Erotica Sex Story: Chapter 7: Sophie’s Rebellion - He left Nigeria as a boy. Berlin made him something else. Tolu has always been the golden child—the obedient son, the scholarship winner, the one who made his mother proud. But inside, he's hollow. His father's death left him hungry for something he can't name. Control. Power. Meaning. When his aunt places a leather-bound journal in his hands on the night before his departure, she gives him more than notes on psychology and leverage. She gives him a key to who he could become.

The club was too loud and too full. Bass hit my chest like it had a personal problem with me. Lights flashed in stupid colours. People danced like they were trying to forget their rent was due.

I only came because a guy from my class said the place was “good for foreigners.” He lied. It was good for people who enjoyed shouting into each other’s ears.

I stood near the bar with a beer I did not want, trying to look like I belonged. That plan lasted four minutes.

A girl appeared in front of me like she had been shot out of a cannon. Short dark hair, two piercings in one eyebrow, another in her nose, black boots that had seen war. She pointed at me with a half-empty drink.

“You,” she said. “You look like someone who thinks he has a system.”

I blinked. “Sorry?”

“A system.” She waved her hand around my face. “The careful eyes. The straight back. The ‘I am observing everything’ face. I hate systems.”

Her friends behind her laughed. There were three of them, all watching like this was free entertainment. Walking away now would look like I was scared of a girl half my size. I stayed.

“I don’t have a system,” I said.

“Liar. Everyone from your side of the room has a system. Let me guess — scholarship, good grades, secret sadness, five-year plan.” She took a long drink. “Am I close?”

I almost smiled. “Painfully close.”

“Ha! I knew it.” She turned to her friends. “Pay up. I told you he was one of those.”

One of the girls groaned and handed her a five-euro note. Sophie — I learned her name two minutes later — shoved the money in her bra like a prize.

“I’m Sophie,” she said, sticking her hand out. “I collect interesting people and then irritate them until they leave or buy me food.”

“Tolu.”

“Tolu. Nice name. Very serious. Do you ever smile with your teeth or is that against the system?”

I showed her my teeth. She clapped once, delighted.

“There it is! He has a human side. Someone write that down.”

Her friends were already losing interest and drifting toward the dance floor. Sophie stayed. She leaned on the bar beside me and started talking like we had known each other for years. She insulted the DJ, the price of drinks, the boy who tried to dance behind her, and the entire concept of “networking events.” Every sentence came with hand movements.

I found myself laughing more than I expected. She was chaos with eyeliner.

After a while she grabbed my wrist.

“Outside. I need air and you need to stop looking so responsible.”

The night air hit us like a slap. Sophie pulled a cigarette from her jacket, lit it, and exhaled toward the sky. Under the streetlight I saw them — thin pale scars on both of her wrists, and another longer one along her collarbone when her jacket shifted.

She caught me looking and did not hide.

“Old souvenirs,” she said. “From when I thought drama was a personality.” She shrugged. “I’m better at living now. Slightly.”

We stood there while she smoked. The club noise thumped behind the door. She talked about Berlin, about moving here from a small town she refused to name, about how freedom was supposed to feel better than it actually did.
