Steph and Linc saw each other almost every night for several weeks. She had him wrapped around her little finger. She was pushing for a fast-tracked commitment from him. Linc was getting very comfortable with the idea and was falling right into her web.
As part of her plan, Steph was also manipulating Paul’s opinion of Linc by painting a picture based on pure lies. She wanted Paul to hate Linc so she could control him. She presented Linc as a rich snob, uncaring and even cruel—especially in bed with his pencil dick. She made Paul believe Linc was thoughtless, self-centered, possibly misogynistic, and maybe even a suppressed gay. She constantly texted Paul with horrendous lies about Linc, and how well her plan was working.
[Steph] Monthly visitor so the jerk only got a handjob tonight
[Paul] Could you find it?
[Steph] Haha! Took a while. My plan – Doing daily dork dinky dick diddling!
[Paul] Hahaha
[Steph] I love alliterations
[Paul] What?
[Steph] Never mind!
In reality, Linc was the opposite of the picture Steph was painting. On occasion, Steph even felt a little guilty about what she was doing to Linc. Actually, even though they never had intimate touch, she knew he was concealing a rather large package. She wondered if he may actually turn out to be good in bed. Then her ultimate goal recaptured her thoughts. ‘I’ve gotta keep my eyes on the big prize. Feeling bad for him gets me nothing and I sure don’t want to be stuck with him.’
Steph had Linc primed to take their ‘romance’ right to where she wanted it. Six weeks into their relationship she was sure he was going to pop the big question. He had set up an elaborate date to go to the best restaurant in town.
She texted Paul to share her expectations and further smear Paul’s image of Linc.
[Steph] Think I’ll get the ring tonight
[Paul] Why
[Steph] Promised butt if he asks. He told me to bring KY
[Paul] You hate butt
[Steph] Anything for ½ billion
[Paul] When you finally dump him I’m gonna make him hurt
[Steph] You’re sweet. I’ll help you.
[Paul] How do you stand him? You ok?
[Steph] Yeah. Nerd humping worth the prize.
[Paul] You’re awesome.
[Steph] Just hope he doesn’t make me bleed again
[Paul] He’s a dead man!
[Steph] Calm down. I can take it
[Paul] I’ll kiss it and make it better.
That night at the restaurant, Linc struggled with his nerves.
“Steph, can I ask a stupid question?”
“Sure, Baby.”
“Why me? I mean, I’m really in love with you. But, why me?”
“Linc—you’re smart, handsome, great to talk with, and I’m just so comfortable in your arms.”
“I think you’re amazing and beautiful, and I just never dreamed that someone as great as you could ever love me.”
“I do love you, Linc. Just you. Only you!”
Steph’s sweet smile masked the evil joy within. Her brain went into overdrive. ‘I got you, you moron. Ask the question. Come on, get on with it!‘
“Well, then...” Linc rose from his seat and went down on one knee. “Would you do me the honor of becoming my wife?”
Steph bellowed so the whole restaurant could hear.
“Yes! Oh, yes, yes, yessss, yesssss, yesssss!”
The diners around them applauded and offered congratulations.
Steph’s thoughts exploded. ‘Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! Show me the money dipshit.’
Linc still had not revealed the extent of his wealth to Steph. She figured he knew she thought he was doing well, but fortunately for her, Linc had no idea just how aware she was of his situation. The nerd actually thought his cautious approach proved her true love. ‘Perfect naïveté.’
After she said yes, Linc said he wanted to show her everything. He felt safe unmasking the mystery he thought was still a secret. After dinner, he drove her to his estate and showed her the truth.
“Where are we going, Linc?”
“Now that we’re going to be married, I thought you should see our home.”
“Our home? Did you buy a place assuming I’d say yes?” Her act continued as she pretended ignorance.
“No. It’s my family homestead where I live alone—for now.”
Steph knew he was rich, but even her wildest imagination didn’t anticipate what she saw. The 110-acre estate was massive. There are 16 bedrooms, each with an en suite. The master bedroom was bigger than any entire house she had ever lived in. The entryway was like the lobby of a 5-star hotel. Staff included full-time security personnel, groundskeepers, a chef, housekeepers, and a butler who was more of a home manager. The backyard was a massive entertaining area with several pools built into a rock formation to give it a natural appearance. The largest pool was connected with an indoor pool for year-round fun. And to make sure there were things to do? There was a 32 seat movie theater, a 2 lane bowling alley, a complete workout room, and a separate building with 43 classic cars. It all belonged to Linc – and soon half would be hers!
