Chapter 9

Back in his office Monday morning, Ron was looking forward to what should be an interesting week. This past weekend was a bummer, mainly because of a lack of female companionship. All of his lady friends were unavailable for various reasons. He thought that he needed to do some better planning to avoid this happening again.

At about nine Tom gave a knock on Ron's door and he walked in with Beth.

"Ron, I think you remember Bethany Conway."

As she walked up to Ron, she extended her hand and said, "Please call me Beth. It's nice to see you again Ron, I hear we will be working together."

In shaking her hand Ron appraised her and thought not much had changed. She still was very attractive with her short dark hair. There was a little maturity in her face and maybe in her figure but she still had a figure with a small waist that most women would kill for. Her manner of dress had changed only a little since the skirt was still tight but wasn't as short as it was when she left the workforce for motherhood. The bottom of the skirt was about four inches above her knees now and showed some very nice legs in the high heeled shoes she was wearing.

"Yes, I understand we will be working together. We both will be looking for stocks or industries that are out of favor although we are concerned with different timelines. If you have signed your life away filling out the various forms with Human Resources why don't you settle into your office and I will come and get you in about an hour for coffee where we can talk more."

"Sounds good"

As she walked out of his office Ron couldn't help but appreciate her fine butt encased in that tight skirt. His eyes then caught Tom looking at him and Tom in knowing what Ron was looking at couldn't help but have a smile on his face. In a way Ron felt a little guilty that he was caught ogling Beth's fine ass.

In having coffee with Beth, Ron was impressed by her. It just wasn't her good looks which goes without saying, it was the presence she had when she talked to him. She just had a way about her that when she looked and talked to him, that captured his full attention. He just couldn't help but wonder as to what kind of a lover she was.

Ron didn't bring the topic of her being divorced up but Beth did, in fact it seemed to Ron that Beth wanted to talk about it and maybe vent some frustration.

"I assume you know I am divorced which is one but not the only reason I wanted to come back to work. My two kids, Michael who is nine, and Pamela who is eight, are in school and are old enough to where I could come back to work. My now ex-husband Gary just floored me one day when he said he was being transferred to Atlanta and that he wanted a divorce. When I tried to find out why although I sensed something hadn't been right for a while in our marriage, he said that he didn't love me anymore and thought we should end the marriage. He said there was nothing I could do to change his mind."

"In doing some investigating I later found out that his twenty two year old secretary who was said to be built like a brick shit house was also being transferred to Atlanta. Apparently it was well known at work that they had something going with each other. I guess it's true when they say the wife is the last to know."

"Beth, I don't know if that secretary is as good as you say she is but it is my opinion that your ex is stupid to lose you. That being said you might be better off in the long run without him."

"Thanks, it's nice for you to say that and something I will think about."

After coffee Beth said she was going to spend most of her time working with legal on preparing the prospectus for the new mutual fund.

The next morning Ron received a call from Jordon. She said that she had some productive discussions with the managing editor of the magazine who said he had discussed the matter involving Lee with his legal department. He said that they agreed that they wouldn't publish any topless or bottomless photos of Lee. They will publish only one photo of Lee wearing both parts of a red bikini and the editor had a courier deliver a copy of that picture to Jordon.

"I can't stop them from publishing that photo but in looking at this picture I can see that she is a very beautiful lady. Are you involved with her?"

"Jordon, just as I don't talk about the relationship I have with you to anyone I also don't talk about the relationship I have with Lee."

"Fair enough but you should also tell Lee that the editor says the person that sold them these photos swears that these are the only copies and the editor will delete and destroy all of the other photos that are on the SD card. I believe he will do that but if these are the only copies, I really don't know."

"Did he give you the information on who sold them the photos and will you give that to me?"

"Yes he did" and she gave him that information.

"If you are free for lunch today I can give you the photo they are going to publish."

"Same time and same place?"

"Of course."

Ending the call Ron knew he needed to phone Lee. He did and could hear the relief in her voice when he told her what Jordon had said. Ron relayed that Jordon couldn't stop them from publishing the picture of her in a bikini but that would be minor if any damage to Lee and would only confirm why she was one of the best looking CEO's in the nation.

She asked for the information on who took the photos which he gave her. Lee expressed a concern about these being the only copies. Ron told her what Jordon had said the managing editor said. Lee said sort of absently that this was something she would discuss with Peter Mariano. When asked who Peter was, she somewhat hesitantly replied that he was the father of one her college sorority sisters. Lee had met the father when she stood up to his daughter's wedding and he had become sort of a mentor to her. She said he always gave her good advice.

Lee thanked Ron and asked him to thank Jordon for resolving the matter. She was surprised that when she asked for the bill to be sent to her that Ron told her there was none as Jordon had handled this matter as a personal favor for him.

She remarked in a sexy voice that conveyed her sincerity in saying that she would really thank Ron when she saw him next which caused a stirring in his groin.

After ending the call he had some time before he was going to meet Jordon for lunch. He thought about what Lee had said about a Peter Mariano and there was something about that last name that was familiar. He googled the name and came up with a number of hits. In going through the names they ranged from physicians to teachers to a reputed crime family boss. He gave up on his efforts and headed over to the hotel.

To say that these lunches with Jordon were good was a gross understatement. They were great in being with this beautiful woman making love. Just holding Jordon in his arms and kissing her with her naked body pressing against his naked body was exciting. When they made love she knew how to press all the right buttons which had him wanting to make it last as long as he could.

Cuddling afterwards he said, "That as usual was great, you are one very exciting woman. Now don't take this the wrong way, but at one time you indicated you could arrange for me to meet some women. I am going to be free this weekend and I was hoping I could take you up on your offer if that is alright with you."
