Poppy stayed behind to have another argument with Miss Evans. Lily and I headed off to get our lunch, with plans to meet Alice in the dinner hall.
“If it makes you feel any better,” Lily started, and I just knew she was fucking with me from the off. “I told Miss Evans that two weeks detention would be better, but she said one is enough, and you are definitely getting spanked.”
“I might like that part,” I said, sighing. “Poppy took me down with the ship, all because those two are back at war.”
“What’s their deal? The emotions in that room were freaking me out and turning me on.”
“I don’t know. It’s weird. The rest of us in that class are 90% students and 10% witnesses to their future crimes.”
“She was on your contract.”
“Who? Poppy? I know.”
“No,” Lily said, laughing. “Miss Evans. I can see why. She’s pretty hot, strict and angry all the time. I bet she’s a wild ride for anyone who can get that pencil skirt off her.”
I laughed. “I’m not talking about that anymore. The contract is gone.”
“Boring,” Lily said. Alice was waving at us as we made our way into the dinner hall, and we joined her at a table in the corner of the room.
I was nervous again, and she was blushing at me from across the table. “How was psychology?” I asked, trying to start a conversation.
“Do you want to have sex tonight?” Alice asked, quickly ending my topic, and turbo charging my dick.
“Really?” I said, spluttering a response while the succubus beside me lit up in delight.
“Yeah. I want to do it again,” Alice said.
“Well, yeah, of course. You can come over. That would be cool,” I mumbled. Alice was biting her bottom lip and scrunching up her face at me. “I do have a detention though.”
“With who?”
“Miss Evans.”
“Poppy?” Alice asked, and I nodded. “‘I will just come over later then. I want to do it again.”
I nervously smiled and she laughed. “I want to do it again too,” I said. We were in a blushing competition. I couldn’t believe how blunt she had been about what she wanted. I couldn’t wait to get back home now. The detention was even more tragic now than it had been before.
“You can come back with me and we can wait for him if you don’t want to waste time going home first,” Lily said.
“Aren’t you coming to detention?” I asked her.
“I didn’t get detention. Why would I choose to go?”
“Because you follow me everywhere else.”
“Well, you’re not my only friend anymore. I’m hanging out with Alice.”
“Yeah, she’s hanging out with me,” Alice said.
“I also need to have sex tonight,” Lily mused, fluttering her eyelashes at both of us, but mostly Alice. She was looking for permission. “Pretty please?”
“That’s fine. It’s already agreed that we’re sharing him,” Alice said, talking about me as if I wasn’t there. I didn’t mind it. I was glad to be their sex toy. It was my dream job.
“Same time sharing, or just sharing?” Lily teased, and for a second this newfound confidence across the table faltered. Alice bit down on her tongue, trapping it between her teeth.
“Same time, if you want,” Alice whispered, her cheeks the rosiest red they had ever been. My dick was rock hard. “I don’t mind.”
Lily patted me firmly on the back. “Hope you’re ready for your first threesome, big guy.”
I wasn’t. I spent the next couple of minutes in a daze, trying to prepare myself. Alice stroked my leg with hers under the table, comforting me in my time of need.
“Are you listening?” Lily said, nudging me out of my meditation.
“What?” I asked.
“I was talking about something we discovered at the party the other night,” Lily said. “Are we telling her?” she asked, nodding her head towards Alice.
“What thing?”
Lily sighed. “The protective shroud sort of thing. I can still feel it here, you know?”
Oh, the secret demon. “Yeah,” I said, looking over at Alice. She was smiling giddily. She was desperate for the gossip. “I don’t want there to be any secrets between us. Tell her.”
“Someone at that party and in this school is some kind of demon,” Lily said. Alice’s jaw dropped.
“Really? What? Who?” Alice said.
“We don’t know but they were at the party the other night. It doesn’t seem like it’s related to everything going on with Lily, so we can probably just ignore it,” I said.
“I just wanted to confirm that I can tell they’re here, so it was definitely someone from this school,” Lily said.
“What the hell?” Alice said, or asked.
“It’s a bit crazy but it’s not like we don’t know there are demons out there,” I said, trying to make it seem like less of a big deal than it probably was.
“Everything was so normal a few days ago,” Alice said.
“Tell me about it,” I muttered.
“And look how much happier you both are now,” Lily said. “They might not give me a medal for it but I am a hero. I saved you both from a lifetime of being in the mutual friendzone.”
“I wasn’t even complaining. You just assume so you can congratulate yourself,” I moaned. Lily was laughing. She was doing it deliberately. I needed to stop falling for it.
Alice and Lily went up to get their food. I gave Lily my dinner card so she could feed herself. She hadn’t been provided with one of her own yet. I suppose she could pull her magic to get this for free as well, but we didn’t want to overuse her gifts, especially for chips and fish fingers and the occasional flapjack. I filled a plate of my own after they returned.
“Are we telling everyone about us?” I asked. Grace and Poppy had made their way in and would be with us sooner rather than later. “I have had enough secrets for a lifetime and that was only one weekend. It would be nice to tell them.”
“Tell them what?” Alice asked. She was teasing me too, learning from the best.
“About us,” I said firmly.
“What are we?” she asked.
“Do I need to ask you to be my girlfriend?”
“You can ask and I will say no until you take me out on a date.”
My shoulders dropped and the two of them laughed. “Seriously?” I asked.
“You don’t want to take me on a date?” Alice asked, feigning heartbreak.
“I guess we’re going on a date then.”
“Can I come?” Lily asked, and they laughed again.
“Are we telling them about you?” I asked the succubus. “I am pretty sick of secrets, and they will keep this one if we trust them with it. They’re our best friends. We don’t need to tell them everything about the soul promise. Half secrets are fine, not full ones.”
“I would prefer not to lie to them,” Alice added.
“It’s up to you. I don’t think it needs to be a secret,” Lily said. “I would have told them at the party if you let me.”
That was decided easily enough. The girls joined us before too long. Mason wasn’t far behind. He sat next to Grace. They never did that. Maybe they really did kiss. “Did you two kiss at Elira’s party?” Alice asked suddenly. I guess it wasn’t going to be a secret for long.
“Did you two skip kissing and just do the deed instead?” Grace responded. She wasn’t on the defensive, instead sounding like she was just having fun.
“We kissed first,” Alice answered.
“No chance you hooked up,” Mason said. He looked right at me. He didn’t want to lose that race to me. I had to put him out of his misery.
“It’s true,” I said smugly. He looked pained by my words.
“Well, yeah, we kissed,” Grace said.
“You two were both glowing so it was obvious something happened,” Poppy said, talking to her girlfriends. She turned to focus her attention on Alice next. “I didn’t expect you to say you went the whole way, but that’s the sort of tea I like to hear to start my week.”
