It’s strange to look back and realize that it was only two months from when I met Lori to when we first made love. It felt like a lifetime. And maybe it was. I certainly changed a lot during that time. That’s not to say I shed my past completely, at least not then. But the man who pulled her green panties off was not the same man who first saw her in them.
Those two months had changed me profoundly, even though I didn’t realize it much at the time. I’d left the comfort of my conventionally conservative family for college at the notoriously liberal University of Colorado at Boulder.
