Chapter 6: Three Good Years, and the Rain Road

Incest Sex Story: Chapter 6: Three Good Years, and the Rain Road - In a small apartment at the edge of the city, life runs on quiet rituals. Kaori Mizushima packs lunches, shelves mystery novels at the neighborhood bookstore, and measures the year by the photo on the shelf—her late husband Yuto, work-rough hands, a baby Ren in his arms. Ren Mizushima is nineteen now, tall, careful, still home because rent is expensive and because this place still feels like belonging. He notices his mother more than a son should. He pretends he doesn’t...

Kaori rested a moment with her head near Ren’s shoulder, then sat up again, as if finishing the story needed her own spine.

“The next three years were sweat and hope mixed together,” she said. “We grew tomatoes, cabbage, onions, cucumbers, fruit in season. Your father learned to drive an old truck. I learned prices and customer smiles. Little by little the broken house became warm. Little by little the empty field became a garden. Little by little we opened a small shop near the market — nothing fancy. Clean counter. Fresh goods. Honest weight on the scale.”

Ren tried to picture it: his mother young, his father alive, himself a toddler between vegetable crates.

“People started to know us,” Kaori said. “‘The young couple with the baby.’ ‘Hard workers.’ ‘That boy Yuto never sits still.’ ‘That girl Kaori has a kind face.’”

She found a photo in the box — blurry, sun-bleached. Yuto with Ren on his shoulders. Kaori in the background, laughing, hand raised as if to say wait, take it again.

“You chased chickens,” she said. “You called Mama and Papa with the same joy. After work your father still lifted you even when his body hurt. I watched you both and thought, We did it. We really did it.”

They were not rich. They were no longer starving. They made plans: a better truck, bigger shelves, new school clothes for Ren that were not mended, maybe one day another child.

“Then the world broke,” Kaori said.

June 18. Wet evening. Sixteen years ago from this very day.

Yuto left to deliver goods two towns over — crates carefully packed, money waiting on the other side. Rain made the road shine like glass. A larger truck came too fast around the bend. Brakes screamed. Metal folded.

“By the time I got the call,” Kaori said, and now her voice finally cracked fully, “he was already gone.”

Twenty years old.

Ren three.

Kaori eighteen, a widow with land, a shop, and a child who kept asking when Papa was coming home.

The funeral was small. Madam Maya stood beside her like a second spine. Neighbors brought incense and awkward kindness. Kaori’s parents did not come. Not one letter. Not one flower.

“That night, after everyone left, I sat on the floor and broke,” Kaori said. “I pressed my face into his work shirt. I apologized to a man who could no longer hear me. Then I heard a sound at the doorway.”
