time activated. At level five, the date can be added to the bracer.

Bracer Commands:

Map: Displays map of adventurer’s current location, whether they are inside the Dungeon or not. All maps are displayed in real time and, as levels progress, more functions can be activated.

Enemy location tracking: Available once awareness reaches five ranks. Adventurer can track and detect any creature that is in line of sight within a ten-meter area. Area of detection increases by ten meters with every five ranks. At level twenty, line of sight is no longer necessary.

Health tracking: Tied to enemy location tracking. Selecting an enemy detected on the map, allows the adventurer to track enemy health.

Weather tracking: Available at level ten. Allows adventurer to know the weather patterns of a floor.

Hidden/subterranean entrance detection: Available at level twenty-five. Gives an adventurer the chance to detect an entrance to a hidden area or access to subterranean networks. Chance of detection is dependent on Awareness grade.

Switch display: Stats and Feats buttons will be found on the lower section of the display. At level two Equipment and Party displays are available. At level ten Pact house standings are available, displaying a comparative list and earned prestige for the adventurer.

Stats: Displays adventurer Strength, Defense, Speed, Vitality, Magic, Wisdom, Agility and Awareness. Adventurer health and Mana are also displayed.

Fertility toggle: At level two, adventurers gain access to this option. Prior to level two, this is toggled off. For women, it prevents the possibility of pregnancy, for men it makes their sperm sterile. Can be toggled on and off at the adventurer’s need.

Strength: Increased by battle and exercise. Displays damage statistics for melee and ranged attacks when paired with Awareness.

Defense: Reflects damage taken or damage blocked. Displays how much health is removed by enemy attacks.

Speed: Increased by running, and quick movements. Displays how fast an adventurer can move or strike. Can be affected by equipment.

Vitality: Increased by eating food, potions and by level. Displays maximum health as well as susceptibility to illness, curse, or poison.

Magic: Increased by casting passive, action, and area-of-effect spells. Displays what spells are available and how many times the adventurer can cast when paired with wisdom.

Wisdom: Increased by learning from grimoires, books; by disarming traps and from casting effective spells.

Agility: Increased by dodging inbound attacks, moving along uneven terrain, sneaking and parrying. displays dodge success, sneaking success and parrying success.

Awareness: increased by locating hidden goods and traps, locating mobs trying to sneak and successfully striking with ranged attacks. Displays range-hit chance, weak point-hit chance, hidden item, or mob-locate chance.

Switch display: Map and Feats buttons will be found on the lower section of the display. At level two Equipment and Party displays are available. At level ten Pact house standings are available, displaying a comparative list and earned prestige for the adventurer.


Feats: Displays the current feats and abilities the adventurer possesses. Available points and available feats are displayed here as well. At level five the adventurer choses a generic classification to determine the list of feats available to that class. At level twenty, the adventurer is tasked to choose an advanced classification and at level forty is given the choice of quests to unlock their master class.

Passive Feats/ Abilities: These are always active, providing bonuses such as increased damage due to specialization feats or access to skills and/or magic such as elemental manipulation. This also includes enchantments that have been placed onto weapons, armor or accessories worn by the adventurer.

Activated Feats or abilities: These are activated in specific circumstances, or by a gesture or incantation. Spells for more magic users are activated abilities as are skills that give a temporary boost to damage or defense. This also includes enchantments that have been placed onto weapons, armor or accessories worn by the adventurer.

Triggered Feats or abilities: These are activated skills but require specific circumstances to activate. These are usually defensive abilities that help lessen or negate incoming damage or spells. This also includes enchantments that have been placed on weapons, armor or accessories worn by the adventurer.

Equipment: Displays a real time view of the adventurer in their equipment at the center of the display. Sections around the display show the individual items, minus the adventurer, with information on their offensive or defensive totals, as well as enchantments. The individual equipment displays are Head, Chest, Legs, Boots, Wrist, Weapon, Shield/Offhand Weapon, Back and Accessories. If the adventurer has multiple accessories, the display is replaced with a button that brings up an Accessory page.

Head: Displays an image of the helmet, hood, or circlet that the adventurer is wearing. Stat changes, defensive increases and enchantment bonuses are listed beside the image.

Chest: Displays an image of the armor and clothing currently worn by the adventurer. Stat changes, defensive increases and enchantment bonuses are listed beside the image.

Legs:

Displays an image of the armor and clothing currently worn by the adventurer. Stat changes, defensive increases and enchantment bonuses are listed beside the image.

Boots: Displays an image of the armor, boots or shoes currently worn by the adventurer. Stat changes, defensive increases and enchantment bonuses are listed beside the image.

Wrist: Displays an image of the bracers or gloves currently worn by the adventurer. Stat changes, defensive increases and enchantment bonuses are listed beside the image.

Weapon: Displays an image of one-handed or two-handed weapon, bow, staff, or wand currently in use by the adventurer. Stat changes, defensive increases and enchantment bonuses are listed beside the image.

Shield/ Offhand Weapon: Displays an image of shield or offhand weapon currently in use by the adventurer. Stat changes, defensive increases and enchantment bonuses are listed beside the image.

Back: Displays an image of the cloak, cape, or quiver currently in use by the adventurer. Stat changes, defensive increases and enchantment bonuses are listed beside the image.

Accessories: ​​​Displays an image of rings, belt, or necklace currently in use by the adventurer. Stat changes, defensive increases and enchantment bonuses are listed beside the image. If the adventurer wears multiple accessories, when more than two are present the display changes to a button that opens a new page for the accessories.

Party: Displays information about members of the adventurer’s traveling party. Displaying Heath, Mana, Stat totals as well as Feats that affect the party member or party. Pact house member information is also displayed. Party leader can add and remove people from the party or give party leader status to another member. Party members have the option to leave the party at any time. Exception is made with amnesiac adventurers, as they will be permanently paired with their supporter(s).

Pact House: Displays adventurer’s standing within their Pact house. The standings are grouped by level:

Beginner: levels one to five

Novice: levels six to fifteen

Journeyman: levels sixteen to thirty

Artisan: levels thirty-one to fifty

Master: fifty-one and up

Total prestige gained is shown beside adventurer’s name. At level twenty-five, the adventurer can see the global standings of their Pact house, compared to the others. Top twenty-four Pact houses will be part of the annual tournament. Winning Pact house is given increased facilities, upgrades, and boons by the Council. Top ten will be part of a centennial tournament. Winning Pact house is given increased facilities, upgrades, and boons by the Council. Top scoring adventurer is given a special boon by the Council.

When we finished, we were surprised at the many functions the bracer served. We had tested the various screens, familiarizing ourselves with the displays and functions. I toggled the time, as did Amenthia and Enti and I was surprised when something resembling a digital watch appeared just below my mana display.

“Amenthia, what is the standard unit of time for a day? On earth a day is twenty-four hours.”

She smiled and answered, “It is the same here as well, the only difference is that every month has exactly thirty days and there are only ten months.”

“Ahh, okay, too bad it can’t be added to our bracer yet, but at this point it isn’t really important. Besides, if the date is a special one, I am sure you two will make sure I know about it, so I don’t look foolish.”

“Of course,” Enti replied with a smile. “Now that we are done, can we have the reward that we were promised?”
