Taken Care Of
It was already daytime when the Emirates A380 cut through the air over the Indian Ocean. Guinevere Martin hadn’t slept for hours. She was slumped in first-class, legs stretched out, wearing the tiniest denim cut-offs and a thin white tank top that kept riding up. Every time she breathed, the bottom of her tits spilled out a little.
At forty she still turned heads. Long blonde hair, bright blue eyes, face that had aged better than most. She hated how people still said she looked better now than at twenty-two.
She scrolled through her iPad, going back twenty years. God, 2006. That turquoise bikini shot - walking out of the water, hair dripping. She looked fucking incredible back then. Untouchable.
Now? At forty, still blonde, body still tight from two months of brutal training - six days a week, no excuses. Her face hadn’t aged half as badly as she’d thought it would, just good genes, good skincare and discipline. But her phone barely rang anymore. The girls in castings were half her age. Her follower count had plateaued and she was tired. The money was still flowing, though. Smart investments over twenty years had kept her comfortable.
Then the email came out of nowhere.
GUINEVERE OWNED - Twelve shoots over six months. Half a million dollars each, plus another twenty-five to forty million on top from the limited-edition art sales.
The contract was one hundred and sixty-seven pages of legalese. She read it three times, skimming the fine print. The deposit cleared without a single problem, and she was on a plane back to the Maldives. The place that still felt like home even though it had been twenty years now.
Owned. She didn’t like the sound of it. She hated it in fact - how small it made her feel. Like the old Guinevere, who used to own the whole world, had just been turned into some very expensive object.
The flight attendant stopped by. ‘Ms. Martin? Descent into Malé in about thirty minutes.’ She fixed her makeup, changed into the white linen dress that always made her look photogenic, and she tried not to think too much about what was awaiting her over the next months.
Malé International Airport The warm, humid air hit her the second she stepped off the jet bridge, reminding her of fond and crazy times spent under the tropics years back.
She cleared immigration fast - visa already sorted. But at baggage claim, only one of her two suitcases came around on the belt. She waited and watched the belt go around twice but nothing showed up.
Then a young airline guy approached her. ‘Ms. Martin? Sorry about your other suitcase. The connection in Dubai didn’t make it. We’re tracking it now. It should be on the next flight. We’ll have it delivered straight to your resort, free of charge, of course.’ Guinevere frowned. Half her shit - clothes, underwear, toiletries - was in that bag. ‘How long do you think ‘should be’ is?’ ‘A few hours, typically,’ he said, already typing on his phone. ‘We’ll call ahead so it’s not a problem for you.’ She pushed the cart with the one bag through customs into arrivals, feeling small and annoyed. Bags get delayed. It happens.
At arrivals a man and a woman stood holding a sign: GUINEVERE MARTIN – OWNED.
She felt a gross little twist hit her stomach. She hated it. It made her feel small, like a world-famous supermodel had just been reduced to expensive luggage.
The man was in his late forties, fit, gray hair cut close, khaki pants and black polo. Ex-military vibe. The woman - early fifties, white linen suit, silver bob, sunglasses pushed up on her head. Both smiled warmly.
‘Ms. Martin!’ the woman said. ‘Diane Chen, Project Director. This is Marcus Webb - he handles logistics.’ Guinevere shook their hands. ‘Thank you. Excited to be here. After like twenty years.’ She hesitated. ‘Small hiccup - one of my bags didn’t make it. They say it’ll be here before dinner.’ Diane’s smile didn’t change. ‘Oh, don’t worry about that one bit. We’ll have Marcus follow up. You’re in excellent hands.’ She glanced at Marcus, already tapping his phone. ‘You should have it at the resort before dinner. Please, just relax and enjoy the crossing.’ They stepped out into the blazing sun. A black SUV waited, windows tinted dark. Marcus took the remaining bag. Diane held the door for her.
Inside the SUV, it was cool and quiet. Diane sat beside her. Cold towels and chilled Perrier waited on the side table.
‘Help yourself,’ Diane said. ‘Fifteen minutes to the dock. We’ll go over the schedule once we’re there.’ Guinevere pressed the towel to her face and neck, relieved but still pissed about the missing bag. It contained her normal clothes, her underwear, most of her shoes, her toiletries. Now she was flying around in just the linen dress and whatever the hell the project had left her.
All she had left was one large rolling suitcase and her regular handbag. The suitcase barely had any clothes in it - mostly her laptop, some documents, a couple of magazines, a small bag with basic makeup and jewelry, and a pair of black high heels. Everything she could actually wear was gone. Or rather, delayed. And the longer it took, the smaller she felt.
‘Don’t stress,’ Diane said again, catching her expression. ‘We’ll take care of everything.’ Diane pointed things out as they drove - new buildings, a bigger marina, more tourists. But the turquoise water and palm trees still looked exactly like she remembered - straight out of a postcard.
‘You remember Velassaru?’ ‘Of course,’ Guinevere said. ‘That’s where we’re headed?’ ‘Yes. Same resort, same beach, same pier you walked out of the water on. The collector wants it recreated exactly.’ Something lifted in her chest despite the nagging worry. This was going to work. Ten million dollars over six months. Proof that forty wasn’t the end of anything.
The Crossing The speedboat was sleek and quiet. Guinevere sat in the shade while Marcus drove. Diane went through papers on her tablet.
‘So,’ she said over the engine noise, ‘what’s the timeline? When do we shoot?’ ‘Tomorrow morning. Golden hour, same as the original. We’ll do fittings and a briefing this afternoon once you’re settled.’ ‘Fittings?’ ‘All twelve wardrobes are with us. Every location has its own outfit, plus extras. You’re in incredible shape, but we still need measurements.’ Guinevere nodded. It made sense.
‘Extra pieces?’ Diane smiled. ‘You’ll see. High-end. This collector doesn’t hold back.’ Twenty minutes later Velassaru came into view - white sand, bungalows over the water, the same pier stretching out. Her heart raced. This was it.
Velassaru Resort - The Suite The suite was stunning. Overwater bungalow, glass panels in the floor so you could see fish swimming under you. Big white bed. An outdoor shower. The private deck had steps going right down into the lagoon.
‘Gorgeous,’ Guinevere said, wandering around, touching things, staring at the endless blue.
‘Only the best for you, Ms. Martin,’ Diane said. ‘It’s 3:15 now. Go freshen up, rest a bit. Back here at 4:30 for the fitting and briefing?’ ‘Perfect.’ She peeled off her travel clothes and stepped into the outdoor shower. The water felt perfect. She washed off the whole last twelve hours. When she stepped out, she grabbed the big white towel and wrapped it around herself. No clothes to put on yet. So, she just sat on the bed in the towel, waiting.
Wardrobe Fitting The knock came right on time.
Diane and Marcus stood there with two big silver wardrobe cases. ‘Perfect timing,’ Diane said. ‘Can we come in?’ Guinevere stepped aside, clutching the towel tight. ‘Sorry, I got out of the shower and didn’t really have anything to wear... ‘ ‘No worries at all,’ Diane said cheerfully, wheeling one case inside. ‘We’re gonna try on a bunch of stuff tonight anyway. Easier if you’re not dressed.’ Guinevere stood there awkwardly. They were both fully dressed and acting totally normal while she was basically naked under a towel.
She felt super self-conscious. ‘Um ... should I go change in the bathroom or...?’ Diane looked up, surprised. ‘Oh no, it’s fine. We’ve done this hundreds of times. You’re a pro, we’re pros. Nothing to be shy about.’ Guinevere forced a small awkward laugh. ‘Right ... yeah, of course.’ She told herself it was no big deal. She’d been naked in front of strangers her whole career. This was just work.
Still, she hesitated ... then let the towel drop.
For the first time in years, she stood completely naked in front of two fully dressed people. Her body still looked good - tighter, fuller, long legs - but the cool air on her skin made her fight the urge to cover herself. She hated how exposed she felt.
Diane didn’t even blink. Just held out the first bikini. ‘Maldives 2006. Exact copy. Turquoise. Super small.’ Guinevere stepped into it. The thin string bit high on her hips. She pulled it up over her smooth shaved pussy. The front barely covered her mound; the back string vanished between her ass cheeks.
She glanced in the mirror and her face burned.
Diane didn’t say a word. She just reached over and yanked the waistband lower, pulling it tighter against her. It made her look even more exposed.
Then the top. Diane stepped behind her, tied it tight behind her neck and back. ‘There. See? Almost nothing. Pretty close to the original.’ Guinevere looked down. The triangles were fucking tiny. Her tits spilled out the sides.
‘How does it feel?’ Diane asked, still smiling.
‘Very tight,’ Guinevere mumbled. ‘Smaller than I thought.’ Diane nodded. ‘Coverage good, Marcus?’ Marcus snapped a photo on his tablet. ‘Top thirty-two percent. Bottom twenty.’ ‘Walk for me.’ Guinevere walked across the room. She could feel the barely-there string sliding between her cheeks with every step. Both just stared and assessed.
When she turned around, Diane was already pulling out the next bikini. ‘White one. For tomorrow. Go ahead and change.’ Guinevere paused. ‘Right here?’ Diane smiled like she’d said something cute. ‘We’ve got a lot to get through tonight. Just change, it’s fine.’ Guinevere reached back and untied the top. It fell to the floor. She stepped out of the bottoms and stood there naked for a few seconds while Diane rummaged through the next bag.
Then came the emerald green one - even smaller. Blood red. Gold. Black. Each one smaller, each one tighter. By the tenth change she’d stopped bothering to turn away. She just stood there, tired as hell, letting them look and poke and adjust whatever they wanted.
At one point, while Diane was tying strings on a micro black bikini, Guinevere let out a nervous laugh. ‘God ... I don’t remember them being this small.’ Diane smiled, still focused on the strings. ‘You were twenty-two. Your body was smaller back then. Now everything sits a lot tighter on you.’ Guinevere didn’t answer. She just stared at herself in the mirror - forty years old, standing there in a bikini that barely existed, while two fully dressed people measured and photographed her like she was some inventory item.
It was supposed to be professional, but she still felt she was no longer the one in control.
When they finally finished, Diane closed the last case and checked her watch. ‘Excellent. Everything fits great. You’ve kept yourself in amazing shape, Ms. Martin. We’re impressed. You may keep this one on. And anyway, all the bikinis you will wear will be yours to keep after the project. They are very generous on all fronts.’ Guinevere stood there in the last one - the tiny cyan string bikini - and just nodded.
‘Tomorrow morning, 6 a.m. We’ll meet you downstairs. Bring nothing. We’ll dress you on location. Any questions?’ Guinevere shook her head slowly. ‘No questions.’ ‘Perfect. Rest well, Ms. Martin.’ They left.
Guinevere stood there alone in the suite, still wearing nothing but that barely-there cyan string bikini. She stared at herself in the mirror for a long moment, then sat down heavily on the edge of the bed.
She had nothing else to wear.
And apparently that was totally fine with everyone.
Room Service After they left, she stood in front of the mirror again. Still in that ridiculously small cyan bikini. She felt this stupid guilty urge hit her. What would it look like with heels?
She slipped on her tall black Louboutins and turned slowly. Fuck ... her legs looked endless, her ass lifted and round, the tiny bikini barely covering anything. She caught herself smiling at her reflection and hated how much she liked it.
Then the knock came.
Guinevere opened the door and found a young guy in uniform with a room-service cart. The second he saw her his eyes went wide and just ... stayed there, dragging all over her body.
‘Good evening, Ms. Martin,’ he said, trying to sound professional but failing hard. He pushed the cart straight in. ‘Dinner for you. And some stuff the project sent up.’ He put the plate on the table and added a fancy little dessert. ‘Kitchen made this special. They said you’ve been cooperative. Honestly ... you look incredible. Even better than in the photos.’ Guinevere quickly crossed her arms over her chest. Her face was already burning up.
‘Thanks,’ she muttered.
He smiled, eyes still all over her. ‘No, I mean it. You’re a legend. I’ve got a couple of your posters in my room. The big 2006 one - you walking out of the water in that turquoise bikini - it’s hanging right above my bed. Had it for years.’ She had no idea what to say. She shifted nervously in the tall heels, suddenly super aware of how naked she basically was.
He got bolder. ‘But this look right now? That microscopic string bikini and those crazy heels? God damn. You look way hotter than the old shoots. Your body’s perfect. The way that wiry little waistband sits on your hips ... wow.’ Guinevere’s face burned even hotter. She could feel her nipples getting hard against the slim fabric.
He leaned against the cart, still staring. ‘Would you mind doing a quick spin for me? Just a slow turn. I’d love to see the back ... compare it to that poster.’ She stared at him, shocked. ‘Excuse me?’ He shrugged, trying to look innocent but his eyes were hungry. ‘Come on, just one. It’d really make my night. Please?’ She stood there for a long moment, heart pounding. Part of her wanted to tell him to fuck off. But she didn’t want to cause drama on her first night. Slowly she uncrossed her arms.
‘ ... Fine. Just once,’ she whispered.
