Changing Times

Author’s note: I am humbled by the high ratings of Lennie and Samantha, my first-ever story. There is a second part written, but instead, I chose to write this one, an additional middle story that attempts to evolve the characters. Hopefully I did. This story is complete, and I will be publishing a new chapter a few days later. As usual, any comments are appreciated. I also want to thank my editor, Twins56. What an amazing talent! I wish I had her skill of making a story so much better by her changes and fixes; she is the best.

This story was written assuming the reader has not read the original “Lennie and Samantha.” Minimal parts of the first couple of chapters have recapped events and are added here to give the reader enough background to help the story make sense. However, many details from the first story are skipped to keep this story on track. Of course, reading the first story, or at least the first four to six chapters of it, gives you a better understanding of the characters and how they have become who and what they are.
