The golden rays of the morning sun slipped through the curtains, filling the bedroom with warmth.
Aurora slowly opened her eyes.

“I knew you were going to say that.”
“You need to rest.”

He disappeared into the kitchen.
Almost thirty minutes later, he returned carrying a breakfast tray.
Fresh pancakes, eggs, fruit, toast, orange juice, and two cups of coffee filled the tray.
Aurora stared at him.
“Did you make all this?”
“I had help.”
She raised an eyebrow.
“You ordered some of it, didn’t you?”
Damien laughed.
“Maybe.”
She couldn’t help laughing too.
They ate together, feeding each other bites and teasing one another until both of them were smiling nonstop.
That afternoon, Damien suggested they leave the apartment.
“I have somewhere I’d like to take you.”
Aurora smiled.
“Is it another surprise?”
“You’ll find out soon.”
After a short drive, they arrived at a beautiful botanical garden.
Flowers of every color surrounded them.
Aurora’s eyes sparkled with excitement.
