Chapter 74: Evans

William and Helena had breakfast together at 8am, letting Paul and Danielle have their breakfast together alone. William advised “Lucy really likes Danielle and she had a great evening with us all together. She was worried, Paul is a catch here on the islands due to his job and being single. Lucy was worried he might end up with someone who would not be good company for him. Danielle appears to be very intelligent and a good companion.”

Helena replied. “She was introduced by Bill to us and has certainly made a great team member, however Lisa is worried she may lose her to your operations. I just smiled. Who can stop true love.”

The meeting with Evan was set for 9.30am at William office. He arrived with two other people. Helena asked to be introduced to them Evan refused. Helena then stated there will be no talking until either introductions or they leave the room. He nodded to them to leave the room. Helena opened the door for them and accidentally brushed their hands, Harry tagged them.

Harry mentioned ‘Yep hood’s replacement.’

Helena stated “Your intentions please?”

Evans looked at William, no way was he going to talk or listen to a female. William smiled and waited for him to reply. Finally he started “I know you got this business for a song. I am offering you 500 million for 50% of the business. I know you need funds.” Still looking at William “You run the business as you please, but do some shipments for me as I direct. Good Deal?” Not at any time did he look at Helena.

William smiled, looking at Helena asked “I wonder where he got the information we needed funds?”

Evan stated, still looking at William only “I have a copy of your financial information and you do need funds?”

Helena stated “We have not issued any accounts publicly, so please show us your information.”

Evans looked at Helena in annoyance “Not to you.” Short, abrupt, infact rude.

William smiled “Unless Helena wished to sell any of her 51%, I am keeping mine.”

He looked at them both “The records show you own the lot William.”

Helena smiled. William stated “Someone has been lying to you. We do not need funds. No deal.”

Helena stood up and opened the door. “Goodbye.”

He left the room angry and stormed out his two henchmen scrambled to follow.

Closing the door Helena sat down and smiled at William “51%.”

William smiled “Sorry slip of the tongue. But his face. He did not want anything to do with a female. Nasty bloke. I’m going to ask customs to check any of his letters and parcels now.”

Helena replied “Yes and I feel a quite word to Tony will help out.”

Helena returned to the hotel. Seeing Phillip Helena asked “When are you seeing Tony next?”

Phillip replied “Lunch today, he wants to confirm a rumour that you are here? Would you like to attend lunch with us in the board room at 12.30?”

Helena smiling “Sure, but don’t tell him, I will wander in around 12.35. You can have the laugh this time dear Phillip.” Phillip smiled whilst Helena returned to her room. Tina came up with a cappuccino. Tina stated “Xena told me to always have a cuppa ready when you return to the hotel. Hopefully this is OK Miss Helena?”

Helena smiled “Yes but Xena did not tell you, she was crafty and always came with two, so she did not have to keep running back and forth?”

Tina quickly asked “I can get you another one now if you wish?”
Helena smiled “Not this time Tina, but thank you for offering. I am joining Phillip for lunch today, so I will have a few then.”

Tina quickly stated “I shall arrange an extra place setting for you. He will be in the board room.”

Helena replied “No we are surprising Tony. Just have one ready outside please.”

Tina smiled “And would you like me to bring in a coffee at the same time?”

Helena replied “Yes please, and a drink for Tony and Phillip please.” Tina left the room smiling. She was beginning to understand why Xena liked Miss Helena. She is a nice polite lady.

At 12.33 Helena left her room and walked into the board room. Tony had his back to the door. Helena quietly walked up behind him and said “Boo.”
