Chapter 4: Part 5/6

We were moved from one conference room to another. This one had some more furnishings, and an office attached. The office door was open, with a few demons milling around inside. Tim sat us down on one side of the conference table, and we waited for the low humming of voices to end, and the elders to come out and join us.

The first to appear was stunning. She would be about average height, if she was human, and she had long blonde hair. Her horns were short and stubby, and her wings were nowhere to be seen. She was wearing a smart pantsuit, a bright cobalt blue in colour, and a white blouse. Her trousers were cuffed at the ankles. She had gentle features, and a soft, feminine appeal. She was smiling as she walked to greet us, and introduced herself as Serena.

The second succubus was tall, comfortably over six feet. She had a harsher expression on her face. She wasn’t as naturally pretty as her blonde colleague, her features were sharper, but she was attractive in her own way. It started with her figure, which was long and full of curves. She wore a form fitting sheath dress that was knee length and as black as her long, wavy hair. She also had no wings to show off, and her horns were crescent shaped, and maybe a foot long. Her name was Meredith.

Last to arrive was an incubus. He was the tallest male I had seen yet, even bigger than the one who arrived to reclaim Lily, but ended up with Alice. He was almost human in presentation, with no wings, horns or tail to admire. Only Serena had her tail swishing around behind her. The incubus was called Malachorio. He was in a full tuxedo, and had a bald head.

The three of them sat down on the opposite side of the table, before ushering Tim out of the room.

“Well, this is unusual,” Serena said, placing her hands down on the glass in front of her. “One is uncommon, two is unprecedented. Very rarely do we find someone who has come here by choice. Humans tend to avoid jumping into fire. Not the smartest idea.”

“One of you stole my friend. I didn’t really have a choice. Lily and I came here to save her,” I said. My tone was combative. I didn’t know if they were friendly.

“Your friend was never in any danger,” Serena said. She looked at Alice. “Did you feel in danger?”

“When the guy grabbed me, yes. When I was burning, definitely. After we got here, it got explained to me pretty quickly and since then things have just been a bit weird and stressful because you couldn’t actually prove you were going to send me back,” Alice answered honestly.
