Chapter 78: Petra Joining

On Wednesday, Harry had made sure the men were working on a problem together and arranged for Helena and Suzanne to be at the unit together. Whilst they were sitting down on the balcony admiring the view and drinking coffee. Harry mentioned to the two of them ‘I would like to bring Petra into the group. I see you two busy for the next few years here and in Vanuatu. If Petra is working for you as Project Manager in Brisbane, we, through her, can keep a closer eye on the building for the next 4-5 years. She is like you ladies, like minded, used her body to do things and is a fighter for the right way. She does not like people who take control of others. I know this is unusual but from reading her and some Brisbane people we will need someone on site. She could take over the 17^th Floor as an office for herself and the board.’

Both Helena and Suzanne looked at each other. They knew, at times like this, Harry is asking for guidance and would not force them into any decision, it had to be theirs. Helena stated mentally to Suzanne ‘I have not problem, infact it’s a good idea. Petra is experienced in the industry.’

Suzanne replied ‘Yes I have no concerns, infact having Helena in this type of exchange has been very helpful to me. Yes Harry bring her in. I take it she already has a ring?’

Harry replied ‘Yes, I will let her dream tonight and get you two to have lunch with her before she meets the men. When I do bring in someone else, it’s best for all to be together for the agreement. Thank you ladies.’

The girls looked at each other Helena stated “I wonder what ahead for us with another person in the network? It will relieve the pressure for travel to Brissie all of the time to check people out.”

Suzanne replied “That was my thought initially yes, but in the building trade there are a lot of bad people. I like it.”

They clinked their cups together in salute.

Around 12 noon the guys came into the unit and asked, as men usually do “What’s for lunch darlings?” the girls got up and asked “Are you taking us for pub or club lunch?” smiling.

The guys agreed for the surf club.

During lunch Suzanne asked they guys “As we are based here. Do you guys think it would be a good idea to have a project manager based in Brisbane. One that works for our company? They could use the 17^th Floor as their base. It would save us travelling up there all of the time?”

The guys looked at each other, Fred replied “Yes it would save us some time if we had someone there keeping an eye on things. Why?”

Zac replied “Yes but someone we all trust?”

Suzanne replied “How about Petra? She is looking for a job and with her Brisbane and building experience, I believe she would make a good project manager for us!”

Fred asked “Helena you are very quiet?”

Zac replied “Yes Petra came recommended to us and does live north of Helensvale, so the travel would be an hour shorter than ours. Good idea Suzanne.”

Helena smiled “I would like to talk to Petra tomorrow before you guys see her work. Suzanne and I will talk to her at lunchtime, before she presents her brief to you. Is that all right?”

Fred rang Petra and asked her “Are you able to come for lunch with two directors before presenting your brief, would that be Ok?”

Petra agreed to meet Suzanne and Helena at 12 noon at Greenmount Surf Club.

They guys returned to the office to work on the maps. Helena said “Nice one Suzanne, bring up the idea with the guys, Thank you.” Suzanne smiled.

They returned to their unit after some shopping for their respective units.

Petra arrived at 11.30 to meet Helena and Suzanne who were already seated in the back corner.

They ordered some lunch and Petra pulled out the brief from her case. Helena mentioned “Put that away, we are meeting for another reason.” Petra looked at them.

Suzanne started “You had a dream last night, one that you can vividly recall even now.”

Petra “How do you know?”

Helena mentioned “We will come to that later please.”

Petra looked worried at them both. “Ok. Yes I did.”

Suzanne said “It involved rolling hills, a mean woman and a nasty boy, but the both got dealt with in their own nasty way.”

Petra looked surprised.

Helena asked “Did you agree with the ring spirit, in the way he dealt with the problem.”

Petra “Sure, I do not like people that steal or make people slaves. If you do not work for the common good, why bother with life.”

Both Helena and Suzanne smiled. Harry took over ‘Do you wish to join and help out for the common good of all?’

Petra looked worried and thought ‘Yes but who are you and why are you in my mind?’
Harry mentioned ‘Both Helena and Suzanne are hearing this, I am the spirit of the ring. I am many centuries old and I have, with cooperation of other females, deal with thief’s, the slave drivers etc or as I call them the nasty ones. Both Helen and Suzanne have help me achieve some considerable improvements locally. If you agree and I will not return if you do not agree, to help in this lifetime to get rid of the nasty ones.’

Petra spoke to Helena and Suzanne “Is this correct, you help to get rid of ‘nasty’ people. How do you not get in trouble?”

Helena replied “Our guide has ways to achieve this. He is not bossy but will take control if anything is going to happen to you so you are not injured. We vibrate at a different frequency to others and we are not unseen but not recognise. He will explain this if you agree. Life will be different, but you have a lot more resources at your help, if you join us.”
