Chapter 5

Well that's where it gets complicated... it was an alien. Inspired by the story Bait and Switch, this is the story of the Terra Warriors, six teens ready to put it all on the line to fight as the heroes of our planet, just like the ones they loved on Television.

Saitx passes a wand over Amy's naked body, covering her in a blue light.
"And that's all there is to it. Your scan is done. The information will display in a moment." Saitx says.
A screen pops up next to her and displays all of Amy's medical information in a few moments. It's in Saitx's language but she understands it.
"Height 5'2". Weight 123. Cup size B. No diseases. No Cancers. Not pregnant. Well that's good to know." Amy says.
Amy sits up on the table.
"So would you mind scanning me now that you've experienced how it is done?" Saitx asks.
Amy hops off the table and smiles.
"Sure. Lay down." Amy says.
Saitx lays down on the table and Amy takes the wand and waves it over Saitx's body a few times. Saitx's information comes up on the display.
"Height 5'0". Weight 100. Cup size B. No diseases. No Cancers ... And the baby is healthy." Saitx says.
Saitx's face went red as she blushed. She sits up as Joshua enters the room.
"Hello, Joshua. Our child is healthy." Saitx says.
"Good to hear, Saitx." Joshua says.
Though the two had only learned that Saitx was pregnant a short time ago, the awkwardness had risen between them.
"I wish you two would cut it out." Amy says as she sets down the wand and turns towards them.
"What do you mean?" Saitx asks.
"You two have barely talked since we found out that Saitx was pregnant." Amy says. "It's driving me nuts!"
"What should we say?" Saitx says.
Amy grabs her by the arm and leads her in hopping off the table and over to Joshua.
"Now fucking hug each other and say what you want to!" Amy commands.
Saitx looks down at the floor plating, but then her eyes widen as Joshua puts his arms around her waist.
"Saitx. I'm so happy for us. You're having my baby. You're making me a father. I couldn't be prouder." Joshua says softly.
She looks up into his eyes.
"But the visions. We will not end up together." Saitx says.
"Do the historical records show all of the visions of those with the ability coming true?" Joshua asks.
"No, the visions were not recorded. They are unable to be." Saitx says.
"Right. So don't worry about that. Besides, I doubt Amy's gonna let us slip apart even if She and I end up married." Joshua explains.
Saitx looks over at Amy for confirmation.
"Listen Saitx. Regardless of what may or may not happen in the future, I'm not gonna let you leave our group. I want you to be around us, even if Joshua and I end up married." Amy asks.
"So, I would be an exception to the promise the two of you make?" Saitx asks.
"Yes, and I hope that I would be the same if the situation were reversed." Amy says.
Saitx pulls away from Joshua, and walks over to Amy. Saitx kisses Amy passionately.
"Of course." Saitx says after the kiss.
"One more thing. I love that tongue of yours. It's so cool!" Amy says.
"I must be honest Amy. I want to know what it would be like to please you sexually." Saitx says.
"Are you offering to eat my pussy?" Amy asks.
"I believe that is what you call it." Saitx says.
"We'll get to that Saitx." Amy promises. "For now, let's let Joshua unwind from work."
"By the way, I cleared my time off with my boss, but had to convince him to do so." Joshua says.
"I'm betting you transformed to convince him." Amy says as she walks over to him.
"Had to." Joshua confesses.
Amy bounces up on her tip toes as she smacks Joshua on the top of the head lightly like an animal that had just taken a piss on the floor.
"Bad Josh-y. No using your powers for personal gain." Amy says playfully.
"Isn't that a contradiction though?" Joshua asks.
"Huh?" Amy says.
"When Zordon told the rangers the three rules, that one always bugged me. Just by using it to save their planet, they're doing it for a personal gain. Think about it. We heard that Rita was evil, that she wanted to take over the world, but never what she wanted to do with it after wards. In fact, she only caused an earth quake at first." Joshua points out.
"You're over thinking it, Hun." Amy says.
"Huh? Did you just call me "Hun"?" Joshua asks.
"Forget that! Listen. Zordon put the rules in place so that they didn't use their powers to bully or do evil things." Amy says. "We should have similar rules with our new abilities and technology."
"Well, Mr. Waterless needed the bullying." Joshua says.
"I'm sure he did. Just don't do it again." Amy says. "Now, did you get the reservations?" Amy asks.
"Yeah, but I really don't want to go there and eat now." Joshua says.
"Why not?" Amy asks.
"He might try to figure out who Saitx is, if she comes with us." Joshua points out.
"I will not be going with you. I cannot ingest human food as you do." Saitx says. "Especially during the gestation cycle."
"I was meaning to ask you about that. I never see you eat, or use a bathroom normally. I know you're basically equipped the same as a human, but little else." Amy says.
"My membrane uniform is set up the same for the rest of my species. I had to turn off the features for yours and Joshua's. The membrane uniforms provide enough supplement and disintegrate any waste from my body." Saitx explains.
"Interesting. So, Joshua, which costume did you use on him?" Amy asks.
"The last one without holes in it, but it was out of date." Joshua explains.
"What? Why didn't you use one of the team costumes I made?" Amy asks.
"I figured I shouldn't use those until we get into a battle again. The last thing we need is someone taking a video of me acting a little evil in one of our costumes." Joshua says.
"True. So what color are you going to be?" Amy asks.
"I'm not sure." Joshua says "And what's with the symbol on the suit?" Joshua asks. "It looks like the one for King Ranger's helmet from Ohranger." Joshua says.
"It's not. It's the Karim Symbol for energy, and the one on the Helmet is the Karim Symbol for Death on the Red one, Amplify for pink, Multiplicity for Blue, Acuity for Green, Infinity for Yellow and Lightness for White." Amy says.
"What the heck is a Karim Symbol?" Joshua asks.
"Oh, he's a designer. He wrote a book on the symbols. I found them on the internet and loved how they looked when I applied them to ranger-esk designs on a game I play called Second Life." Amy explains.
"Well, you're a lot more creative than me. But I think we shouldn't be using those symbols. I think we should use ones that are generic enough so that no one thinks we're being backed financially or morally by any person or company." Joshua explains.
"I see your point." Amy says.
A screen appears next to and her designs for the red costume come up. She wipes the symbols off of the costume and brings up a page loaded with different symbols.
"So what were you thinking? I brought a load of different symbols. Some of them I made myself, some are biblical, and some are historical." Amy explains.
"Well the helmets don't need symbols at all. The plain versions you've made are fine, and as for the chest of the costume, why not this one?" Joshua asks.
Joshua points to a symbol. The symbol is the Mayan symbol for manifest.
"Oh, Mayan symbol. It means to manifest, and it sort of fits our theme." Amy says.
"Okay, implement it. By the way, shift up the colors. I don't want anyone to confuse us with the power rangers or super Sentai teams." Joshua explains.
"So, what colors?" Amy says.
"I don't know, just make them different." Joshua sighs.
"We need to go and recruit the next member." Saitx says, as she holds her stomach.
"I don't think you should come with us, in your condition." Amy says to Saitx as she turns to look at her.
"I will be fine." Saitx says.
"Regardless. I'd be more comfortable if you stayed up here." Joshua says right before an alarm goes off.
"An alarm?" Amy says.
"The Torran Empire has sent a large squad of Cybots to the location of the next team member. They are trying to intercept us from recruiting them." Saitx says as she walks over to a console.
"How did they figure it out?" Amy asks.
"They may have been tracking the scans I've done of the planet, or they may just be attacking areas that have resisted before." Saitx says.
"Amy, we should get down there." Joshua says.
"But our costumes. I don't think I have any left that fit." Amy says.
"Saitx, link Amy's database to my own. She can use some of the female outfits I have made up. They might feel a bit tight but they'll have to do." Joshua says as he and Amy move away from the console.
Saitx hits a few buttons on the console where Joshua and Amy were standing. Amy feels a slight pain in the back of her head as does Joshua but the pain vanishes.
"Your databases are now linked." Saitx says.
"Why do you have so many female costumes?" Amy asks.
"I like making costumes, or rather I did." Joshua explains.
Amy closes her eyes, and her membrane uniform covers her completely before shifting her into a costume of the Pink Kyoryuger appears on her.
"Kyoryugers huh? This must be fairly new." She says.
"I made that one right before the convention that got us all together." Joshua says as his clothing shifts to that of Dragon Ranger from Zyuranger.
"Saitx, we'll be back!" Amy says before the two of them vanish in a glow of purple light.
On Earth, in the village that Joshua and Amy are heading to, the Cybots are attacking in force.
"Get those women and children to safety!" A man calls out.
The man is dressed in brown khakis, a white button up shirt, a black vest and black cowboy boots. His long black hair is pulled into a pony tail. The men around him are dressed in costume to look like Native Americans of old. They rush into the group of Cybots to attempt to free the captured women and children. A young woman is among them, trying to fight back. Her hair is shoulder length and black. She's about five feet six inches tall. Her hair is black and long. She's wearing a low cut shirt that seems to be a modern take on Native American clothing with a pair of brown sneakers. Joshua and Amy appear behind him.
"Oh fuck. There are a lot of them." Joshua says.
"We're gonna have to get those humans clear before we can short out the Cybots." Amy says.
"My men are already on it, you two." The man says without looking back at them.
"Who're you?" Joshua asks.
"I am the tribe chief for our village." The man says. "My guess is that you're the heroes from the TV who've been fighting these things. Can you stop them?"
"Yes." Joshua says.
"My children are among those trapped. I ask that you try to save them." The chief says.
"We'll do our best." Amy says before the two of them run in to fight off the Cybots.
Joshua does a hand spring into a back flip, into a tornado kick to push some of the Cybots away from a group of people. The young woman from before stands in awe of his fighting. He clears the Cybots away.
"Get to Safety now!" Joshua says.
"Fuck that! I'm gonna fight!" She says.
"It's too dangerous. You don't have protection like us! Trust me, get clear!" Joshua says.
He switches his glove to that of the membrane uniform and punches a Cybot, then kicks it back as hard as he can. The Cybot explodes. The young woman's eyes go wide. She turns and runs towards the chief.
((Joshua, the woman near you that is moving away. She is the bio sign I'm tracking.)) Saitx says to him mentally.
Joshua looks over at her.
((Her designation is Tamaya. Please recruit her after the two of you clear the Cybots.)) Saitx says telepathically.
((We're on it, Saitx.)) Joshua says telepathically.
"Joshua, I've cleared the others! We can use full force now!" Amy says.
"Good, swap your gloves and boots to the membrane uniform and activate the electrostatic strike mode. It'll cause them to overload like before." Joshua yells to her.
"Right." She says.
The two of them switch their hands and feet to the membrane uniform and begin fighting the Cybots again. Each strike causes a Cybot to overload and explode. Before long, the Cybots are cleared. Joshua and Amy revert to Civilian clothing and walk over to the Chief.
"I commend you two on behalf of my people." The chief says.
The young woman is behind him.
"To be honest sir, we had intended on coming here under more pleasant circumstances." Joshua explains.
"Oh really?" The chief says.
"First off, my name is Joshua Maximus. This is Amy. The reason why we were coming down here originally was to recruit one of your people to join us." Joshua explains.
"Oh really? One of my people would be more than happy to join your group. Which one did you want? I'm sure our warriors would make a nice addition to your group." The chief says.
"We're here for Tamaya." Joshua says.
"My ... daughter..." The chief says turning to look at her.
"What?" Tamaya asks.
"You faced off against a group of robots, known as Cybots, like the ones we just fought, during the initial attack on Earth." Joshua asks.
"And?" Tamaya asks.
"Okay, this might be hard to believe, but I was sent here by an alien to recruit you for a special team that is going to stop the aliens that sent the Cybots from taking over Earth." Joshua explains.
"That was a mouthful, huh? Did you rehearse that? Or was it just bullshit you pulled out of your ass? Either way, I can't say I don't believe what you say." Tamaya laughs.
"You believe me?" Joshua asks.
"Um ... duh?" Tamaya says.
"I thought that I'd have to say more, or show some proof." Joshua says.
"You're all over the fucking news, Power Ranger Boy, have you seen it?" Tamaya says.
"I am? I didn't know. I haven't had too much time off." Joshua says.
"You saved those people at the convention, and a cop. Then you outright asked the president for a meeting so you could brief him. The speculation is everywhere." Tamaya says.
"So will you join us?" Joshua asks.
"Well, maybe. There's a few things you'll have to do first. I like the idea of being able to stop the Cybots, and the aliens who sent them, but..." Tamaya says.
"But?" Joshua asks.
"Family is very important to me, my brother and father most of all. If you want me to join your little team, you'll get permission for me to join you from my father ... the Chief of my reservation." Tamaya says.
"Well chief, can I get permission?" Joshua asks turning back to him.
Tamaya shakes her head.
"You three, come with me. We will discuss this matter in private." The chief says.
He leads Joshua, Amy and Tamaya to a large building. She stops outside it, and turns to Joshua.
"Alright, here's the thing..." Tamaya sighs, " ... my father is very over protective. He's challenged every guy looking to hook up with me to go on a vision quest, which could kill them in order to date or whatever. If you can play by his terms, I'll be able to join the team." Tamaya explains quietly to Joshua as they trail a bit behind him.
"Alright. Tell me about it." Joshua says.
"Alright, well the vision quest will involve you going without food or much water for around four days. During the vision quest, if you're lucky, you'll see the spirits, and they'll tell you a bit about the road ahead. Or at least that's what I hear." Tamaya says.
"So you've never done this before." Joshua says.
"No." Tamaya says.
"But, if I am able to..." Joshua says.
"He always said that a man he can trust would be able to do this." Tamaya says.
"Alright. Let's get on with it." Joshua says.
The chief opens the door to the building and they all enter. They walk down a long hallway to an office door. The chief opens it, and the group steps inside. He sits down behind the desk, and motions for Joshua and Amy to sit in the chairs in front of it. Joshua can feel Tamaya's intimidation, and by the look of the man in front of him, he knows why. Even though her father is seated behind a desk, he's easily six and a half feet tall.
"I know of you. Your exploits, your fights, they're becoming big news." The chief says. "But why do you want my daughter."
"The alien who is supplying us with this technology chose out six of us who fought back during the initial attack and is now recruiting us into a team to fight back and stop these bad aliens." Joshua explains. "I'll do what it takes..."
"Daddy. I want to go with him. I want him to take the test." Tamaya says.
The Chief looks up his daughter and then back at Joshua.
"You?!? HA! You might be a brave kid, but you're hardly man enough for my little princess!" Her father laughs.
Joshua lowers his head, emulating all of his favorite manga heroes.
"You're wrong." Joshua says.
He almost expects the chief to come back with a 'Nandayo' which basically translates to a statement of disbelief.
