Chapter 34

Erotica Sex Story: Chapter 34 - Edward Sheffield took a promotion no one else wanted. Transplanted indefinitely from New England to the Philippines, he's got a struggling branch office to salvage and a whole new world to navigate. He didn't expect the help to come in the form of a bratty maid, a mechanic whose smarts are matched only by her curves, and a smoky driver with trust issues. But Manila has a way of surprising people. Especially those who think they're beyond surprises.

“I don’t answer questions,” I said for the umpteenth time.

Handcuffed to a metal table in a tiny room with a one-way mirror, I faced a pair of aggressive cops. Only one of them was able to speak English coherently, despite some level of fluency in the language being near ubiquitous in big cities like Manila.

Whatever tactic they’d been hoping to employ, it seemed that I was frustrating them.

“You don’t seem to understand your position, Sheffield,” the English-speaking one said, his voice a low growl. “Sexual exploitation and sexual extortion are not crimes we take lightly. Especially when foreigners,” he said the word with enough disgust that I believed he might not like me, “commit them.”

I continued to sit quietly, doing my best to keep my demeanor completely neutral.

He hit the table, causing a racket as the wobbly thing rattled. “That’s not to mention the bribery, embezzlement, and insider trading. You’re not going to a cushy American prison, Sheffield. We’re going to put you away for a long time, and we know how degenerates like you should be treated.”

I laughed.

His partner slammed both his palms onto the table and yelled something in his native language. He stopped being able to startle me with that move the third time he pulled it. This was the eighth or ninth now.

“What’s so funny, Sheffield?” the other asked once his partner’s tirade was over. “You think I’m bluffing?”

“I don’t answer questions.”

He grabbed me by the collar and pulled me over the table until his face was right next to mine. “It doesn’t matter how rich you are, you piece of shit. We’ve got you dead to rights and—”

The interphone screeched, then communicated something in Tagalog. The cop let go of me and pushed me back onto my rickety, uncomfortable chair. They left the room without another word, though both threw me the stink eye before going.

Several minutes later, a very sweaty Baluyot, the lawyer I was retaining for Tala’s brother, entered the room. I wasn’t sure how long I’d been at the station for, but certainly over two hours. Enough time for Baluyot to hurry from Manila, at least.

“What did you tell them?” he asked in perfectly fluent English with a British accent.

“So when you wouldn’t speak English last time, it was just to fuck with me?”

He’d only spoken Tagalog when I last saw him. I’d only spoken with the man through either Rosita or Mayu, and even now Tala was his point of contact.

He simply stared at me, unamused, sitting down and pulling out a sheaf of papers which he examined. “What did you tell them?” he eventually said.

“That I don’t answer questions.”

“And only that?”

I nodded.

“Good. You’ve been accused of a litany of crimes, mostly sexual and financial in nature,” he said. “The sexual accusations were anonymous, but your alleged crimes against Texas Instruments are under the accusations of one Adam Johanson and one John Roberts. Both colleagues of yours.”

Roberts was involved too, then. Well, that was ultimately a good thing, because the media nuke I unleashed was definitely going to catch him in the radius of destruction. If it hadn’t already.

“Your company’s lawyers have begun to take action against you, but they’ve become deadlocked by...” He narrowed his eyes at me from over his documents. “ ... several back-to-back scandals that conveniently hit the headlines of several national and local news organizations. Including one which saw the head of the Texas Instruments legal department, Ezekiel Souza, arrested for fraud. I’m sure you know nothing about that, though.”

I only smiled. His eyes shifted back to his papers.

“As a result, Roberts, Johanson, Souza and several others have been placed under arrest.” The man selected some of the documents and placed them on the table before going back to his reading. “This was performed over the heads of local police departments, under the orders of the Prosecutor General himself. Someone has friends in high places...”

I chuckled. He didn’t seem amused.

“I’ve heard that there is solid evidence for their crimes. It was collected by an investigative journalist, Angelo ‘Gallo’ Ramos.” He scrutinized me again, only to find the same pleasant smile. “Many other outlets released ... less solid evidence. But more outrageous. The public is in quite an uproar. A fortunate coincidence, I’m sure.”

“This all makes the truth of the accusations against you somewhat dubious in nature.” He cleared his throat and put his papers down. “If your coworkers’ charges are held, I’ll get you out of whatever financial crime charges the state or Texas Instruments choose to leverage against you, if any.”

“And the other charges?” I asked. “Those are somehow even more absurd.”

“The sexual crimes charges are trickier.” He adjusted his reading glasses. “I was able to dig up hearsay that there is video proof of these crimes. Eyewitnesses and victims as well. I don’t know much more yet, but I’ll keep you updated.”

“None of that is real,” I said.

“Reality has little bearing in the proceedings of a court of law, I’m afraid,” the tired lawyer said, heaving as he rose from his seat. “But first things first ... I’ll get you out on bail. Might need electronic monitoring, because you’re a flight risk.”

I nodded. “Understandable. That’d be great, still.”

He turned for the door but paused as he opened it. “Oh, and they’ve subpoenaed your emails and bank details,” he said, turning his head to face me. “Your company has acquiesced and handed everything they have over to the state. We’ll have to see if we can’t get the demand thrown out of court, given the nature of your accusers.”

“There’s nothing untoward there,” I assured him.

“Good to know, but it’s best to fight it anyway. I’ll be right back. Remember, don’t say anything to anyone.”

I nodded, and Baluyot closed the door behind him.

Many long minutes passed in silence as I watched the wall mirror for any trace of movement. It wasn’t like I’d be able to see anything on the other side anyway, but it was a way to pass the time.

Baluyot eventually returned, flanked by policemen. He explained the situation as the men uncuffed me and I was taken to be fitted with an ankle monitor. I was going to be escorted back to the Manila police department, then be escorted home.

Baluyot, a saint, even got me to be able to drive myself there, though I’d be escorted by two cruisers the whole way.

On the way out of the department, Tala and Paz joined us. They were very reserved, though they smiled and said that Baluyot, the absolute hero, managed to get them and the Kia in here as well. They already knew we would be driving to Manila.

Minutes later, we three were alone in the Kia, with a cruiser in front we were supposed to follow and one behind, tailing us. Baluyot would be driving back by himself.

“So,” I said, laying down on the back seat, as soon as we started to pick up speed toward home, “what’s happened since I got arrested?”

“A lot,” Paz, our driver, said. “A whole hell of a lot.”

“Everyone is talking about the Texas Instruments scandal,” Tala said from the passenger seat. “Scandals. With an ‘s,’ I guess. A lot of people got arrested.”

“Gallo’s thing came through as a special segment in the national news, as planned,” Paz added. “That was just the spark though.”

“Yeah,” Tala said. “Then, news of your arrest started coming out. Then a lot of crimes started getting broadcast by everyone. And the Prosecutor General got involved.”

“Was that Mrs. Rosita?” Paz asked.

“Yep.” Rosita came through like no mother-in-law ever had. God, what a woman. “She talked to him for me.”

“Okay, so that explains why she was on the news too,” Paz said.

“What?”

“The sex pest stuff you’re accused of?” Tala said, turning around to look at me. “There’s video from the apartment. I don’t know how they got it, but it’s kind of innocent. The worst cut is you going into Mayu’s room when the girls were in there, then all of you coming out together, but showered.”

Ah, shit. That was just after I’d decided to ban sex in the apartment. The last foursome we had. Fuck.

“I totally heard all that, by the way,” Tala admitted. “But the videos don’t have sound, thank god.”

“Still, it’s not good.”

“Yeah, but it showed Luz as well,” Paz said. “And that set Mrs. Rosita off. She shit all over the people who ran that story, calling them liars and libelers, said she was going to sue and announced—on national TV by the way—that you’re planning to get married to Luz in five months.”

“Okay ... not ideal...” I said, cringing. “Speaking of, how’re Luz and Mayu?”

“Uh...” Tala hesitated.

“What?” I asked. Both were silent for a beat. I sat up with a start. “What?! What happened?”

“They’re okay,” Paz assured me. “It’s just ... some stuff happened. They’re being held in sanctuary in the US embassy.”

“What?! Why?! How?!”

“It’s a long story,” Tala said with a sigh.

“Well, then get to telling it!”

“They’re safe now,” Tala insisted. “We talked to them after it was over. They didn’t even get hurt or anything. It was more of a scare.”

My heart rate calmed a couple BPM. “Right ... but I still want to know.”

“So,” Paz said. “Here’s what Mayu told me happened...”

Mayu gently kissed Luz’s quivering pussy lips. She playfully nipped and sucked as her cousin squirmed and squealed on the floor. Mayu lowered her own hips nearer Luz’s mouth, who picked up the hint and started to lick it.

[This didn’t happen.]

[It’s what she told me.]

[Did she actually, though?]

[Yes.]

[It definitely didn’t happen.]

[How do you know?]

[Luz is wearing the chastity belt. I told her to put it on and wait for me to come back. On Wednesday night.]

[Mayu didn’t mention it.]

[Because she doesn’t know it’s there.]

[Just let me tell the story.]
