Nell's Kitchen
Chapter 4
Romance Sex Story: Chapter 4 - Paul spent years running the restaurant his parents left behind. Nell’s is his work, his family and most of his life. But lately, the people closest to him have been making life a lot more complicated. With Halloween approaching, Paul discovers that some things are a lot harder to manage than a kitchen.

“No! Absolutely not!”
“Oh yes mister. Take it off right now.”
“My cooking is the star in this kitchen. I don’t care how many thumbs up thingies I get or pokes or whatever you people think is success. I am not defiling my art for some stupid algo ... whatever that is.”
“Paul! Why don’t you try something different for a change? Leah knows what she’s talking about. She has over three million followers on her Insta account. Do you even know what that means?”
“That still doesn’t mean I need to do a strip tease to showcase my cooking! I mean. Come on Rae.”
“You better do what she says or I’m going to come there with a pair of scissors and cut your chef’s robe off you.”
“You wouldn’t dare!”
“Watch me.”
Paul stared at Rae, his jaw tight, debating whether she was bluffing. Judging by her stare, he realized she wasn’t.
With a sigh, he surrendered. “Okay fine. Leah, what do you want me to do?”
“The chef’s jacket comes off.”
“That’s ridiculous. I’m cooking. What if I get hurt?”
“You’re making custard, Paul. You’re not going to get hurt. Jacket off mister.”
Paul looked around and then protested. “My staff is in the kitchen. I don’t want to embarrass them.”
Leah looked around and found Priya and two other lady prep chefs. “Do you ladies mind if Paul takes off his chef’s jacket?”
“Hell, no!” Priya said emphatically, fanning herself. “We’ve been waiting for this since forever. Come on Paul!”
Paul glared at Priya. “Traitor!”
He grumbled loudly while he yanked his coat over his head and tossed it onto the prep counter. “This is ridiculous I tell you. I’m the head chef of a Michelin-starred restaurant, not a Magic Mike.”
He looked around to see if anyone was laughing. Instead he found that the ladies were looking at him with their mouths open. Underneath he had only worn a tiny sleeveless undershirt that clung tightly to his shoulders.
Priya fanned herself harder. Leah was biting her lip while Rae just stared.
“Oh wow, babe,” Rae whispered to Leah. “This is what we need!”
“Really? Is this ok or should I lose my pants as well?” Paul joked.
“Oh yes!” Priya shouted out before she closed her mouth with her hand.
Paul looked around disbelievingly. “Stop acting like a pack of wolves. All of you! This is a restaurant. Not a Chippendale’s ... umm whatever that place is called.”
“We’re just appreciating the merchandise, Chef,” Leah purred.
Paul cleared his throat and blushed. When he saw that no one was making fun of him, he pulled his shoulders back a fraction and held his chin up. Perhaps there was an upside to this kind of nonsense.
“Alright, fine,” he said. “Let’s do this reel thing quickly. I’m feeling cold.”
“Oh don’t worry, honey,” Leah grinned. “You’re going to be cooking up a whole lot of things like this.”
“Okay fine. But I draw the line at costumes, okay?”
“Your objection has been noted. And denied. You’ll do whatever Leah tells you to. Understand?”
Paul groaned.
Although Paul protested a lot at first, he couldn’t deny how Leah’s marketing had helped Nell’s. Her ridiculous videos and reels had caused the restaurant to become wildly popular. He didn’t really understand how those videos helped, but he found it heartening that the restaurant and their staff were getting their due.
Leah had made many behind-the-scenes videos that allowed his staff to get the recognition they deserved. People stopped Priya, Marco, Bert and others on the street now. He saw how excited they got when people stopped them and took selfies with them. Paul shook his head in wonder. Who knew this social media thing could be good for staff morale?
Plus, the results were undeniable. Reservations were fully booked for a whole week. For lunch and dinner. This had never happened before. There were more people dropping in, hoping to get a table and spy on the latest internet sensations.
Even Paul had to admit that Leah was doing something right. Rae was delighted with the results. Paul noticed how Rae and Leah sat together constantly, jabbering excitedly about some new digital strategy.
Paul smiled when he thought about the number of beautiful women that talked to him now. Apparently, his videos were a hit. That’s what Leah said. He enjoyed the attention. Hell, if he’d known that cooking without his chef’s jacket helped this much he’d have started doing it ages back. He smirked when he remembered how the men gave him impressed glances and the women stared this week. These days, he secretly waited for Rae or Leah to tell him to take off his jacket for the videos and didn’t bother to put it back on when they were done.
Then he frowned. It’s a pity that he couldn’t get a date with any of them though. All they seemed to be interested in was taking selfies with him. They never seemed to leave a number or get any further with him. Surely one of them wanted to do more than take a selfie or gush about him. It had been a while since he last went on a date. Still, he was happy that Leah and Rae were always around.
He shook his head wonderingly. For almost two years Chris, Dana and he could not get these two to sit without bickering with each other. Suddenly, they had become best buddies. He smiled when he saw his two favorite girls getting along with each other. That’s how family should be. He turned back to the prep work he was working on. Maybe working without a Chef’s jacket wasn’t too bad. It definitely helped manage the heat in the kitchen better.
Leah walked through the swing doors, clutching her tablet triumphantly. “Rae, babe. Look at these numbers. These are even better than we hoped for.”
Paul looked up trying to look uninterested. “Did we get a lot of subscribes? Umm ... not that I know anything about that.”
Rae walked over and tapped on something on the tablet. She whistled. “Holy crap! This is insane, babe. You were right!”
Paul was bursting to know what they were talking about. Yet he tried to remain nonchalant. He looked at both girls hoping that they would drop a hint about what they were talking about. Rae nudged Leah when the two of them saw Paul look up hopefully often.
“Paul, don’t you want to see the numbers? I think you’ll like what you see.”
“Oh, whatever. You guys are handling the social stuff. I don’t really care.”
“Really? So you don’t want to know what we’re excited about?”
“Me? Personally, I don’t really care. But you know, if it makes you happy, sure. Show me.”
The girls giggled and exchanged a look before they headed over to Paul.
“So Paul, you know you don’t have to keep your chef’s jacket off when we’re not shooting you know?” Leah teased.
“Oh that thing? I completely forgot about it, you know? I don’t really mind. It helps me manage the heat better.”
“Didn’t you complain that you felt cold without it?”
“Oh yeah. That was before. I’m getting used to it now.”
“And it’s not because Priya and the other staff keep staring at you, right?”
“Well if it helps morale, who am I to argue with the results? Do you want me to put it back on?”
“No,” both girls blurted out together.
Paul smirked. “Looks like Priya and the other ladies are not the only ones that like to see me without my jacket on.”
He looked over at Leah’s tablet as he chuckled about making the two women blush. “So what am I looking at here? I don’t understand all these numbers. What’s an impression?”
“You’re looking at a masterclass in digital marketing, Chef,” Leah beamed.
Rae nodded admiringly. “She really knows her stuff. You won’t believe how much of an impact she’s had on the restaurant in just one week.”
Paul agreed, “You’re pretty amazing, Leah. I knew you were good, but I never thought you could pick up the business so quickly. You’re not just beautiful you know. You’re really smart too.”
Leah bit her lip as tears welled in her eyes. Rae nudged her playfully and then gave her a hug. “Isn’t Leah the best?”
“She really is. No wonder she has three million followers.”
“You remembered!” gasped Leah.
Paul made a face. “Of course I do. You people have mentioned it a million times this week.”
He laughed when Leah slapped his arm gently.
Then Leah snatched the tablet back from him. “Paul. You need to check this out! You’ll never guess who the newest social media star is by the way.”
Paul looked at her tablet interested. Leah swiped to a new tab and played a video.
On screen, Rae appeared in her sleek teal wrap dress. The video just showed her walking the dining room at Nell’s showing her sleek legs with some music playing in the background. The video followed her around the restaurant capturing the way her deep neckline framed her considerable assets when she bent over to review a ledger. She looked sophisticated and jaw-droppingly attractive.
Paul wasn’t so impressed. “She’s just walking around. What’s the big deal?”
“What’s the big deal? You know that this has almost a million views right?”
“Really? Just for walking around? That’s weird.”
“It’s not even the most popular video we have though.”
“I should think so. Marco’s demonstration on how to fillet a fish was outstanding. Is that the most popular video?”
“What? No.” Leah said. With a quick tap she brought up the video of him making the custard without his chef’s jacket on. “Check out the comments on this video, Paul. You’re a star!”
“Really? I thought the fish video would have been more interesting. I’m just making a custard here.”
“Well the comments say otherwise,” Leah grinned as she scrolled down to show the comments.
Paul squinted at the screen as he read the comments. He gasped. They were wildly colorful, ranging from sweet compliments, to explicit requests for him to grate cheese over various parts of his anatomy.
Paul choked on his own spit when he read an especially inappropriate comment.
“Delete this. Delete this right now! Who are these heathens? This is a culinary page! Not a toilet wall in a strip club!”
“Too late, babe,” Leah laughed brightly with Rae. “The algorithm loves a thirsty crowd. You set the precedent now, Chef. You’re the new Cedrik Lorenzen. Deal with it.”
Before Paul could think of an appropriately grumpy response, the kitchen door swung open with a loud rattle.
“Hey, Paul! Why is no one working at the ... whoa! Whoa, Whoa, Whoa!”
Chris froze in his tracks. He blinked hard, staring at Paul standing in the middle of the kitchen wearing just a tiny undershirt instead of his chef’s jacket.
“What the hell man? Why aren’t you in your jacket?” Chris blurted out. “Is there a fire? Did we change the uniform code or something? What is happening?”
Paul’s face went crimson in a second. He opened his mouth and then closed it. The rest of the kitchen staff were struggling to contain their laughter. Rae and Leah openly burst out laughing, delighted by Chris and Paul’s reaction.
Paul lunged backwards, grabbed his chef’s robe and pulled it on as fast as he could.
From the far corner, Priya and the other ladies groaned with disappointment. One of the dishwashers glared at Chris with genuine resentment.
“I’m not going. I don’t have time to go shopping. Plus, you can’t walk into my restaurant and order me to join you, babe.” Rae protested.
“I can.” Leah smiled sweetly. “And Paul has already said yes.”
Rae turned towards Paul and glared at him. “Traitor!”
Paul shook his head. “Rae. You haven’t taken a day off in weeks. You need this. Didn’t you tell me once that Leah had an amazing taste in clothes? She’s offering to get you some.”
“Hey! That was meant to be a private conversation.”
Leah smiled, “So you think I have good taste in clothes.”
Rae shrugged. “That’s no secret. You dress amazingly well.”
Leah pouted. “Hey! I was hoping to tease you for longer about that.”
Rae crossed her arms. “I can’t go. There’s a supplier issue I need to handle.”
Paul looked up. “Is that about cinnamon? I already took care of it. I got a message from Sophie that she’d take care of it.”
“Sophie Devereau?”
“Yeah. That’s her.”
“I really want to meet her,” Rae gushed. “She’s a rockstar. She never lets us down, you know.”
“Yeah. Well she mentioned she’s moved back to the city. She said she’ll drop in next week.”
“Awesome. I want to give her a big hug.”
“Great. So go! You have no reason to be here.”
Leah slipped her arm through Rae’s and tugged on her. “Come on, babe. Dana’s waiting.”
“I hate all of you!” Rae protested.
“I love you too, Rae,” Paul called out after her.
Rae faltered for one second. Leah noticed. For a fraction of a second she felt a twinge of jealousy. Then she shook her head. Compersion was a difficult thing to practice.
“Rae, come out! I want to see what you look like.”
“No way! I’m not coming out wearing this. This dress is indecent!”
Dana glanced up from her phone looking bored. “Oh for God’s sake! Can you please pick one already? You two are ridiculous!”
“Shopping takes time, Dana. You should know that.”
“God! Now I know why Chris never likes to come clothes shopping with me. You two are the worst!”
Leah rolled her eyes at Dana’s comment. “You remember how long you took to choose your wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses, don’t you?”
“Yeah! But that was for my wedding! That doesn’t count.”
“Of course that counts. Mom fell asleep waiting for you to choose your dress.” Leah turned towards the changing room door. “Rae, come out babe. Trust me.”
“I can’t! It’s too revealing. My boobs are literally bursting out.”
Leah thought for a moment and then smiled. “Well ... you know Paul would like it.”
She smiled when the door opened immediately. Dana snorted. “Finally! You should have led with that.”
“Oh shut up!” Rae snapped at the sisters as she stepped out of the changing room.
Neither woman heard her. They were too busy staring at Rae.
Dana whistled appreciatively. “Holy crap, Rae. You look ... wow. Just ... wow! Why the fuck don’t you dress like this more often?”
“She’d probably cause a lot of traffic accidents if she did,” Leah mumbled, unable to take her eyes off Rae.
The dress was a deep sapphire blue. It looked sophisticated enough for Rae to wear it to an important event while ensuring that everyone’s eyes would be glued to her for the entire time.
“Damn, girl. Why the hell have you been hiding that figure for so many years?” Dana said, checking out Rae.
“Oh stop it. You’re just being nice.”
“If I had breasts like yours, I think I would walk around topless all the time,” Dana murmured.
Leah and Rae giggled.
“So I guess you’re giving me a good score on your babe rating scale, huh?”
Dana blushed. “Why do I even bother with you two!”
Rae turned towards the three-pane mirror and studied herself. She tugged once at the hem and adjusted the neckline before looking at herself again.
Leah watched her expression change. “You like it! Wait. Try this.”
Before Rae could answer, Leah gathered Rae’s hair and lifted it away from her shoulders, letting it drop down her back. She adjusted one side of the neckline and smoothed her dress.
“There.”
Rae looked at herself again. Nobody spoke for several seconds.
“Thank you, Leah. That is much better.”
Leah felt happy. A couple of weeks back, she would have hated Rae looking so beautiful. Instead she thought about how happy Paul would be to see Rae looking so radiant. He would stare at her bust and then her legs. “Paul’s going to lose his mind seeing you like this. Fuck! I am losing my mind seeing you this way.”
“I knew you liked girls, Leah.” Dana interrupted. “But even if you didn’t, damn! Rae, you could turn a nun into a lesbian looking like that.”
