Chapter 6

Connor was suprised by her actions one minute she was kissing him the next she was avoiding him 'did he do any thing wrong' he asked himself well he was always slow in understanding the concept women and Nina wasn't an exception he concluded. Nina slowly walked into the room her heart was faced downwards and legs reluctant to move in his direction, " I would not be around most of day we are out of food so me and some my sisters are going hunting and fishing so will be back in the late evening" she informed him and turned to leave "wait" he said as Nina stopped in her tracks " can I come with you?" i asked "No" she replied " I mean you are still injured and am sure you don't know anything about about hunting" she continued that wasn't entirely true he had hunted with his father when he was little at least he knew to run or climb a tree at sight of danger if he is unarmed "I am all healed and you can teach me how to hunt "No Connor this island is dangerous and we 've already had a hunting casualty I don't want another one"she pressed he knew she was concerned but it wasn't concern he saw on her face " why are you avioding me Nina" he asked walking towards her "is it because of the kiss" he continued "fine you can come but at your own risk "Nina said storming out of the room he caught her in the arm and drew her into his arms and kissed her Nina melted into his arms she involuntarily leaned forward, threw both of her hands in the back of his head and deepened the kiss just as she seen the british do.Connor broke the kiss "you don't have to aviod me I too enjoyed that kiss" he said Nina didn't reply immediately but she lightened up " you know hunting is dangerous" Nina warned " I know but I want to come" he protested " "ok you can come but stay behind me always "she said reluctantly Connor was not used to being controlled by a woman but he didn't have a choice in this case "thank you" "but there is still one problem I have nothing to wear" he said

Nina went out of the hut and came back a while later with a bag giving it to him " here this was all we could salvage from your wrecked ship" she said he took the bag and opened it it contained some clothes but they weren't his it must have been one of his crew members he concluded, he checked the contents of the bag and discovered the were male clothes and could fit him perfectly so he took out a t shirt and trousers abduct wore them there was one more problem he had no footwear he still searching for a solution when he saw Nina come in again with a sandals made with animal skin and wood 'is she some kind of african fairy that make your wishes come true' he wondered 'but those are gonna be as uncomfortable as hell' he thought but he wasn't going to start an inanimate racism now he took the sandals and wore them apart from being heavy the were very comfortable he started towards the door when something hits him this people do not hunt with guns and knives but with wooden spears and clubs that was the level of technology here but he wasn't going to back down now so he left the room only to meet a small group of women waiting for him when she spotted Nina she came forward and ave him a wooden spear he spotted a light of amusement on her face "lets go" Nina said and don't bother talking to any them they do not speak english except my twin she said pointing at her he looked at her wow they were really identical except the the different hair braid style he can't differentiate between the two "Hi" he said to her but she just turned and followed who was already heading for the forest then he remembered she didn't want him here and she is not hiding it.
