Chapter 72: Job interviews

Fred woke before Helena and just looked at her beauty. He gently moved out of the bed and after using the toilet made a nice herbal cup of tea. He came back into the bedroom. Seeing Helena was still fast asleep he went out to the balcony to have his cuppa. Helena woke with a start. Not seeing Fred, then she smelt the cuppa. She smiled grabbing her mug of herbal tea, she joined Fred on the balcony. She kissed the top of his head as thanks for the cuppa. They had not uttered a word to each other yet. Again the smell of bacon and eggs awoke their hunger. Looking at each other they moved and returned to the bed room. As Fred was about to put his foot into his underpants Helena pushed him onto the bed and pounced on him kissing him madly. He rose for the occasion. They make love together just enjoying the energy together. They soon came and made delightful sounds together.

After some 5 minutes rest they showered then dressed for breakfast. In the lift, it stopped on the 21^st floor. In walked Suzanne and Zac. They went together to Greenmount for a fine hardy breakfast consisting of sausages, bacon, eggs, bake beans and toast and about 8 cappuccino’s.

Zac mentioned. “Well, yesterday was certainly an exciting and delightful day.”

Fred replied “Yes what a day, as the boss said we will have our work cut out looking after that building project mate.”

Helena and Suzanne just looked at their men proud of their efforts and enthusiasm. Suzanne and Zac were going to their Surfers home today. Fred and Helena had a weekend to themselves.

On returning to their unit Helena made some herbal tea and sat out in the balcony. Fred joined her asking “Anything happening today lover?”

Helena did not immediately reply. Then said “I’m just enjoying the view and mentally relaxing.”

They sat for around an hour just holding hands watching the trees gently move and the surf rolling with the surfers trying to catch some waves. It was very peaceful.

Basically for the rest of the day they did nothing. Had lunch then dinner and retired early to bed.

Sunday the markets were on down stairs. They wandered down to have a browse. They purchased some soap, food and Fred got a new belt.

Monday Fred and Zac returned to the office to continue on the mapping and Victorian project.

Helena rang Suzanne on Tuesday asking if she is busy. Suzanne advised she is going to the airport to interview some new staff and asked if interested, she agreed.

Julie picked up Helena and Suzanne at 9.30. On arriving at the office, Danielle was so happy to see them and made a nice cuppa. They entered the board room and together with Lisa reviewed the resume’s of the applicants. For some reason Helena called in Trudy and Danielle. “Girls we have some 8 applicants coming in, if you know them in any way can you let us know?”

Both Trudy and Danielle looked at Helena and agreed. Danielle said “We will call you out for a coffee if we have anything to inform you with.” They all agreed.

The first two interviews were OK. The third Trudy mentioned “Coffee’s ready”

When they went to the tea room Trudy advised “The next applicant use to work here and I’m not sure if she is related to one or more of the previous staff. Is that the information you need?”

Lisa replied “Yes if you know them for any reason good or bad, we want to know.”

Helena and Suzanne smiled. Harry commented ‘Make contact and I’ll truth her.’

The older woman walked in and was introduced. They asked a few questions then came to former employees. She had not recorded her time in this office. Suzanne asked if she had any experience in the aircraft industry she replied “No.” Immediately she got a headache. Helena smiled.

She asked to leave, they agreed. They informed Trudy, she was happy it was not returning.
