Chapter 1

Romance Sex Story: Chapter 1 - Unlike most stories posted here, though sex may be present, the story's focus is on learning the value of creating and nurturing a special rare connection between 2 caring introverted seniors who have limited their options due to past hurts and disappointments. Seeing beyond expectations and dysfunctional indoctrination of their past, both view what's within their control, believe in themselves and learn what a real relationship is all about.

“Slender, Introverted Senior Man Seeking Slender, Introverted Senior Woman for a special friendship.”

“Jim, why don’t you include more details in your online profile?”

“Heather, do you believe posting a list of 100 qualities will raise my likelihood of attracting the right woman for me? Yes, we all have our preferences, but how many of those preferences are mandatory and how many are just nice to have?”

“You’re a great guy. I still can’t understand the reason you haven’t been taken long ago.”

“Unfortunately, people aren’t realistic. They have no problem expecting of others what they wouldn’t want expected of them. They expect their preferences to be respected, while not even considering the preferences of others. They assume anyone they’re interested in should also be interested in them. Our preferences are generally influenced by our past experiences. We tend to gravitate toward that which has worked well in the past while shying away from what we’ve associated with negative experiences.”

“Alright, Jim, please explain the few limitations you have included in your post. I’d like to keep my eyes open and possibly help you connect with someone special. There must be lots of women who fit your description.”

“Actually, there aren’t as many as you believe there are. Rather than help and encourage people to discover and be true to their true self, we’re encouraged to fit an idealized mold. Not all guys are looking for Barbie Dolls. People tend to post what they believe will attract the most potential partners, not necessarily what is true. That results in a bait-n-switch. They claim to be one thing, and then take off their mask once the other has invested and feels stuck, expecting the other person to accept and appreciate them as they are.

I won’t make promises just to hook someone. If they don’t appreciate and desire me as I am, I’m not interested in being seen as a lump of clay to be molded into their ideal. No one is desirous of being a lump of clay to be molded by others. It would be so much easier to connect with people if we chose to be open and honest about who we are and what we are seeking from the start. Everyone deserves to be desired and appreciated for who they are, not for the potential they could or should become.

I’ll explain the statement I’m posting. I’m not looking for extremes in any area. She doesn’t need to be skinny. I just find it hard to hold interest in someone larger than me. I tend to feel smothered by size. It’s not about weight, either, as that tends to be determined more by the size of our bones than our percentage of fat. I find waist to height ratio being a better picture of a person’s size. For me, that would be 32/72 or 0.444. Healthwise, the ideal ratio is under 0.5. Though I prefer small in all areas, I realize some things are out of our control, so I wouldn’t automatically reject a woman who wears a C-cup bra. I probably wouldn’t be interested in a woman who has felt the need to surgically super-size her breasts, though.

As an introvert, I realize the effort required to keep up with an extrovert. Extroverts tend to strive for extremes. Once they attain one, they just shoot for the next extreme, never truly feeling satisfied with anything. Introverts appreciate subtleties, and there are endless subtleties to discover and appreciate. Introverts are less likely to feel bored. Simplicity holds my interest longer and is more meaningful to me.

A related topic here is my appreciation of clear, concise, open, honest communication. I’d rather be with someone who speaks few meaningful words than someone who talks non-stop. Silence doesn’t need to constantly be filled. Some of my most memorable moments occurred during silence.
