Chapter 81: 2/3 Mapped

Wednesday and Thursday both Zac and Fred were busy in the office. Suzanne was with Bill and at the airport completing accounts. The only one with time was Helena. Helena took some cash from room 2 and walked to Tugun to leave it there and collect her mail. She cleaned the unit and had lunch at the surf club. She walked back to the home unit. Today she enjoyed the walk and was not bothered by anyone. Thursday she completed some shopping knowing Vanuatu was coming in the next two weeks. Helena planned to arrive on the Thursday morning. Ringing William she outlined her plan to attend Xena graduation. There were no major problems or actions needed.

On Friday Fred was full of smiles. He got out of bed, dressed and went downstairs to get some takeaway breakfast and coffee’s. Returning at 7.30, Helena was sitting out on the balcony wondering about Fred location. When he returned with the breakfast and coffee’s she appreciated his efforts. They enjoyed a nice brekky on the balcony.

At 9am Zac and Suzanne arrived. Fred announced “Helena and Suzanne please come into the office for a presentation.”

They walk over to the office. There were 4 maps on mobile stands with pins showing Helena her properties in NSW and Qld with a separate map for the Tweed/Gold Coasts and Brisbane. Each pin had the address of the property. It was amazing the amount she owned.

Helena stated “Thank you guys for this, It great. Now the good news. When I was in Vanuatu last time. I found around 950 title deeds in one of the locked boxes. Next time we go over darling, we will bring them back here and find out where they relate to. The property are all over the east coast, Vic, ACT, NSW and Queensland. I don’t recall any of the addresses and none of these seem to relate.”

The three of them looked astonished at Helena. “Yes guys I am still finding more and more of my assets. There is around USD 550 million in bonds as well.”

She sat down in a chair. Both Fred and Zac gave her a hug.

Fred replied “Don’t worry darling we will support and help you.”

Suzanne held her hand “Yes you can count on us for support.” Zac smiled and nodded in answer.

They went for a walk along the beach footpath and stopped off at Greenmount Club for coffee and an early lunch. Zac mentioned “Petra rang asking about some computer access. I got our airport computer people to contact her to see what was needed and a link to our office. They are going to send through a quote.”

Fred replied “We could have her backup server in our office, so if anything occurred in Brissie we still have info here.”

Suzanne pointed out “Petra will need quite a powerful computer for the design and drafting. I believe she knows what she wants, It whether we want to pay for the equipment?”

Helena smiled knowing they were trying to distract her from her find. “I’m prepared to approve $250k plus for the equipment. I can see at least 5 regular and up to 10 casual staff for various needs. We have the funds and we want a good job done.”

They looked at Helena and smiled. Zac said “Funny that was the budget I had in mind. I can picture her now with two computers, 4 screens and overlooking the build from the window.” They all laughed as they realised the same picture of Petra.

Helena advised “Zac let her have $100k for furniture and some office building work, Desk etc etc.”

Zac smiled “Not a problem, Andy could draw up a floor design keeping that bloody big table in her room for our meetings.”

Fred smiled and stated “I can see that table now full of various plans and designs and god help anyone who moves anything they will feel the wroth of Petra.” They all laughed again picturing Petra and the table full of plans.

Helena now felt very happy with her husband and good friends helping her out. They concluded their early lunch in harmony.

Harry mentioned ‘You have plenty of support my lady.’

Fred returned to the Victorian project, He decided to just get the addresses of the property and purchase price he would fill in the other details later. By Tuesday he felt he had all of the property details. Zac came in and within 3 hours had updated property values. It was at that point Zac laughed. “You silly fool Fred!!!”

Fred looked “What?”

Zac laughing “All of your purchase costs are in Australian Pounds not Dollars. They were all purchased before 1966.”

Fred looked annoyed “Don’t Tell Helena.” A quick insert of a column and a quick formula converted the Pounds to Dollars.”

Zac continuing to look at the list realised Helena had some of the best property locations in Victoria. He exclaimed “Bloody hell this must at least double her wealth mate?”

Fred replied “You are not wrong. I’m not going to do an estimated total until she is here after last Friday occurrence.”

Zac replied worried “Yes I agree. We must have Suzanne here in support. Have you noticed they seen to have some fantastic rapport?”

Fred replied “Yes it seems they know somehow how each one is feeling/saying etc. I’m happy with that, you know girls always are better in pairs.”

Zac stated “Yes I agree. Well it looks like I will be busy visiting properties!”

Fred smiled “We mate, we. Travelling around will be fun. I don’t want to be sitting here all of the time, I do need to get out.”

Fred printed out the list and passed over a book. “Read the book and mark off the properties, just to make sure I have covered them all.”

They started reading and marking off the printed list all identified properties.

Suzanne and Helena came in at 6pm asking “You guys hungry? Or is that a stupid question?”

Fred asked “Do you want a total Helena?”

Zac stated “Best to sit down first.’

Helena and Suzanne sat down. Fred did the formula to add up the current estimated valuations. He adjusted the column to reveal the total. It was over $42 billion. Helena sat back. Suzanne grabbed her hand in support. Harry help as well. Helena quietly stated “Thank you guys I figured around 30 not 42. Well we will have a fun job visiting all of the sites over the next couple of years.”
