Chapter 77: Suzanne Qualified

Fred woke up around 6am and moved over in the bed to cuddle Helena. He ended us sleeping with his leg over Helena’s leg. Helena woke 15 minutes later and push Fred onto his back. She rolled on top of him and started to kiss his face then neck. As she was travelling down his chest to his nipples, she could feel Fred getting very hard. She pushed off the sheets and mounted him, Fred woke up just as the sheets were taken off him. He could feel Helena fully around his hard on and started to pump into her, They both went faster and came in reckless abandonment. They collapsed together and rolled onto their sides trying to recover their breathing. Some 5 minutes later they had a shower together. This shower did take some time to finish. Dressed they went down to the coffee shop for a large breakfast.

They returned to their unit and had a quiet day. Ben and Suzanne were in Brisbane doing some work. Helena thought it was with the new building.

Suzanne and Ben drove to Brisbane. He had put forward her submission to become a qualified solicitor. They had completed the paperwork under section 5 of the LPA 2007, — Suzanne was admitted. Ben suggested that they return to Coolangatta and call everyone to dinner and they can announce. She thought to Harry ‘Please don’t tell Helena.’

Harry replied ‘Sure.’ smiling.

Ben rang Janet and was asked to get everyone to dinner at 6.30 at the steak house.

They all arrived by 6.30. In attendance were Bill, Julie, Lisa, Joe, Jane, Andrew, Fred, Helena and Zac. They all asked Janet “What was going on?”

She advised “I don’t know, but Ben wanted to see us all today. He is driving down from Brisbane.”

Helena sat quietly and asked Harry ‘What is wrong?’

Harry replied ‘Nothing wrong.’ It was short and abrupt.

Helena mentioned again ‘Anything wrong Harry?’

He replied ‘nope’ and would not expand, which was unusual for him. After all he was requested not to say anything and nothing was wrong. Even Harry would not spoil good news.

At 6.45 both Ben and Suzanne arrived. They sat down and ordered a drink. They ordered entree and main meals. After it was finished and before desert. Ben stood up with Suzanne and announced Suzanne has now been admitted to the Bar and can now practice as a solicitor under her own right.

They all stood up and congratulated her. Especially Jane.

Helen mentioned to Harry ‘Were you told not to tell me?’

Harry replied ‘I told the truth nothing was wrong, and yes Suzanne wanted to personally tell you.’

Helen replied ‘Thank you Harry I do understand.’ smiling.

She gave Suzanne a big hug whispering “Harry would not tell me, he wanted you to do it, I understand. Congratulations.”

The staff from the shop then came out with a large tray selection of various cakes and biscuits together with refreshed drinks. They continued on with chit chat.

Lisa asked Helena “How was Danielle during the weekend?”

Helena replied “Very good and had a good time with Paul. We spend some time shopping, She did have all but one meal with Paul though. She even got to meet the Island Governor. How was she today?”

Lisa replied “On cloud nine. She told us, her dad was very happy meeting Paul. They flew back at 4pm, that’s when Danielle felt down. Lovers, it bring back memories.” Smiling, they both laughed.

By 9.30 they started to go home, everyone congratulated Suzanne again before they left. It was finally down to the four of them Zac asked “Why did you not tell us?”

Suzanne advised “Ben got me to sign some forms last Monday and I did not fully look at them. It was my application to the bar. It was approved by Thursday and swearing in today. I was approved very quickly, I feel due to my directors appointments and Ben’s strong recommendation. Being student excellent of the university also helped. I am happy Ben did put forward my application. He only told me driving to Brisbane why we are going. I am still going to work with him a few days a week. Our role is the support of Helena. We are going to discuss our role’s together. But now I can spend some more time with you guys.”
