The morning I gather everyone in the library arrives with the kind of electric anticipation that makes your skin tingle and your heart race. The room is filled with my family—my chosen family, my blood family, my extended family. Lexi kneels at my feet, her body naked and warm. Stone is beside her, his collar gleaming. Lily is in her corner, finally home after decades away. The Chen family is here, and Rebecca and Oliver have come too.

You’re probably wondering what this gathering is about. Why I’ve called everyone together. The answer is simple: we have a situation. A beautiful, complicated, life-changing situation.

“We have a situation,” I announce. “Chloe is sixteen. She’s a pet. Lily is sixteen. She’s an owner. They are both young. They are both new to this. And they both need guidance, structure, and safety.”

I look at the Chen family. “You cannot care for them from the outside. You need to be here. You need to be part of this estate, part of this family, part of this world.”

Mrs. Chen speaks. “We don’t have much. We live in a small apartment. We struggle. We want our daughter to have a better life. We want to support her choice. We want to be near her. If you offer us a place, we will accept.”

Mr. Chen nods. “I can work the grounds. I can maintain the estate. I’m a hard worker. I’ll do whatever is needed.”

I extend my hand. “Then welcome to the Copeland estate. All of you. You have a home here. You have a future here.”

The new living arrangements are set. Rebecca lives in the main house, her quarters adjacent to the family wing. She oversees household operations. Oliver lives with his mother, attends school on the estate, and receives tutoring and support. The Chen family is given a cottage on the estate grounds. Mrs. Chen works in household management. Mr. Chen works as a grounds manager.

Chloe lives with Lily in the Chen cottage, serves as Lily’s pet, and continues her education on the estate. Stone continues to serve as my pet, but is now close to his family.

The estate is now home to: Ruth, David, and their pets (Lexi and Stone). Caroline and Bud (her pet of twenty years). Rebecca and Oliver (the ex-wife and son). The Chen family (Chloe’s owners). Chloe (the youngest pet). Lily (the youngest owner). And Lily (my father’s lost love, finally home).

The family adjusts to its new dynamic. It’s not always easy. There are conflicts, misunderstandings, and tensions. But there’s also love. There’s also belonging. There’s also peace.

I watch the family grow together. Rebecca learns to accept Stone’s new life. Oliver learns to accept his father and sister. The Chens learn to accept their daughter’s role.

It’s beautiful. It’s messy. It’s real.

Stone kneels before me, his body naked, his collar gleaming. “I came here to destroy you, Mistress. I exposed you. I ruined your reputation. And you gave me everything. You gave me a purpose. You gave me a home. You gave me my family back.”

I place my hand on his head. “You chose to surrender. You chose to be seen. You chose to be mine. That takes more courage than any exposé ever could. You are my pet now. And I take care of what is mine. Your family is my family now.”

He cries, overwhelmed by the kindness, the generosity, the love. “I don’t deserve this. I don’t deserve any of this.”

“You deserve it because you chose it. You chose to be seen. You chose to belong. You chose to be loved. And that’s all anyone can ever do.”

Mrs. Chen speaks to me privately. “We didn’t know what to expect. We thought you were monsters. We thought the Paradigm was a cult. But we see now—you’re a family. A strange family, but a family. And you’ve given us a home. We will never forget this.”
