Chapter 7

Josh walked out of the bedroom. He saw no one. He stood there for a moment, listening. Nothing. He made his way to the landing. Down to the main floor. Nothing.

He was just about to walk out onto the back deck when the front door flew open and Blake rushed in, followed closely by Kelli.

“Grab your mom and as much as you can carry. We need to leave. NOW!”

Josh saw no reason to argue with him and soon the three of them were making their way up the stairs.

“Mom?” Lisa didn’t move. Josh walked over and shook her shoulder. “Mom!”

Lisa opened her eyes, at least partially. “No more. Please.”

“No, Mom. It’s me. Josh. You need to wake up. We need to leave.”

Lisa managed to get up and they threw a robe on her. Soon, they were loaded up in the jeep and heading down the road. Kelli was driving while Blake and Lisa were in the back seat.

Lisa was clearly having problems keeping her eyes open. When she talked, her words were slurred. “We’ll explain later, Mrs. Stevens. We just need to get you away from that place.”

Josh leaned over to Kelli, “Where are we going?”

A friend of mine. He and his family are in Europe, so we can crash there. No one will know.”

Josh looked back and saw that his mom was asleep. She was curled up against Blake’s side. “I know they drugged me, but so everything that happened last night was a blur. Do you guys know what exactly happened last night?” Josh wasn’t ready to admit how much he remembered, especially where he had fucked his own mom.

“I always knew my dad could be an asshole. I just never how much. Josh, I am so sorry about all this.”

“Unless you knew what was going on, you have nothing to be sorry for.”

“But me...” Blake looked down at Lisa and pulled her robe together to better cover up her private areas, “and your mom.”

“Don’t worry about it. You didn’t know.”

They drove the rest of the way in relative silence. They had gone about two hours before Josh noticed they were coming into a residential area. A few minutes later and Kelli was tapping a code into a keypad and a garage door was opening. They pulled in and the door shut.

Kelli turned off the engine and looked back into the back seat. Blake was asleep, but Lisa was awake. “We’re here, Mrs. Stevens.”

Pulling themselves out of the jeep. Josh couldn’t help but notice his mom cringe. “Are you alright, Mom.”

Lisa managed to smile through the pain, “I will be.” And with that she leaned in and kissed him on the cheek. “I love you, Josh.” Josh couldn’t help but look down at her partially opened robe. Lisa noticed but only smiled.

After a brief tour of the place, Kelli announced that she was going to run to the store. “Do you want one of us to go with you?” It was Josh.
