Chapter 1: A Quiet June Morning

Incest Sex Story: Chapter 1: A Quiet June Morning - In a small apartment at the edge of the city, life runs on quiet rituals. Kaori Mizushima packs lunches, shelves mystery novels at the neighborhood bookstore, and measures the year by the photo on the shelf—her late husband Yuto, work-rough hands, a baby Ren in his arms. Ren Mizushima is nineteen now, tall, careful, still home because rent is expensive and because this place still feels like belonging. He notices his mother more than a son should. He pretends he doesn’t...

The kitchen smelled like miso and warm rice.

Ren Mizushima stood in the doorway for a second longer than usual. Not for any big reason. Just because the morning felt soft, and his mother moved through it like she always did — calm, careful, humming under her breath.

Kaori was thirty-four. Her dark hair was still down. She wore a simple house dress, light blue, nothing fancy. When she turned from the rice cooker, she smiled the way she always smiled at him.

“You’re up early.”

“Couldn’t sleep much,” Ren said. “Not bad. Just ... awake.”

“Sit. Tea is ready.”

He sat. She poured. Their fingers did not touch. It was a normal morning in a small apartment near the edge of the city: two bowls, two cups, the radio low, summer light coming through the window.

Ren was nineteen, a college first-year, living at home because rent was expensive and because this place still felt like home. Kaori worked part-time at a neighborhood bookstore. She packed his lunch most days. She asked about his classes. She nagged him, gently, about vegetables.

That was their life.

And yet, sometimes — only sometimes — Ren’s eyes stayed on her a little too long.

Today it happened when she reached for the upper shelf. The dress pulled tight across her back for a second. He looked down at his rice at once, ears warm. It was nothing. He told himself it was nothing. A son could notice his mother was pretty without making it strange. Plenty of people said she looked young for her age. The beauty mark under her left eye. Soft brown eyes. A kind mouth.

He was just ... noticing.

Kaori set grilled fish on the table and sat across from him.

“You have a group presentation today, right?”

“Yeah. After lunch.”

“You’ll do fine. You always prepare.” She took a sip of tea, then added more quietly, “If you come home early, that’s okay too. Tomorrow is ... a heavy day for me.”

Ren’s chopsticks paused.

He knew what tomorrow was.

June 18.

The day his father died.

Every year Kaori grew a little quieter around this date. She never made a big show. She never forced sadness into the room. She just moved softer, spoke softer, and looked at the old photo on the shelf a little longer.

“I know,” Ren said. “Dad’s day.”

Kaori nodded. “Sixteen years this time. You were only three. Sometimes I still can’t believe how fast it went.”

“Do you want me to go with you to the grave?”
