I walked in to find Mom in the kitchen making sandwiches. She was wearing a little dress, much like what my sister would occasionally wear, but a lot like the one Jordyn had worn yesterday, except it was white instead of yellow. She looked over her shoulder to see who was walking in from the garage, and when she saw me, she spun around, smiling.
“How’d it go?” Mom asked.
“Good,” I replied. “I kind of sucked for the first nine holes, but the back nine was awesome. I almost got a hole-in-one!”
“Really, that’s amazing!” Mom smiled brightly. “Your dad’s never gotten one of those.”
“It was this close...” I held up my hands, keeping them only an inch or two apart.
“Wow, you’ll have to tell me about it later.”
“Oh, I will!” I nodded, looking out the window, trying to see if my sister and her friends were in the backyard.
“The girls are in the pool,” Mom said, reading my mind as to what I was thinking.
“Thanks!” I took off out the back and raced towards Danny’s old house and the pool in their backyard.
I ran through the yard and the opening in the fence and found all three girls sitting at the edge of the pool, their feet dangling in the water. Leah was on the left, Nik on the right, and Jordyn was sitting in the middle.
“Lucas!” Leah was the first to look up and see me.
I nearly tripped over my own feet when I saw the sight before me. Leah was naked, as usual, and so was Nik. What shocked me, however, was that Jordyn was, too! “I’m just glad she’s finally showing them off.” Leah smiled.
“Too true!” Nik agreed quickly.
“It’s not like I hid them from you two,” Jordyn replied.
“Thank God for that!” Nik leered.
“But you never showed them to anyone but us, let alone a boy,” Leah added.
“Lucas is special,” Jordyn said, sliding over and pressing herself against me. “He’s the only guy that I want to see them or that I’ll show them off to.”
“You hear that, Lucas?” Nik said. “You should feel special.”

“Alright, enough of that, or you two will start doing the nasty again right here in the pool,” Leah joked, confirming that either they’d heard us this morning or Jordyn had told them everything. “I already told you we didn’t do that!” Jordyn whined.

“Bullshit!” Jordyn smirked. “You just said you liked Danny’s come.”
“I did not!” Leah hissed.

“I said it wasn’t that bad,” Leah groaned. “I never said I liked it.”
“Someone’s got some explaining to do.”
“It’s no big deal.” Leah tried to downplay what was going on as best she could, but it was no use. Nik and Jordyn were not going to let that go. Not a chance.
“Hey, I told you when you asked,” Jordyn said, crossing her arms in front of her chest and scowling.
“Fine, I’ll tell you about it...” Leah sighed. “Just not right now, and not with my brother here.”
“You better,” Nik challenged.
“I promise,” Leah replied, and both Nik and Jordyn looked at each other, grinned, and then nodded their acceptance.
“I’m going to go play some Call of Duty,” I announced, trying to make my escape before things got weirder.
“Can’t you stay with us for a bit longer?” Jordyn asked, looking sad that I was going to leave.
“If he goes, then Leah can tell us all about what she and Danny were up to...” Nik said. “ ... and never told us about it.”
“Ohh, good point!” Jordyn smiled, and just like that, I was forgotten and slipped away without another word from the girls.
I fired up the game and started going through my friends lists, hoping that Danny would be online. Sadly, he wasn’t, which took some of the fun out of playing the game. If Leah or Danny weren’t there to play, it just wasn’t as much fun. I still played a handful of Search and Destroy games, but I was starting to rage because my teammates were horrible, and I needed to take a break before I threw my controller and headset on the ground.
Thankfully, that’s when Mom came down to do some laundry and asked if I’d help. Normally, I hated laundry, hated it with a passion. I sucked at folding clothes and didn’t even get me started on folding towels or sheets. Fitted sheets are the stupidest invention ever!
“Then can you grab the load out of the dryer, please?” Mom asked, offering me a small smile.
“Yeah.” I sighed and started pulling the freshly dried clothes out and stuffing them into the laundry basket.
“Your dad told me he has a little man-to-man talk with you on the way home,” Mom said, grabbing handfuls of whites out of the hamper she’d brought down and dropping them in the washer.
“Not you too,” I groaned.
“Oh, come on.” Mom chuckled. “Your dad said it went pretty good.”
“I mean, it did, I guess,” I grumbled, not wanting to have this talk twice. The first time was bad enough.
“That’s good, right?” Mom asked.
“It’s not like I’m eight years old anymore,” I complained. “I know what sex is, how it works. I mean, it’s hard not to with you and dad partying in the hot tub every week since forever.”
“I wouldn’t say we’ve been ‘partying in the hot tub forever,’” Mom said, her tone teasing as she tried to mimic my attitude.
“Okay, yeah, not forever,” I replied. “But for as long as Leah and I can remember. It’s not like it was some kind of secret.”
“We thought it was.” Mom blushed.
“Seriously?” I asked, my jaw hanging in surprise.
“Well, we’d hoped you didn’t know exactly what we were doing.”
“We didn’t at first.”
“God!” Mom’s face was deep crimson now.
“Like I said, it’s not a big deal,” I replied. “You and Dad like sex. Danny’s parents liked sex. What’s the big deal?”
“Nothing.” Mom smiled. “There was nothing wrong with what we were doing. Not one thing.”
“Then what’s the big deal with a girl sneaking into my room?”
“You’re fourteen,” Mom explained, putting in the last of the whites and moving over to help me sort the dry clothes She started folding them, setting them in piles on top of the dryer. “I know you think you know everything, but earth to Lucas, you don’t.”
“Gee, thanks.”
“You know that’s not what I meant.”
“I think I am old enough to understand sex and know how to handle it.”
“We know that honey. We just want to make sure you’re being smart.”
“I am.”
“I don’t think sleeping with your sister’s friends was all that smart, seeing as how your sister didn’t know about it.”
“She...” I trailed off, realizing I’d just about told her Leah knew all about it, that it was her idea to begin with.
“She what?” Mom gave me a knowing look, and I knew I was trapped. I took a chance and told her the truth.
“Leah knew about it,” I said, my face flushing. I was treading on dangerous ground here, and if Mom started prying for details, I wasn’t sure how I was going to answer her questions without giving away Leah’s and my secret.
“She did, did she?” Mom gave me a surprised look, but she grinned almost wickedly, which was weird considering what we were talking about.
“Yeah...”
“Let me guess, it was her idea.” Now my face felt like it was on fire. I couldn’t find words and just nodded, letting her know that she’d guessed correctly. “Yeah, I thought so. I tried to ask your sister about it earlier, and she tried to make it seem like she had no idea and was completely shocked that one of her friends had gone to your room.”
“Oh, God.” I shook my head.
“Your sister is the worst liar I have ever seen.”
“No kidding.” I chuckled, knowing Mom was absolutely right.
“I think it’s great.” Mom grinned.
“Of course you do, you’re our mom.”
“Exactly, and you shouldn’t lie to your parents.”
“We don’t—”
“Lucas, I’m your mom, not an idiot.” She gave me a look that stopped the lie I was about to tell her about lying dead in its tracks.
There was some awkward silence after that while I folded mine and Leah’s shirts and set them on the proper piles on top of the dryer.
“I hope you’re having fun,” Mom said.
“Huh?”
