I was correct, Wana was from the same litter as Laya and their other triplet Masa was one of the four other Lynx females currently being held captive. Laya said she would answer any questions and tell the whole story once we rescued the others.
I agreed and Wana preferred to ride behind Laya instead of riding on her own horse. This allowed us to ride hard and fast toward the encampment. To say we surprised them doesn’t even come close to what we encountered as we stormed into the middle of their camp.
The eight men were all in fact sitting or in the case of two standing around the campfire laughing and joking about what they were going to do to the runaway. The crashing thunder of all of our horses charging into the middle of their camp was overwhelming to say the least. The four Lynx females all fainted. The two idiots standing fell backward onto their ass. One of the dumbshits sitting tried to jump up and run only to trip over one of the standing guys who fell in his path.
Laya did her leap from the moving horse thing again but this time she did three rolls which put her right at the four Lynx females drawing her hatchets in a very imposing stance of protections. Musu climbed down once the horse stopped near Laya and began to wake the others.
When the idiots started to draw weapons Gogon said loudly but not a shout, “Kill them all!” it was quick and merciful but probably very painful and over faster than what it took Gogon to say.
Laya introduced Masa who looked almost exactly like Laya and Wana. Masa introduced the other three Lynx females, Tiki, Lolo, and Rebe it was obvious they were not litter mates. Masa chose to be the spokesperson for the Lynx females and described almost like bullet comments what happened.
We would get the complete detailed story back at our village.
BLUF – bottom line up front – these dead men and two other groups had attacked their clan killing all the males, and all the elderly and sick, only taking females and children. They broke up into three different groups and departed in three different directions.
Laya said just as the three groups split into different directions was when she was able to escape. She had planned to rescue her litter mates and the others in her group. Then they all could track down all the others together.
Laya met me before she could make a rescue attempt and we knew everything else.
I turned to Gogon and before I could say anything he held up his hand and said he was not stupid and figured we knew each other because of the way we acted when seeing each other that first time.
He continued saying that I had proven myself loyal to the village more times than anyone else in the village and figured I would tell my true tale when I felt it was the right time.
I just nodded my head to which he smiled and nodded back.
Kaalaa then said looking me straight in the eyes “The first night after evening meal once we are back at the village!”
I nodded to her and she just crossed her arms under her breasts and kind of hmphed at me.
Etla moved next to me and said, “As Kaalaa has said!” and just stared at me.
So I nodded to her and seeing she was still staring at me I added, “YES, my loving mate!”
Etla finally nodded at me and moved next to Kaalaa. Both looking like the cat that ate the canary.
We took off the restraints which were the same as what Wana had on except they all also had restraints on their ankles these had a short strap between them about a foot long allowing only short shuffling steps.
Laya threw all the restraints including the ones we had taken off of Wana into the fire and everyone from our group cheered all four of the Lynx female just stared.
There really wasn’t anything worth taking from the dead men’s stuff, old hides, dirty worn blankets, even their camp items were the old animal skin stomach cooking bag and wood planks to eat off of.
We gave the new Lynx’s women brief instruction on riding the horses and paired them with a couple to watch over them as we rode back to the village.
As I feared we were back well before the evening meal and I was escorted to the river to bathe then escorted to dinner like a condemned man.
My saving grace was Masa stood and introduced the others to the village. Gogon then stood and asked all of them to stand. Once they all were standing Gogon asked Masa if she wished to join our village. Masa was obviously shocked but after looking to Laya and seeing her nodding YES answered ‘Yes, she would truly love joining our village.’ Gogon shouted Masa new member of the village!
The entire village stood and shouted, “MASA NEW MEMBER OF THE VILLAGE!”
Gogon then turned to Wana and asked if she wished to join the village. Wana quickly said YES and Gogon shouted Wana new member of the village. Still standing the entire village repeated their shout.
Gogon did this for Tiki, Lolo, and Rebe and the village stayed standing and shouted just as loud for each and everyone of the Lynx females.
Gogon then told Masa she could continue her tale.
Everyone laughed as they sat down excited to hear their story.
- The Lynx’s story –
Their clan was not a big one but had several different families. A family usually had one and very rarely two males (the only times this happened was when it was twin males) each male would normally mate with three or four females usually all from the same litter or family. Since females usually have three kits in a litter (when both are lynx otherwise it is twins or a single kit) and there was one family with two male twins who mated with two sets of triplets and one pair and one single female for a total of nine females.
The humans entered peacefully acting as trader and merchants interested in both buying and selling.
When the raiders attacked the traders and merchants attacked from within as most of the defenders were focused on the attacking raiders. When everyone realized the traders and merchants were part of the attack it was too late.
