Chapter 8: Vacation Victory

Option two was the choice that everyone agreed to, adding a gym/exercise room under the pool on the second floor. Struts or supporting metal I-beams were already in place so framing in walls and adding a floor was all that would be required before finishing work could start.
Milton said it would take 2-3 weeks depending on weather conditions and supplies, some things were easily accessible, and some things needed to be individually made to specific measurements.
So, we once again needed to vacate our home for up to three weeks this time. I suggested a vacation of some sort. The twins were quick to suggest a private cruise. They said they were assigned to protect a high-ranking military along with his family while they enjoyed a cruise on a yacht/sailboat. The company was CS&S Sailing out of Florida. The sailboat was like a house on water and traveled all over the Caribbean stopping at just a few islands for tours and resupply.
All the females thought it would be great and I had Harmony and Monica check it out. Tia would follow up with security issues and questions. Cari and Raini would talk finances and expenses.
The twins asked medical support because our group was now at eight. Monica let them know she was an ICU nurse. Both the twins and Tia had seriously advanced medical training from the military, which was more than a paramedic would have.
I asked what their thoughts were and they said that they knew a really skilled and experienced Trauma Doctor that might be interested in working in this growing crazy group.
I laughed and said that I took offense to the truthful way they were describing our group but totally agreed and said to invite him to check us out and we would check him out at the same time so see if we clicked and would be able to work together.
The twins looked at each other laughed and then turned to look at me and both said at the same time the way only twins can do it. “We’ll give HER a call right now.”
All the other females just started laughing, I did the double take shake with my head and asked, “HER? Not a HIM.” Both twins just nodded as they continued to laugh.
Alrighty then give HER a call and make the offer. Then I turned to Monica, Harmony, and Cari, telling them to make sure to offer at least 15% above the average rate everyone was paying, adding that they could go as high as 25%, then I looked at the twins and asked if she was really that good.
Tia cut in saying if they were thinking about Felisha MacGrath, she is one of the best. The twins were nodding their agreement with who Tia had mentioned. I said to just ask her what she felt was an acceptable salary and let me know, then hire her. The twins got shocked looks on their faces and slowly looked at each other and smiled.
Tia had beat them to the phone and walked up to me holding out her phone. Tia said Doctor MacGrath wants to talk to you.
I took the phone and introduced myself. Felisha laughed and asked why I was offering her a job. I gave a short version of what had happened, adding that the twins suggested adding her to our group. There was a pause then Felisha said what she was paid for her last job. I asked if 20% above would work this time. There was a long pause, then Felisha repeated 20% over. I told her I could go as high as 25%. I heard her phone bouncing on the ground at her end. Then the sound of the phone being picked up and Felisha tried to accept the offer, but her voice seemed to not want to work for some strange reason. I handed the phone back to Tia saying to make the arrangements to get the doctor here as soon as possible, adding that she reminder her to pack for a boat ride.
We met Dr. MacGrath ‘call me Lisha’ at a restaurant next to the airport. I was unsure if this was a good idea or if we were rushing into something we might regret later.
To say Lisha was stunning does not begin to describe her. She could compete and destroy a runway model walking the runway in just about anything.
She was wearing short red dress that highlighted the red hair. After everyone was introduced, we had arranged to have appetizers and drinks first then we would have lunch since it was only 10:30 in the morning.
The first thing Lisha did was ask what exactly I or was it we needed. Tia explained how she was hired initially and the very short version of what had happened to our group that brought her into the position. Adding what happened after she joined our group led to adding firearms and that training brought the twins on board.
When Tia realized exactly what our group had expanded to so quickly, she was reminded of the last job she did with the twins and that reminded her of you as you were also part of that team.
Lisha commented that she remembered that job because of how bad it went and how fast it went there. The twins both commented under their breath but loud enough that everyone heard them, Bee said, “No shit” Dee said, “FUBAR with a capital F” that made me ask for an explanation.
Lisha quickly gave the explanation saying, the job was protecting a diplomat that had been working with two countries on a peace agreement. They had been fighting for several years, and she was critical in the final stages of the peace agreement. The problem was she became pregnant and was having complications. That is why Lisha was there, the twins and Tia were some of the most medically trained operators available, that is why they were there. Then the attempted assassination happened and the only people who did not get shot were the four of them.
Tia interrupted saying she got shot in the chest, but her body armor protected her except for the bruised sternum and difficulty breathing. Bee reminded her that she stress-fractured her wrist bracing both her and the diplomat falling when the diplomat was shot.
Dee said that they only had to hold off all the attackers for what was it four or five hours before the Marines arrived. Both Tia and Lisha said at the same time, “it was less than two hours!”
I said that it sounded like they all work well together and that is something I thought would make this a successful job.
All four looked at each other, then Lisha flat out asked if it was going to be as great as it sounded.
The twins said they had only recently joined the chaos and could not give a definitive answer but added that it had been great so far.
Tia said that she would not have called on them if it was not a great opportunity.
Lisha took a moment, appearing to be thinking about it. Then looking at Tia, Bee, and Dee, she said if this turns out to be anything like the last time, we were together, I will skin you all and roll you in salt.
I said if anything like that happens and I survive I will help you! All of the females laughed and began hugging each other.
Then I threw a curve ball into things as I had discovered the saying humans used and found it to be perfect for this situation.
I asked if everyone had their bags packed and with them. Lisha was the only one as she brought her stuff as instructed. I laughed and said I would have it sent to our home with all of the stuff from the penthouse which was currently being packed to be shipped to the house. I had contacted Milton and asked him to put everything in the garage.
Then I told all the females we were going to the private airport gate our flight was waiting.
When questioned about all their stuff I simply said I would handle it. I had the AI check out CS&S Sailing and found the business to be huge, really huge as in multiple businesses and private airline was one, so I thought up this little idea.
The AI had discovered the Black Card. A credit card that either did not have a limit or had such a high limit that nobody questioned its use. The other thing my AI discovered is that these credit cards rarely, if ever, had any inquiries about any money transactions involving them. So, this was the perfect solution to my money issue. And what better way to begin a vacation than to play the filthy rich guy role.
The background story of being in trades, stocks, money, and such played right into this role.
Our pilot and co-pilot were husband and wife Steve and Susan, the S&S owners in the company. They were great and the flight was awesome; we landed in Florida around 3 pm and were driven straight to the yacht sailboat whatever we were supposed to call it. It looked 200 feet long and had multiple levels. The crew were professional and very friendly.
The females were still in shock and finally asked what they were supposed to do for clothing and other essentials. I said that we were not leaving until tomorrow after breakfast. I had been asked to join Steve and Susan at their home for breakfast once I explained what I wanted to do when I arranged the flight and confirmed the boat.
This played into allowing me to take the females shopping which I was learning was one of the most enjoyable things females get to do!
