“That’s a fair deal. To fully disclose I need to tell you that everyone in the house I have or currently am making love with.”

“That doesn’t surprise me at all. I know how to keep a secret darlin,’” she said. That made me smile.

“We aren’t expected back for over two hours -- do you want to have some more, Lizzy?”

“Can I get on top, Michael?” she asked me with the smile of a young girl.

On our trip to the house, Elizabeth said, “Do you break in everybody like you did with me, Michael?”

“A gentleman never reveals all of his tricks,” I said with a laugh.

“I never hurt so good before,” she retorted with a snort. She laughed saying, “I haven’t snorted in a very long time. You bring out the animal in me.”

“You brought out the beast in me, as well,” I answered.

We pulled up to the house, I got her bags from Penney’s after opening the door for her.

The door opened, “They’re here,” Princess said. “Welcome to the house of Michael,” she smiled giving her potential teacher a big hug. “Are you OK?”

She looked back at me and I said, “Let’s talk inside, why don’t we?”

“Do you need a pill, Michael?” Jennie asked.

“Yes please.”

After I took her stuff to her room, I came back down and we all sat around and I explained all that happened, all except the details of our sex.

Many of them knew her, with Princess looking to be her best friend while she stayed with us.

“That leaves us with just one room left,” Jennie Robinson.

“That sounds like you all expect me to be around here for a while,” Elizabeth said.

“You’re beautiful and a redhead, two of Michael’s favorites,” Princess said playing with her own red-tinted hair.

“Thank you dear. I know he explained it all, but the fact that he was there at the time really was supportive. Who knows where I would be right now without him,” she said, “And call me Elizabeth, all of you. Michael gets to call me Lizzy.”

“So, the reason you are walking funny is that you two got a head start on things?” Jennifer questioned.

Walking over to Liz I said, “What we did is nobody’s business ... that we did it, the answer is yes ... three times.” I followed that up giving her a nice kiss and a squeeze of her ass.

She started crying, and I held her closely. “It’s OK Lizzy, you are going to be all right. I have a friend who will tell us if the site of your home is safe enough to rebuild or not. You are welcome here for as long as you need to be. We are one big happy family around here. We will go get your car as soon as we can. Until then, you can get to school with us. It that all right with you?”

“I don’t understand how a young boy can be so full of love while that creep husband ... ex-husband ... was such an ass-hole.”

“Besides that,” I added, “He had a little prick,” getting a slap from Lizzy.

“Michael has a lovely-sized prick,” Tracy said to giggles from all around. “Well, he does.”

“It’s going to be very busy around here,” Tracy said. “My sister used to talk about Michael and his harem, that’s true with the six of us.”

“Actually, at this point, you ladies are more concubines then a harem,” I said. “I can only marry one of you and that will be Jennifer Guthrie.”

She cuddled up next to me saying, “I don’t mind sharing. No one is allowed to be in love with him, except me.

“Where did you go to shop for clothes, Elizabeth?” Tracy asked picking up Andrew.

“Penney’s ... where do you all shop?”

“We usually go to Evansville and shop at Victoria’s Secret. We will take you with us next time we go. It’s really fun,” Isabel declared.

“This time of night, we usually do some singing. Join us. I remember you singing at last year’s Teacher’s Concert,” I said.

“Sure ... I love to sing.”

“How about ‘Don’t Cry Out Loud,’ the song you sang last year? I remember it, do you Lizzy?” I asked her.

“Yeah, if you do?”

I began to play it...

Baby cried the day the
circus came to town
‘cause she didn’t want
parades just passin’ by her

So she painted on a smile
and took up with some clown
While she danced without
a net upon the wire

I know a lot about ‘er
‘cause, you see
Baby is an awful lot like me
Don’t cry out loud
Just keep it inside, learn
how to hide your feelings
Fly high and proud
And if you should fall,
remember you almost had it all{br}

(Her tears started to fall, Jennifer went up to hold and sing with her.)

Baby saw that when they
pulled that big top down
They left behind her
dreams among the litter

The different kind of love
she thought she’d found
There was nothin’ left
but sawdust and some glitter

But baby can’t be
broken ‘cause you see
She had the finest teacher
that was me-I told ‘er{br}

(She had gotten it back together, but Jenn stayed with her)

Don’t cry out loud
Just keep it inside
and learn how to
hide your feelings
Fly high and proud
And if you should fall,
remember you almost had it all{br}

JENN SANG BY HERSELF
Don’t cry out loud
Just keep it inside
and learn how to
hide your feelings
Fly high and proud
And if you should fall,
remember you almost made it{br}

LIZZIE
Don’t cry out loud
Just keep it inside
and learn how to
hide your feelings
Fly high and proud
And if you should fall,
remember you almost had it all

They hugged really tight as the rest of them all applauded her chutzpah. A knock on the door and Peter and Katie were let in. She went to Liz and they hugged so very tight.

“I heard what happened, also that Michael was taking you shopping. Are you all right?”

“I wasn’t ... at least not until Michael offered to let me live with him and his concubines.”

Peter smiled at that. He held up whatever it was he planned to say, quite smartly.

“Was that you singing just now?” Katie asked.

“Yes, it was. I know you both sing, join us for a while please?”

“How many of you ladies know the song from SWEET CHARITY call “Big Spender?”

They all did, and Stu got Andy in his arms. He may have Baby Fever!

“Wonderful, sing it all together. Stuart, tell us if they get too loud, please?”

Andy’s gurgling sounds were in the key of G!

ALL TOGETHER
The minute you
walked in the joint,
I could see you were a
man of distinction,
A real big spender,
Good looking, so refined
Say, wouldn’t you like to know
What’s going on in my mind?

So, let me get right
to the point,
I don’t pop my cork
for ev’ry guy I see.
Hey, big spender, spend...
A little time with
... me ... me ... me!

When the song was over, Peter, Stu and I got up and applauded. These ladies are Hot. I went down the line of them giving them all a kiss. Peter started on the other end, with his wife first. She let him go through the line, but said, “No hands Buddy.”

Next up was Jennie who anticipated and kissed him. Lizzy was next waiting for him ... the kiss was pretty hot, with my fiancée next. He looked at me first, then her, and she pulled his butt so they were tight and he kissed her.

At that point, we crossed paths and I put out my arms to him, but he waved me off ... causing lots of laughter.

I had Jenn and he had hold of his sister. She did the same thing Lizzy had and their kiss was quite erotic. My last kiss was with his wife, and he was done. I did all I could get away with, kissing her and getting the pressure of her bosom against my chest. I had my hands on her butt and she whimpered.

“You said no hands Kitten,” he said.

“That was your rule ... not mine.”

On my way back to the piano, Katie said out loud, “Now, I’m horny, Michael.”

We sang for about forty minutes longer, than everyone else left. I took Lizzy to her room, showing it off, and explaining she and Jennie shared a bathroom. She didn’t seem to mind that and proceeded to put her dresses on hangars. I found and plugged her charger hooking her phone to get a full charge by morning.

I interrupted her long enough to say, “You really are welcome to stay here for as long as you need to. Have a good sleep, Ms. Marvel?”

“You have been so precious today Michael. All you have done will not be forgotten. I have some things to take care of over the next few days. I don’t care to go through the fire to find anything to keep. I’m completely starting over ... thank you.”

We finished with a kiss, and then I left her room.

Jennifer and I went to bed together. She was quiet as we made out a little first.

“I know you love me, Michael. You are too caring for me to keep you all to myself.”

“Sometimes I feel like I’m too quick to be that caring person. Look at my record. Except for you and Isabel, my love life is all about older women. It seems like I have ‘gone off the rails’ as people used to say.”

“Don’t stop caring, lover ... let’s go to sleep.”

AUDITION SATURDAY
Saturday had multiple events planned A SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM rehearsal plus Audition day for Jackson Heights full show of THE MUSIC MAN, Lincoln’s Concert with dancing to SWEET CHARITY and my directing of NEWSIES. It actually made perfect sense, and the powers that be at Jackson Heights were ecstatic over the idea. It would be a long day, but Jeremy and/or Mike Bell loved the idea.

For those who didn’t want to be stuck here all day, the first thing scheduled was THE MUSIC MAN Auditions. Being very classy, Jeremy gave me a few minutes before things started. The Thomas Auditorium was very full of teachers, administrators plus students, friends and family.

With my mic on, I stood up and went to the stage level. A very friendly applause greeted me.

“Hello Everyone?”

“Hello Michael,” almost scared me, it was so together.

“Before we begin, A few announcements are in order. To get it out of the way, Jennifer Guthrie and I are leaving school at the end of this next school year.”

There was a loud gasp from those there.

“There are multiple reasons for this. We plan on taking the GED to satisfy the State of Indiana and get married in late November.”

A nice applause with sounds of girls practically crying permeated the auditorium.

“I’m sorry ladies, but she has told me I can look and not touch,” I added. She blew me a kiss from the front row.

“Now, so that the youngest don’t have to be here all day, the auditions begin with the youngest members to cast Winthrop, Amaryllis, Tommy Djilas, Zaneeta Shinn and the dancing kids chorus. All persons trying out for any of these parts, come out on stage.”

A small horde came up on stage. I heard a few tap shoes in the bunch ... Hmmmm?

“First ... the Winthrop’s, all of you line up, please?”

The taps were attached to Charles King, very interesting?

Cathy was ready on the piano.

“The song is called ‘Gary, Indiana.’ Who wants to start it?”

Charles did not move. Will Bennett had gotten up and sang it through, even adding a small lisp.

“Very nice,” I said leading the applause, “Next?”

Nine other boys all sang the song, a few tried the lisp. Lastly, Charles came up and a spot was on him. Aha... !

Gary, Indiana, Gary Indiana,
Gary, Indiana,
Let me thay it once again.
Gary, Indiana, Gary, Indiana,
Gary, Indiana,
That’s the town that “Knew me when.”

If you’d like to have
a logical explanathion
How I happened on
this elegant syncopathion,
I will thay without
a moment of hesitathion
There is just one plathe
That can light my fathe.

Gary, Indiana,
Gary Indiana,
Not Louisiana, Paris, France,
New York, or Rome, but--
Gary, Indiana,
Gary, Indiana,
Gary Indiana,
My home sweet home.

Next he broke out into a tap number obviously rehearsed, but very well designed.

A great applause for him, and I asked everyone to step back. “Next is the semi -love interest for Winthrop, Amaryllis. Any interested girls can come out. Traditionally sh is taller, but I wouldn’t be against having a small and mighty Amaryllis. Girls, come on out.” About fifteen young ladies came up, including Shirley Neff, Charles’ girl and Carla Cox, who waved to me. There would be an interesting casting decision.

All she performs is the “Piano Lesson” with Marian and her mother, and joins Marion at the end of “Goodnight My Someone,” so that song is what I used.

I had five girls come up and sing the song together walking through and listened. Then five more and the final batch as well. The finalists were Geena Prefontayne, Carla Cox, and Shirley Neff. They each sang it themselves, then I excused them.

I went through the Tommy’s and Zaneeta’s, followed by the Mayor and his wife. We had Jennie run the boys and girls through some easy choreography, then took a break.

The featured parts of Marcellus, the Pick-a-Little Ladies and the quartet went quickly, leaving Marian and Harold.

The young ladies trying for Marian were Nancy Newman, Isabel Chapman-Holland, Prine Ratelif, Linda LaRosa, Nikki Johanson, Anna Prefontayne and Blanche Gibson.

They each sang “My White Knight,” and we were done.

The Harold tryouts included Jason Fiddler, Ron Greene, Mark Thomas, brothers Steve and Jeremy Williams plus John Mitchell. Very last minute, i decided to try out myself.

They first six each sang “The Sadder But Wiser Girl for Me.”

I got in the middle of the stage, after asking the pianist Janice to play ‘Ya Got Trouble!’

HAROLD:
Ladies and Gentlemen,
either you’re closing your eyes to a situation you do now wish to acknowledge; or you are not aware of the caliber of disaster indicated by the presence of a pool table in your community.

Well, Ya got trouble, my friend,
right here, I say, trouble
right here in River City.
Why sure I’m a billiard player,
Certainly mighty proud I say
I’m always mighty proud to say it.
I consider that the hours I spend
With a cue in my hand are golden.
Helps you cultivate horse sense
And a cool head and a keen eye.
Ever take and try to give
An iron-clad leave to yourself
From a three-rail billiard shot?

But just as I say,
It takes judgement, brains,
and maturity to score
In a balkline game,
I say that any boob kin take
And shove a ball in a pocket.
And they call that sloth.
The first big step on the road
To the depths of deg-ra-day—

I say, first,
medicinal wine from a teaspoon,
Then beer from a bottle.
An’ the next thing ya know,
Your son is playin’ for money
In a pinch-back suit.
And list’nin to some
big out-a-town Jasper
Hearin’ him tell about
horse-race gamblin’.
Not a wholesome trottin’ race, no!
But a race where they set
down right on the horse!
Like to see some stuck-up jockey’boy
Sittin’ on Dan Patch?
Make your blood boil?
Well, I should say.

Friends, lemme tell you what I mean.
Ya got one, two, three, four,
five, six pockets in a table.
Pockets that mark the diff’rence
Between a gentlemen and a bum,
With a capital “B,”
And that rhymes with “P”
and that stands for pool!

And all week long your River City
Youth’ll be frittern away,
I say your young men’ll be frittern!
Frittern away their noontime,
suppertime, choretime too!
