We decided to wait until another time, so I got one final bodacious kiss with my mother, who put my hand on her covered breast, and had a small moan, before scurrying into the kitchen.
Now, with a non-relenting erection, I went back to what I had been doing, looking at the list of music I had downloaded from the flash drive Mr. Thomas had given me. He had so much Broadway music to look through.
What he gave me was two copies of most of the songs, with vocals and without. I had heard that he had perfect pitch, wishing I did as well. I can read music, as can all of my Love Ten!
When I got tired of that, I went into the kitchen to get a cold bottle of water. In one of my few conversations with Mr. Thomas, I found out that he drank bottled water, almost exclusively.
When Sarah saw I had come in, she planted herself in front of the refrigerator, with crossed arms.
“Mother, I need to get in there to get some water, please?”
“You need to pay the Toll first, Loverboy?”
Oh gosh!
“What is the Toll, today?”
“Your choice of a hard kiss, or putting your hand down inside my panties for fifteen seconds.”
“Must I?” I said putting my hands on my hips.
“Yes!” she said rather sternly.
Before she could move her hands, I put mine on either side of her face, starting a most wonderful kiss.
“Hmmmm, Michael, you are a nice kisser,” she said grabbing me by the waist and pulling me so we were up against one another. I flexed, out of habit and she ‘Hmmm’d,’ again.
If I hadn’t heard the front door open, we would have been caught ... by Nirvana ... uhm, Nevina!
“Hey,” she said, “Oh, did I interrupt something?”
“Yes” “No” she/I said.
“So, you have started wearing the same color lipstick as your mother?” our always gorgeous next-door neighbor remarked.
Mom noticed and wiped it off me, with a smile.
“Don’t worry, Michael, I won’t tell anybody, anything. All I ask for is a kiss of my own from time to time.”
“That sounds like an implied threat,” Sarah said.
“Are you alone, or did you bring back the girls with you?” I asked.
“I’m alone,” she said. “I came by to plan some Love-Nicholas dinners with your mother.”
“Shouldn’t that be Nicholas-Love Dinners, girls usually get top billing?” I said.
While I left them talking about them about that, I walked over to their house, used their hide-a-key, and woke up the four girls with a Prince Charming style kiss, quietly asking them to change and be ready to leave for our house.
June wouldn’t let go of me, getting up to show me she slept naked. After a long glance at her, I went on to Mary, who was a snorer, and I slightly put my hand on her covered breast, waking her and she quickly said, ‘Hey there, Good looking!’ Nancy was up, naked waiting for a kiss, which I did, then lastly, went in my April Love’s bedroom giving her a really romantic kiss, causing her to pull me down and lay on top of her.
I got up, just as Nev and Sarah walked into her room. I wasn’t sure what was about to happen, but I still moved off of her to see her smiling face.
“Do you have an explanation for your actions?” Nevina said.
“Only that all of your daughters taste just like you do, Mrs. Nicholas.”
By now, all but April were dressed ready to go. Despite looking a bit horny, I said, “My brothers are like zombies when their girls aren’t all in the same place.”
I turned when April asked me to tie the ribbon on the back of her dress, and each of her sisters smiled and said, “Thank you,” as they all passed by the three of us. I took an arm from each of them and we all went back to our house. My brothers were all up and dressed, as Sarah said, “This is Saturday, why are you all dressed up?”
“Rehearsal,” William said and each boy followed him in their response.
It was like something from SOUND OF MUSIC, and everyone laughed.
After making a broadcast email to our entire group, now 34 strong) an hour later our entire LFS company was on our stage rehearsing music for an event the following Sunday evening.
Leah brought her sons, Pat and Kevin to join us. We provided them with one of our large books of lyrics, which was now two volumes, each 200 pages of sheet music.
After playing a few pieces of music to hear the oboe and French blend, Nevina was correct with how they helped ‘complete our sound.’ Next was...
MICHAEL
Round
like a circle in a spiral,
like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning
on an ever-spinning reel
Like a snowball down a mountain,
or a carnival balloon
APRIL
Like a carousel that’s turning
running rings around the moon
Like a clock whose hands are
sweeping past the minutes of its face
And the world is like an apple
whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find
in the windmills of your mind!
Our full orchestra sounded fantastique!
BOTH
Like a tunnel that you follow
to a tunnel of its own
Down a hollow to a cavern
where the sun has never shone
Like a door that keeps
revolving in a half-forgotten dream
Or the ripples from a pebble
someone tosses in a stream
Like a clock whose hands are
sweeping past the minutes of its face
And the world is like an apple
whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find
in the windmills of your mind!
NEVINA/SARAH
Keys that jingle in your pocket,
words that jangle in your head
Why did summer go so quickly?
Was it something that you said?
Lovers walking along a shore
and leave their footprints in the sand
Is the sound of distant drumming
just the fingers of your hand?
ALL FOUR
Pictures hanging in a hallway
and the fragment of a song
Half remembered names and faces,
but to whom do they belong?
When you knew that it was
over you were suddenly aware
That the autumn leaves were
turning to the color of her hair!
MICHAEL/APRIL
Like a circle in a spiral,
like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning
on an ever spinning reel
As the images unwind,
like the circles that you find in
The windmills of your mind!
NEVINA/SARAH
Keys that jingle in your pocket,
words that jangle in your head
When did summer go so quickly?
Was it something that you said?
Lovers walking along a shore
and leave their footprints in the sand
Is the sound of distant
drumming just the
fingers of your hand?
Pictures hanging in a hallway
and the fragment of a song
Half remembered names
and faces, but to
whom do they belong?
When you knew that it
was over in the autumn of good-byes
For a moment you could not
recall the color of his eyes!
Like a circle in a spiral,
like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning
on an ever-spinning reel
As the images unwind,
like the circles that you find in
The windmills of your mind!
Wow! That was quite good, with the other ladies doing some background singing and moving together in sync.
“I want the Ryan and Nicholas sisters to dominate the chorus of this next song, please?”.,,

“That’s more like the sound I had in my head when I wanted to start this group, people ... thank you, you sound so very good. APPLAUD FOR YOURSELVES, PLEASE!”
“Charles, you’re up next, Bro,” as Nancy began the music...
CHARLES
How lucky can one guy be?
I kissed her and she kissed me
Like the fella once said,
“Ain’t that a kick in the head?“
The room was completely black,
I hugged her and she hugged back
Like the sailor said, quote,
“Ain’t that a hole in the boat?”
I sent his girl out for him to sing to.
My head keeps spinnin’,
I go to sleep and keep grinnin’
If this is just the beginnin’,
My life is gonna be bee-yoo-tee-ful
I’ve sunshine enough to spread,
It’s just like the fella said
Tell me quick, ain’t that a
kick in the head?
Like the fella once said,
“Ain’t that a kick in the head?”
Like the sailor said, quote,
“Ain’t that a hole in the boat?”
My head keeps spinnin’,
I go to sleep and keep grinnin’
If this is just the beginnin’,
My life is gonna be bee-yoo-tee-ful
She’s tellin’ me we’ll be wed,
She’s picked out a king-size bed
I couldn’t feel any better or I’d be sick
Tell me quick oh, ain’t that a kick?
Tell me quick ain’t
that a kick in the head?
By the end of the song she was nestled in his arms as he sang better than ever! There was a nice quick kiss between them which got its own applause.
We went for an hour, then took a break, with Nev and Sarah getting drinks for whomever wanted one.
First song back was Ty and Nev, from SOUTH PACIFIC, singing ‘This Nearly was Mine,’ a very pretty song...
(She was just there to be sung to)
EMILE
One dream in my heart,
One love to be living for,
One love to be living for,
This nearly was mine.
One girl for my dream,
One partner in paradise,
This promise of paradise
This nearly was mine.
Close to my heart she came
Only to fly away,
Only to fly as day
flies from moonlight
Now I’m alone,
Still dreaming of paradise,
Still saying that paradise
Once nearly was mine.
With the build of the music, it also ended in a kiss between the husband and wife. I was getting remarks for how romantic it was to have the couples. It made no sense to not give the singers the proper motivation.
Up next were the young Nicholas Sisters, The Nicholas Aunts, The Demille twins and the Ryan Sisters (Basically most all the ladies)... (En Vogue’s ‘Never Gonna Get it.’)
I directed this...

It ended cold, and it was as good as I had hoped, as the ladies ‘expressed themselves’ during their individual moments.
Another break!
My brothers came to me saying how good all the ladies were, with Will noticing, “It’s too bad all we saw were their butts!”
Charles countered that with, “Yeah, but they were mighty fine butts, Bro!”
Ken and I agreed wholeheartedly.
We practiced for another hour, with a break, then I sent everyone home to get some rest before our job the following evening.
After locking the place up, we headed for home, with Sarah driving.
There were goodbye kisses all around, and I said to April, “Love you, Baby!”
With all the hard work and school, just around the corner, we made bunches of money, got a reputation as a quality performance act!
The end of the ‘23–’24 school year, had all of us getting even more comfortable around adults. I seemed to have a knack for talking to anyone about anything.
I was happy that Christmas was behind us.
After talking to my brothers and the Nicholas sisters, with the parents observing only, we became a ‘Summer Only’ business, from Memorial Day until Labor Day. That energized everyone, even getting Nevina’s Sisters deciding to join back up, despite whatever their husbands had wanted.
I talked with them, as a group and they insisted they wanted to continue.
In that time-span of months, the original LFS eight had a few birthdays, with:
Mary, turning 17
April, turning 16
June, turning 15
Nancy, turning 14
Michael, turning 18
Charles, turning 17
Kenneth, turning 15
William, having turned 14
For our upcoming 2024 Summer schedule, we had no good reason to do any wholesale changes to our music repertoire, people liked the standards, that our parents sang and the bubbly stuff our brothers and sisters performed. I did insert many of Michael Thomas music he provided. The new music of the day was nothing great, except the occasional smooth country song, that Mary and June would sing together.
We used Michael Thomas’ Honeycomb Monorail System, to avoid taking our bus everywhere. If we were traveling with instruments, the Bus was mandatory.
We also took a trip just to go to CAMELOT, the theme park based on the Arthurian legend of King Arthur, Guinevere and Sir Lancelot. Only $50 a person, a steal compared to the Cedarpoint, and Disney parks. A massive water tube ride was in the works with a January 2025 opening scheduled.
We all took a ride on the amazing Behemoth, a seven-mile-long wooden roller coaster, a drenching at the Excalibur Falls, and a train ride that took you around, CAMELOT, the town on a mountain, called Roma, and the amazing Colosseum, that happened to have a professional stadium, that could hold football games, soccer, and concerts, with room for up to100,000 people to attend.
At the foot of the outside of the Colosseum, was 80 restaurants, each of a different country’s cuisine. I want to try them all, eventually.
Maybe, when April and I are ready to get married, we should think of moving to Vincennes to raise our kids there. I had said to both parents when I was 18 and she was 16, our personal situation would be changing.
That is definitely a keep to myself, though for right now. My last year of school is out in a week, for the summer and we have a lot of music to play and money to make.
Michael Thomas’ movie studio made WHITE CHRISTMAS, and it was fabulous. They won 14 Oscars and the February event, we all watched together at the Love House.
A very fascinating development was how all the girls have blossomed.
While I don’t pretend to understand the number and letter system, when April told me she had become a 36C cup, she was happy, and so was I! That made her ‘bigger’ than her mother, and Sarah.
During that same stretch of time, there had been no more hanky or panky with me and either of the mothers.
My brothers all got taller, and the girls got shapelier, making Sarah and Nevina more nervous at times. They knew what April and I were doing, with Charles and Mary at a lesser degree, the younger couples weren’t talking much.
While Nevina and Sarah were enjoying being part of this, Ty and John were opting out of being involved as much as they had been. I expected as much, and told them separately, that whenever they can join us, it would be appreciated.
I know it sounds like 2024 may be the end of the LFS. As long as I got my brothers and we got our girls and Moms, we got the Love Family Singers.
Anyhow, we all had a week left of the 2024 school year, so every morning, I take the LFS van and get all of us there.
I don’t see April much, being in different grades. I make up for it when I do by giving her a big kiss until somebody says, ‘Get a room,’ or a teacher pulls her away from me. I try to tell them we’re engaged, but that falls on deaf ears.
Charles and Mary have become drivers, something I am personally very happy for.
Schools Out – For Summer
Keeping the LFS together was gnawing at me, but I did get positive feedback from everyone that 2024 would be our best year yet.
Very quickly, we had a performance on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024, a 30th birthday party! We played songs from 1994 during the dinner portion of the evening, it’s always amazing how some good old 60s rock and roll is what gets them out on the dance floor, starting with...
THE LOVE BROTHERS
Just take those old
records off the shelf
I’ll sit and listen
to ‘em by myself
Today’s music ain’t
got the same soul
I like that old-time rock ‘n’ roll
Don’t try to
take me to a disco
You’ll never even
get me out on the floor
In ten minutes
I’ll be late for the door
I like that old-time rock ‘n’ roll
Still like that
old time rock ‘n’ roll
That kind of music
just soothes the soul ooh
I reminisce about the days of old
With that old-time rock ‘n’ roll
Won’t go to hear
them play a tango
I’d rather hear some
blues or funky old soul
There’s only one
sure way to get me to go
Start playing old time rock ‘n’ roll
Call me a relic,
call me what you will
Say I’m old-fashioned,
say I’m over the hill
Today’s music ain’t
got the same soul
I like that old-time rock ‘n’ roll
like that
old time rock ‘n’ roll
That kind of music
just soothes the soul ooh
I reminisce about the days of old
With that old-time rock ‘n’ roll
(Mary wailed on her saxophone)
Still like that
old time rock ‘n’ roll
That kind of music
just soothes the soul ooh
I reminisce about the days of old
With that old-time rock ‘n’ roll
With that old-time rock ‘n’ roll
With that old-time rock ‘n’ roll
Still like that old time rock ‘n’ roll.
The dance floor had been completely full and the people dancing were all ages, from pre-teens to seasoned citizens. We went right from the end of that to play the song with a single word as it’s lyric ... TEQUILA. It gave our very competent combo/orchestra a chance to really shine, while William was the lone voice who said ... TEQUILA!
Our three-number mini-set finished with...
