The early noon light filtered gently through the bougainvillea trellis that climbed the walls of Isabella’s patio. Sofia and Layla sat close together on the wide outdoor sofa, legs tucked under them, whispering and giggling like they were fourteen again instead of seniors about to graduate high-school.

“I’m telling you,” Layla murmured, leaning in with a mischievous grin, “if he’s even half as good-looking as the photos Tia Latha showed us, I’m wearing that little coral top tomorrow. The one that slips off my shoulder.”

Sofia covered her mouth, laughing softly. “Hah! Amateur! I was thinking the white sundress ... the one Mama says is too short. But if he’s serious and all professor-like, maybe we can make him forget he’s supposed to be tutoring us.”

“You remember Professor Ramirez? He almost walked into a wall when you wore that for the annual day at school.”

“And Miguel even stopped chasing you for a few minutes. I don’t know why you encourage that creep. He’s dangerous!”

“He’s an idiot. Yea ... he tries to act like a tough guy and all but in the end they are all just boys.”

The two girls dissolved into another fit of quiet laughter, heads bent together, voices low and excited.

Inside the kitchen, Isabella was humming an old song while stirring the arroz con pollo for lunch. The comforting smells of garlic, cumin, and chicken filled the house.

She stopped suddenly and frowned when the bell at the gate outside rang. She hadn’t been expecting anyone today. Hopefully it wasn’t that idiota Pedro complaining about the fixes at the house in Miraflores. She was done trying to explain to him that the tenants were moving in a week and that everything needed to be completed in time. Sighing, undid her apron and opened the front door to the gate. When she saw who was standing at the gate, she simply stared.

Then her hands flew to her mouth.

“Daniela ... eres tu?”

Daniela stood there in a simple tank top and jeans, looking more stylish than any runway model, suitcase beside her, smiling that same bright, confident smile Isabella remembered so well.

“Surprise, Tía Bella,” she said softly.

Isabella ran to the gate and let out a sound that was half-laugh, half-sob, as she pulled her into a fierce hug. Daniela wrapped her arms around her tightly, holding on as if she might disappear again. They stayed like that for a long moment, rocking slightly in the doorway.

“Ay Dios mío,” Isabella whispered, voice thick with tears. “You didn’t tell me. Not a single message. I would have picked you up, I would have...”

“I wanted to see your face like this,” Daniela murmured, pressing her cheek to Isabella’s hair. “I’m here for the whole summer, tía. I finished college ... and I just needed to come home.”

Isabella pulled back, cupping Daniela’s face with both hands, studying her with shining eyes. “Look at you. You haven’t changed at all. Still the same beautiful girl who used to run through my house stealing cookies. And still so gorgeous with that smile.”

Daniela laughed softly. “Gorgeous? Me?”

“You know exactly what you are,” Isabella said, a playful glint in her eye. “Your mother and I used to say the same thing about each other back in the day. Two hopeless flirts who couldn’t behave.”

Daniela’s grin widened. “Tia Bella have you looked at yourself in the mirror lately? Mami would be so jealous of you! You look like you’re twenty-five. Just with the kind of curves that stop traffic! Mami would be so jealous of you for looking like this. I swear you would have all the boys and girls after you in Austin. Including me.”

“Ay! You haven’t changed a bit. Just as naughty as always!”

“For you? Anytime Tia.”

Growing up, she had always viewed Isabella through the safe, distant lens of a child, she was just ‘Mami’s best friend,’ a permanent fixture of her childhood. But standing here now, fresh out of college and possessing a fully awakened appreciation for beauty in all its forms, something shifted. Isabella wasn’t just a mother or an aunt anymore; she was a stunning, vibrant woman whose maturity only added an intoxicating layer of elegance to her allure. For the first time, Daniela didn’t feel like a child standing in a kitchen, she felt like a peer. And the realization that they shared the exact same wicked, flirtatious DNA sent a thrilling little spark through her chest.

The noise brought Sofia running from the patio with Layla following right behind her. Sofia stopped short as she saw Daniela. “Daniela?! Eres tu? Verdad!”

Daniela’s face lit up. She opened her arms and Sofia flew into them without hesitation. The hug was tight and warm. Daniela held her close, one hand gently stroking her hair.

“I’m so sorry I couldn’t be here more after your papa, niña,” Daniela whispered. “I felt so guilty the whole time I was studying. But I’m here now, okay? All summer. For you and your mama.”

Sofia nodded against her shoulder, eyes misty. “I missed you.”

“I missed you more, chica.”

When they finally pulled apart, Daniela turned to Layla, who was standing there looking equal parts excited and shy.

“And you,” Daniela said warmly, pulling her into a hug as well. “Little Layla who used to copy my cheer routines in the garden. Look at you now! Que linda! All grown up and even more stunning.”

Layla hugged her back tightly, voice full of awe. “You’re literally a legend at school. Everyone still talks about you. I can’t believe you’re actually here.”

Sofia pulled back from the hug but kept one arm looped around Daniela’s waist, grinning up at her. “You’re really here for the whole summer? Finally! We were starting to think you’d forgotten about us little people back home.”

Layla jumped in, bumping Daniela’s hip with her own. “Yeah, Miss College Legend. Bet everyone in Austin was crying when you left. Meanwhile we’ve been holding down the fort. I’m teaching belly dance now, you know. Your old routines are cute, but the girls want something hotter these days.”

Daniela laughed softly and kissed Layla’s cheek, letting her lips linger just a moment. “Then I guess I’ll have to live up to the legend this summer.”

“You’re on!”

They moved inside talking a mile a minute as Sofia and Layla helped Daniela pick a bedroom and helped her stow her luggage away. There was a lot of hugging and hand clutching until they decided to retire to the shaded patio together. Isabella quickly whipped up some cold limonada. The women drank it gratefully, the limonada providing welcome respite from the heat.

The emotional storm slowly settled as the four of them sat on the shaded patio. Isabella kept dabbing at her eyes with a tissue, smiling through the last of her happy tears. Sofia sat close to Daniela, their knees almost touching. Layla had pulled her chair in tighter, still looking at Daniela like she was meeting a celebrity.

Isabella watched them with soft eyes, wiping away happy tears. “My girls ... all together again. This is the best surprise I’ve had in years.”

Sofia recovered first. “So ... you really finished college? What are you going to do now?”

Daniela immediately groaned and threw her head back dramatically.

“Ay no! Absolutely not. I just got here and already you guys are starting.”

Isabella crossed her arms, completely unrepentant. “Daniela, you are twenty-one years old now. This is a valid question.”

“I reject this negativity.”

The girls burst into laughter.

“I’m serious,” Isabella continued, though her tone stayed warm. “Your mother says every phone call turns into a fight because you refuse to answer properly.”

“Because she keeps asking me about my five-year plan like she’s interviewing me for a bank loan,” Daniela complained. “I just finished architecture school. I survived. That should count for something.”

“It counts for a lot,” Isabella said gently. “But eventually life becomes more than surviving.”

Daniela groaned louder and slid lower into her chair. “See? This is exactly why I came here. I’m too young and cool to become one of you terrifying responsible adults.”

Isabella barked out a laugh. “Too late, mija. You already sound exactly like your mother at that age.”

“Horrifying.”

“You’ll understand one day.”

Daniela pointed dramatically toward Sofia and Layla. “No. I refuse. I’m going to become the mysterious hot aunt who appears every summer, causes problems, gives terrible advice, and disappears again.”

“Daniela!” Sofia laughed.

Isabella shook her head fondly, though there was still a trace of concern beneath it.

“Fine,” she relented. “I’ll let you breathe for now. But this conversation is absolutely happening again before summer ends.”

Daniela sighed deeply like a condemned prisoner.

“Tragic. I come home seeking peace and instead I find career counseling.”

Then her expression softened slightly.

“But honestly?” she admitted quietly. “You know the scary part? I really don’t know yet. I’m just looking forward to doing nothing for a bit.”

Sofia reached over and took Daniela’s hand. “You’re here now. That’s what matters. Mami stop bothering her. Daniela and I are going to enjoy ourselves thoroughly first.”

Daniela squeezed back, then flashed a brighter smile. “Exactly. So this summer is for us. Beach days, late nights, good food, and me spoiling both of you rotten.” She glanced toward the kitchen again and raised her voice playfully. “Tía Bella, are you sure you don’t need help in there? I make a mean guacamole.”

Isabella finally stood. “I’m going to finish lunch. You girls catch up. Daniela, you must be starving after that flight.”

As soon as Isabella disappeared into the kitchen, Daniela leaned back with a playful sigh and looked at the three women who had just been crying with her.

“Alright,” she said, a mischievous glint returning to her eyes. “Enough tears. I need to see smiles now.” She turned to Isabella’s retreating figure and catcalled, “Tía Bella, you haven’t changed at all, you know that? Still the most beautiful woman in this whole neighborhood. How do you do it?”

Isabella laughed from inside. “Que pícara! You are just like your mother. Flattery will get you extra servings, mija!”

Daniela grinned, unrepentant. She turned to Sofia next, reaching over to gently tuck a strand of hair behind the younger girl’s ear, letting her fingers trail lightly down Sofia’s cheek.

“And you ... those big brown eyes and that smile. You’ve grown into something dangerous yourself, Sofia. The boys at school must lose their minds around you.”

Sofia blushed and ducked her head, smiling. “Daniela...”

“No, I mean it,” Daniela continued, voice warm and teasing. “If I were still in school, I’d be very tempted to steal you away from all those silly boys.”

Layla let out a surprised giggle. Daniela immediately turned her attention to her, eyes sparkling.

“Don’t think you’re safe, Layla. That dancer’s energy, that confidence ... Ay! I heard you’re even better at cheer than I was. Should I be worried my legacy is in danger? Or should I offer private lessons this summer?” She winked.

Layla’s cheeks flushed with delight. “I practiced your routines so many times...”

Daniela reached out and squeezed Layla’s hand, thumb brushing lightly over her knuckles. “Then we’ll practice together. I’ll be very ... thorough with my feedback.”

Both girls exchanged a quick, flustered glance, half-giggling. Isabella heading back with some snacks for the girls simply shook her head with fond amusement, clearly used to Daniela’s ways.

“Behave, mija,” Isabella said lightly, though her tone was warm. “At least until after lunch.”

Daniela grinned. “Where’s the fun in that?”

Isabella eventually called them inside for lunch, but the moment the plates were cleared, Daniela stood up with a bright smile.

“Enough sitting. I’m changing and joining you girls at the pool. Give me two minutes.”

She disappeared into the guest room with her suitcase and emerged a short while later in a stunning white bikini that perfectly complemented her sun-kissed caramel skin. The top hugged her full breasts, while the bottoms accentuated her toned waist and athletic curves. She looked like the perfect blend of youthful energy and confident womanhood.

Sofia and Layla had already changed back into their own bikinis. The three of them headed out to the pool together under the warm afternoon sun.

Daniela stretched luxuriously on the lounge chair, letting the sun warm her skin. She couldn’t help but admire the two younger women beside her.

Sofia looked unreal in that blue bikini. She was built like a living Barbie doll with her full, heavy breasts that were actually larger than Daniela’s own yet somehow still impossibly firm, a tiny cinched waist, and a toned, perfectly rounded ass that the simple bottoms framed beautifully. The way the fabric rode up between her firm cheeks made it hard not to stare. No one stood a chance against her.

Layla was pure temptation beside her. That dancer’s body was just as deadly, long graceful legs and smooth toned hips that moved with natural elegance ... except she was surprisingly top-heavy, her breasts threatening to spill out of the floral top with every little shift. Her bikini bottoms hugged her like they were painted on, highlighting every delicious curve.

Dios mío ... These were the same two girls who used to trail after her like little shadows, copying her cheer routines and begging for stories. When had that changed? In just three years they had become absolute stunners. Sofia with those heavy, perfect breasts and that tight, Barbie-doll ass that looked incredible in anything. Layla with her long dancer’s legs, perky tits, and that graceful body that moved like pure sin. They weren’t little girls anymore. They were spectacular, confident women.

The realization hit Daniela with a strange mix of pride ... and something hotter. She had always known she liked girls. But this felt different. These weren’t just any beautiful women, these were the same two she used to babysit and tease. And now she was noticing the way Sofia’s breasts strained against her top, the way Layla’s ass looked in those tiny bottoms, and feeling a low, warm flutter in her belly.

She was not the same girl that left Honduras four years back. Daniela reflected on her reactions to seeing Isabella and now the girls. She had changed so much since she had gone to college! She laughed softly at herself, amused and a little surprised by her own reaction. That was new. Did she like women more than men now? Surely not. And yet, she thought about how attracted she was to these two girls and Isabella.

Then suddenly, she remembered Kumar’s smile. She rubbed her thighs as she recalled how his body felt against hers when she stole a few caresses against him earlier that day in the flight. She remembered how she loved watching his reaction to her antics. The way she melted from inside as they conversed with each other. She smiled as she remembered how he stood up to her and teased her back. How he tried and failed to be a gentleman when she provoked him into ogling her body. She had never felt like that with a woman before. No ... this reaction to women was only physical. She still needed a man ... maybe ... him?

“Madre mía,” she murmured, smiling as she looked between them. “You two are going to cause chaos this summer. Look at you.”

Sofia struck a pose, hands on her hips, pushing her chest out playfully. “Look who’s talking, Miss White Bikini. You come back looking like that and call us dangerous? Please. We’re just catching up to you ... or maybe passing you. How does it feel being the old veteran now?”

Layla laughed and splashed water toward Daniela. “Exactly! I bet the boys at the club don’t even remember you anymore. We’ll have to re-introduce you to the boys ‘This is Daniela, she used to be the queen back in the day.’”
