Chapter 16

Erotica Sex Story: Chapter 16 - Edward Sheffield took a promotion no one else wanted. Transplanted indefinitely from New England to the Philippines, he's got a struggling branch office to salvage and a whole new world to navigate. He didn't expect the help to come in the form of a bratty maid, a mechanic whose smarts are matched only by her curves, and a smoky driver with trust issues. But Manila has a way of surprising people. Especially those who think they're beyond surprises.

The following day went quite well. I fucked a sleepy Luz as soon as I woke up, got my gym time in, greeted a peppier-than-usual Paz and a satisfied, if tired-looking, Mayu, ate a delicious breakfast made by my favorite maid, and left for work with my driver and guest in tow.

After being dropped off, I put my nose to the grindstone once again. At nine sharp, I got an email from Tala, and minutes later she was in my office. I sent all the relevant information to HR and we got to work.

Tala was a godsend, really. Not only did she help immensely with sifting through the mountains of data, whenever I asked a question that no one knew how to answer in a meeting, she piped up with exactly the information I needed.

Hopefully the rest of them would take a cue from her and actually come to me with useful information from now on. I had little hope of that ever coming about. Lunch came and went. Mayu showed up with my food again, though Tala was with me, which caused her to start awkwardly apologizing. Tala quietly told her it was fine. They went back and forth with that until Mayu fled, leaving Tala red in the face and sneaking glances at me.

She got over it, though, and we kept working ‘til five, when I had to insist she leave. She didn’t want to break our rhythm, but I didn’t want to have to explain to HR why I needed Tala to have all the overtime in the world. It ended with me getting her private number and her telling me not to hesitate to contact her whenever I needed her for anything at all.

Very suggestive, but it was pretty clear she meant anything work-related, though. Uncharacteristically, I found myself leaving only an hour and a half after the shift was over without feeling I had done too little.

Though Tala was amazing, she wasn’t a miracle worker. We were having trouble with the numbers. Specifically, material quality as it pertained to supplier dependability. I arranged for several meetings with our experts to try and untangle that particular web, but something about the numbers was nagging at me ... I just couldn’t figure out what.

Mayu was spooked when I opened the Phantom’s door, not expecting me so early, but the way home was otherwise uneventful. I spent the evening with the girls, and we helped Mayu move in properly. She didn’t have much more than a backpack of personal items and a couple armfuls of black clothes, so it was just one trip to move that from Paz’s apartment.

Speaking of the apartment, it really was a shithole. Mayu hadn’t been exaggerating. It was cramped, falling apart and not in a particularly good neighborhood. She didn’t have much in there either. Fewer clothes than Mayu, and not much more beyond basic needs.

That was an issue for later, though. With Mayu getting situated in her room, we needed to think about furniture and such. Luz had been complaining that all our home appliances were ancient husks of junk, after all, so I figured I’d replace everything. Mrs. Gallardo was unlikely to complain since I planned on doing it at my own expense.

After that, we hung out for a bit talking about possible renovations to the apartment and wishlisting new additions. As usual, we fucked after dinner and went to sleep.

So went the next couple of days as we settled into our new routines. I also started practicing my knots with my newfound free time in the evenings, which got both Mayu and Luz very excited.

Paz joined us again on Friday, but only briefly. The girls all left to stay the night at the Gallardos an hour before dinner. We were going to move Luz in on Saturday, and she wanted to get her things ready so she could be all moved in by noon, and then we could spend the rest of the day shopping.

Mayu didn’t want to go, but Luz didn’t want to so much as hint at the true nature of her new relationship with her cousin, or her cousin’s with me. She had to go along to make sure Mrs. Gallardo didn’t put two and two together. Eventually she’d need to be told, but even Paz agreed that now was probably not the best time.

I took the time to catch up on emails and charge up for tomorrow while the girls texted me and sent naughty pictures. After a brief good night call from Luz and Mayu, I hit the hay and was out immediately. And it was a good thing I did, because I woke up to banging at my door sooner than expected.

“Edward! You forget phone off?!” Mrs. Gallardo shouted from my door. “We here already!”

I blearily got up, searching for my phone. Shit, I forgot to charge it after talking to the girls. I quickly plugged it in to the power, threw on a shirt, and made my way to the door.

“Edward! Come on, boy!” Mrs. Gallardo shouted, banging all the while.

“I’m going!” I shouted, followed by a muttered, “Jesus Christ...”

“Boy, this why you need woman,” Mrs. Gallardo said as I let them in.

“I certainly appreciate the help,” I said tiredly. A quick glance behind the old matriarch revealed an apologetic Luz, an irritated Mayu, and a wryly smiling Paz.

They were all carrying boxes. Luz led the troupe past me to her room.

“Is there more downstairs?” I asked Mayu as she passed by.

“Yep,” she said. “A bunch.”

“We came on the Phantom,” Paz added. “You can start unloading the rest, we’ll be right down.”

With a nod, I headed to my parking spots. The Phantom was indeed filled with even more stuff. Clothes, pillows, blankets, knick-knacks. Twenty-five years of living. I started moving everything next to the elevator to make things easier. Once the others joined me, Mrs. Gallardo took over the coordination role while the girls and I moved the stuff around.

After getting it all up to the penthouse, we started unpacking. It was gonna take a while, but we got to work without complaint.

Moving Mayu in had been infinitely easier. She’d only needed a closet. Luz, on the other hand, needed two, plus a place to put her shoes, shelves for books, and a place to store her painting supplies. She also wanted better blinds, to change the room’s color scheme, and a table for her computer.

We wouldn’t be unloading everything today, in other words, since we lacked the appropriate furniture, but even doing what we could took time.

In the midst of the tumult, Mrs. Gallardo cornered me away from the others.

“So,” she started. I still hadn’t realized the trap, so I innocently turned to look at her instead of running away. “Is one week. What you think?”

“You were right, of course,” I said. “Having Luz around has been incredibly helpful. Between the time I save from not having to deal with domestic problems and the excellent food she makes, I have no complaints.”

“Mm-hmm,” she hummed. “I teach her cook myself. Very good.”

“My sincere thanks,” I said with a smile.

“And you hire Mayumi as driver?”

“Luz mentioned she was a good driver and was looking for work,” I lied. “I was a bit skeptical at first, but she’s surprisingly professional. She dresses and acts the part while on the job. She only occasionally takes my car on joyrides, and I get to not have to drive in Manila. It’s a win-win.”

She hummed again. “I glad you take Mama’s advice. I hope you remember too the one I gave last time.”

You break, you buy. “Uh, I suppose I do?”

“So, when you gonna buy?” she asked, still perfectly calm.

Luz had explicitly said that she wanted to be the one to talk to her mother about this. Had she already, though? No, she would’ve mentioned it. Lying wouldn’t help now ... I could only hope that being vague worked and Mrs. Gallardo was just fishing.

“We haven’t talked about that yet,” I said. “It’s a very important decision for Luz, and I want her to make it without pressure.”

She closed in. Though physically diminutive, Mrs. Gallardo had a presence that seemed to loom over me. “Is not very important decision to you?”

“Of course it is,” I said. “But if you asked me a hundred times, I would say yes a hundred times. And if she said no, I would gladly fight you on this, damn the consequences.”

She narrowed her eyes, glaring through thin slits at me.

“And Mayumi,” she said. “You gonna buy that too?”

“Mayumi has a girlfriend.”

“You sure you wanna bring her up now?”

What did Mrs. Gallardo know?

“I’m not sure what you mean to imply,” I said.

“You not know, hmm?” she said, turning her head toward a noise, which was followed by Mayu swearing in Tagalog.

“You will marry my daughter, Edward,” she finally said after a long silence. “But for now ... she happy. Is enough.” She turned back to me. “For now. Think very careful what you do in future. You not afraid enough of me, and I hope you never have to be.”

She turned around and walked away but stopped at the doorway.

“I no care if you greedy. But make my daughter cry and I kill you.”

After that she made an excuse about having to go and left the four of us to finish setting up. I waited until we were done for the morning and told the girls during lunch, while all four of us were around the table.

“So she knows everything, then,” Paz said, chewing on the inside of her cheek.

“She’s bluffing,” Mayu said. “Auntie’s smart, but she doesn’t have any evidence.”

“If I figured out you were fucking, so can she,” Paz countered.

“You had information she doesn’t,” I said. “Unless someone told her something she shouldn’t know.”

“We didn’t,” Luz said, voice quiet as she pushed her food around. “Mama’s smart and we weren’t hiding it well, that’s all.”

“Whatever,” Mayu said, pouting with her arms crossed.
