Helena Zee-Smith had just finished a University degree in business administration and humanities, earning honours. Deciding to take an overseas trip Helena elected to go to India. With her first night in New Delhi, Helena dressed in a conservative knee long cream dress with short sleeves and flat white shoes. She walked to a local night market getting jostled by all.
Helena could not believe the number of people around. Knowing that India is the second most populated country. It still amazed her with the amount of people. Going down one of the side alleys, she noticed a small shop with some jewellery. Walking into the small shop, it gave her a rest from all the people pushing her around outside.
Looking at the jewellery, Helena noticed an old gold ring that looked like a bird nest setting on top. Asking the price, she was surprised that the cost was only about $50 dollars Australian. Showing the shop owner that she has an Australian $50 note, she wished to purchased the ring asked where could she change the currency. The shop owner mentioned in broken english that he would accept the note and placed the ring in a suitable box. Deal done. Placing the ring box in her purse, she exit the store to look around further.
Helena did not notice that she was no longer getting pushed or bump by other people. People seemed to turn around, or to the side, as she walked further into the markets. Completing a few more purchases, she returned to her hotel. Helena completed her 10 day travel trip in India with no further problems.
On returning to Australia, Helena ‘rediscovered’ the ring box whilst unpacking and tried the ring on for size. Placing the ring on her left middle finger, she found it fitted perfectly, in fact seemed to snuggle onto the finger. It felt perfect in that position.
Completing the rest of unpacking everything just seemed to be ready for returning to her wardrobe or the washing basket. Helena had dinner.
Deciding to have an early night Helena undresses and went to bed. The ring just seemed to feel great on her finger and she did not notice that she failed to remove it.
