Chapter 5
Erotica Sex Story: Chapter 5 - When you first got to know Dan, you would think he was that cool, ‘already-made-it-in-life’ kind of guy. He was very chill and projected an image that he was loaded, and everything he did was just for fun. His social media feed was the standard ‘made-it-in-life’ package. By that, I meant pictures of him leaning against his BMW, hands in his pockets, attached with some cringeworthy quote. But it was all fake.

When my in-laws came back that evening with their shopping stuff, everyone gathered around the dining table.
James: How was the trip, Pa? Keng: Not bad ... the durian is good ... Come and try...
Dan was there too; however, he avoided eye contact and chose to continue playing a game on his phone while he ate the snacks that Keng had brought back. Suzy was talking to Lisa near the kitchen and, from her body language, I could tell she was complaining about something - probably about Dan.
I waited until I had a chance to speak to Suzy alone, then I approached her and initiated some small talk with my sister-in-law.
James: Hey Sis ... Suzy: Hey James ... James: Did you try the Durian? Quite good eh? Suzy: I did. I ate three pieces. Enough already, I’m afraid more will make my body too hot. James: With durian you must eat just enough then it won’t affect your body. Suzy: Haha ... yeah, right ... Oh, how’s your new place coming along? James: It’s almost done, I think. The Facebook group for residents says the contractors are removing the hoardings. Some are saying they got letters for key collection end of next month. Suzy: Wow, that’s great! So nice ... to have your own place and all...
I could see her subtle look of envy when talking about Lisa and my four-room flat. It was not much, but it was something many young couples looked forward to - a love nest of their own.
James: Dan and you can apply also. Choose the same neighbourhood and town near to us.
I could tell Suzy wanted to say something but she held back. She smiled and continued making her tea. She put the tea leaves into the glass teapot, and I felt a strange stir of arousal when she turned and walked towards the water dispenser. Her skirt spun with a twirl, stopping at her knees and covering everything that needed to be covered, but still, my senses were stirred.
Suzy: If Dan were half as level-headed as you, I would think I had won the lottery.
Dan happened to come into the kitchen just then, his eyes still plastered on his phone. His fingers were vigorously tapping away.
Dan: Dear, pour me a glass of water, quick! I’m on the leaderboard already! I’m going to be the top of the table! ARGHHHH! HAHAHA! Triple kill!
Without a word, Suzy stopped the hot water going into the teapot and poured Dan his glass of water. Dan did not even thank Suzy, he just gulped down the water, left the glass on the table and walked away. Suzy resumed her tea making while I brought out the glasses for the rest of the family. I rinsed them out while I continued to make small talk.
James: I think a family holiday is a good idea. We should work towards that. Maybe plan something, take Pa and Ma out.
Suzy’s eyes immediately lit up at the mention of a holiday. It had been a while since she travelled.
Suzy: I haven’t gone anywhere since Covid ... Not like Lisa and you ... so nice to be able to fly and go for holiday. James: We fly to Bangkok, Penang, places nearby only. Need to save up for the house. Suzy: Well, beats getting stuck at home...
I saw my sister-in-law shooting a look of disdain towards Dan when she said that, but she quickly recovered.
James: Is Dan still going ahead with his perfume business?
Suzy put on the cover of the teapot and sighed.
Suzy: Well, he’s very confident about the whole thing. He registered a company, made himself a director, printed name cards, and is now looking for a place to rent to setup his perfume workshop.
James: Wow ... he must be putting in quite a bit of capital ... Suzy: I don’t know ... I don’t want to get involved...
As my sister-in-law walked away with the tea, I could tell she was not interested in talking about Dan and his business. Except for Dan, the family settled around the dining table for tea and snacks. He chose to lie down on the sofa and play his game, but that didn’t mean he was not part of the conversation we had going. Every once in a while, he would shout out what he thought, letting everyone know that he might be physically away but he was still listening.
Lisa: Pa, Ma, I’m really considering the family holiday next year. Maybe we can do it for your seventy-fifth birthday or something. Suzy: That’s a good idea ... We can celebrate overseas. Wen: But where are we going to go? Will you all be able to take leave together or not. Pa and I we can go any time. It’s young people like you all need to apply for leave and everything. Lisa: Ohhh, we will figure something out. We just need to firm up the dates and destination ... Dear, what do you think?
I poured tea for everyone and agreed.
James: Good idea ... I mean, we can always take a tour if we don’t want to plan anything ... Let them take care of everything from flight to transfers and ... Dan: NO WAY! CRAZY IDEA!
Dan sat up from the sofa, his eyes still glued to his phone, and continued speaking in a loud voice.
Dan: IF YOU TAKE A TOUR, THEY WILL SURELY BRING YOU TO THOSE SHOPPING PLACES TO PERSUADE YOU TO BUY CRYSTAL, BUY HERBS, BUY DIAMONDS AND SHIT! WE SHOULD PLAN OUR OWN HOLIDAY. THAT TIME WE WENT TO EUROPE, WE PLANNED EVERYTHING OURSELVES.
