Chapter 12: Gallery Opening & The Rival
Erotica Sex Story: Chapter 12: Gallery Opening & The Rival - He left Nigeria as a boy. Berlin made him something else. Tolu has always been the golden child—the obedient son, the scholarship winner, the one who made his mother proud. But inside, he's hollow. His father's death left him hungry for something he can't name. Control. Power. Meaning. When his aunt places a leather-bound journal in his hands on the night before his departure, she gives him more than notes on psychology and leverage. She gives him a key to who he could become.

The gallery sat on a quiet street in Mitte, white walls and polished concrete floors reflecting the soft overhead lights. Guests moved in slow clusters, holding wine glasses and speaking in the careful tones people used when they wanted to sound important. Paintings hung at exact intervals. A sculpture of twisted metal stood near the centre of the main room.
Tolu arrived with Lena at his side. She wore a simple black dress and low heels. Nothing about her appearance suggested anything beyond a colleague or a friend. He had made certain of that before they left her apartment.
Inside the doorway he spoke quietly without looking at her.
“Stay on my left when we move. If I stop near the far wall, stand slightly behind me. If anyone joins us, let me handle the first exchange.”
Lena gave a small nod. She understood the instructions. They had practised similar things before, though never in a room this full of people who could damage careers with a few well-placed comments.
They walked into the main space. Academics from different departments mixed with collectors and a few journalists. Tolu recognised two professors from his faculty and a woman who sat on a funding board. He kept his expression neutral and his posture open. Lena matched his pace exactly.
For the first hour they moved through the rooms without trouble. Tolu greeted people he needed to greet. He discussed a recent paper with one senior lecturer and listened to a collector complain about rising prices. Lena remained present but quiet, speaking only when spoken to. When Tolu shifted position, she adjusted without being told again. The coordination felt natural to anyone watching.
Then Dr. Weiss appeared.
He came from the direction of the main entrance, grey suit perfectly cut, silver hair combed back, smile already in place. Weiss held a senior position in the faculty and sat on more than one external committee. People tended to straighten when he entered a conversation.
He stopped in front of Tolu and Lena with a glass of white wine in his hand.
“Tolu. I didn’t expect to see you here.”
“Dr. Weiss.”
Weiss glanced at Lena, then back at Tolu. The smile stayed polite.
“I’ve been hearing interesting things about your extracurricular education.”
The sentence landed softly, almost like a compliment. Tolu did not react. Lena remained still beside him.
Weiss continued in the same light tone.
“Sophie from the clubs, for example. Quite a presence, I’m told. And Clara — her family’s foundation has been generous to several programmes this year. Small world, isn’t it?”
He mentioned both names in the same breath, casually enough that it could have passed for gossip. The accuracy of the information made it something else.
Tolu kept his voice even. “I try to meet a range of people.”
“Of course you do.” Weiss’s eyes moved to Lena again. “And you’re always in good company.”
