Chapter 80: Architect Brief issued

On Tuesday Julie drove the four of them to Brisbane in the white limo. They met Petra at 9.45 outside the building. They took the lift to the 17^th floor and showed Petra her new office. She was impressed with the size. Julie came up at 10am after parking the limo and getting the cappuccino’s for all. Suzanne did warn Petra to make sure you keep Helena with coffee. Everyone laughed. Petra looked at Helena in surprise and mentioned ‘a private joke?’

Helena smiling, mentioned ‘No I like coffee and they dig me about it, I’m fine with their comments.’

Suzanne mentioned ‘Yea, don’t go near Helena in the morning until she has had at least 3 coffees Petra. I’m warning you. By the way how is Harry?’

Petra replied ‘Fantastic, your right, the best shower ever.’

Zac asked “Do we have enough copies of the brief for everyone please?”

Petra replied “Yes Zac I got 20 copies for all.”

They all sat around the table and discussed a plan of action.

Later the three ladies went over to the window and looked over the site.

Petra mentioned ‘If we talk like this, others do not hear.’

Suzanne replied ‘Yes correct. How has Harry been?’

Petra replied ‘Wonderful, went for a drink on Saturday night and this guy tried to pick me up. Harry said number 1. We, I think Harry took a role, danced with the guy then he took me to a private office. He had me on the desk. The orgasm was fantastic, then I felt the ring tingle and he went very soft and fell on me. I knew he was dead. I zipped him up and moved him onto a chair. I made him look as if he was sleeping. I returned to my drink. The bar tender asked where the guy was. I told him he pick up another chick on the dance floor and left me with a jerk. After the drink I looked in the mirror and looked at myself. I looked kinda fuzzy.’

Suzanne stated ‘That’s Harry making sure you are not recognised. Seen but not recognised. Possibility the bar tender will not recognise you when or if you go back there. He is good like that.’

Petra advised ‘I take it this is how I will help the project.’

Helena replied ‘Some like that, others Harry will ‘Truth’ them, you just need to ask the correct question, with Harry’s help, and they cannot lie.’

The girls looked at each other and smiled. Just then a knock on the door. Julie opened the door and directed some 5 people to the table. Within 5 minutes all parties including Andy had arrived. The girls and guy’s all shook hands with them all. Harry mentioned ‘That Peter is a liar, I have truth him.’ All three girls replied ‘Thanks Harry.’ in unison.

Zac commenced the meeting and introduced the owners group starting with Fred and ended with Petra, our Project Manager for the company and your first contact.

Petra handed out 2 copies of the brief’s to each architect. “This is the brief. We have invited you 6 companies to look over the brief and come back to us with some building proposals. During the owners discussion I did draw up 5 ideas they came with. One is a favourite but we are not restricting you to these sketches.”

Helena stated “We are calling the building ‘The Edward’ and have secured the name. The idea is, as much parking as possible below grounds. Ground, 1,2,3, possibility 4 shopping, restaurants, banking and other amenities. What ever you can plan and or organise. The rest of the building to be a green building to meet environment issues you all foresee. As high as possible, I know we are restricted for aircraft issues in the city. Floors five upwards your ideas, Office, hotel, conference centres, I am giving you free reign. The condition is I will own your plans. I am prepared to pay each one of you $50,000 for your plans. I might feel some parts of one and parts of another meet my requirement. If you are not prepared to hand over your plans then please leave the documents on the table and leave now.

Peter stated “That is not how we work. We own our drawing and you pay if you use part of them.”

Petra replied “That is not correct. We are paying you to do some plans, therefore they are our property. As Helena stated that is the conditions of going forward with the brief. Are you happy to accept?”

Peter before he realised what he said replied “No. I want ownership female.”

Zac and Fred stood up. Fred told harshly “Leave the room. We do not want you to be a part of the project and leave the brief’s on the table please.”

Peter and his partner got up and left the room. Julie quickly closed the door on them clipping their heels.

Petra stated “Sorry for that, but are you 5 prepared to work under the conditions Helena ask?”

All five replied “Yes.” One went on and said “I am glad he is out of here. He is not nice.”

Helena continued “There could arise the situation that we do like major parts of two or more plans, are you guys prepared to work together in need?”

The five of them looked at each other Andy stated “I have done joint projects with two of these guys before so Yes.”

The other four all nodded and answered “Yes.”

Helena replied “Thank you. For any contact Petra will be your main person and is taking over this floor here as her office. She will be getting another part of this building to make into an induction centre for everyone, yes anyone, who is going to be a part of the project must be met by either Petra, Suzanne or myself.”
