Alan let the silence stretch, heavy and unbroken. The room seemed to shrink in on itself, the air thickening until it pressed against their skin, as though the words forming in his throat might snap something that could never be mended. When he finally spoke, his voice was low, almost reluctant, as if he were afraid of the sound it would make in the stillness.
“And if we refuse?”
Madison turned her head toward him. Her eyes met her brother’s with nothing held back—no filter, no softening. She stayed quiet, but her body tightened all at once, every muscle locking as if she were caught mid-breath, waiting for an answer she already knew would not come from her.
Rebecah closed her eyes for a moment. Only a moment. Long enough for the gesture to feel tired, almost human. When she opened them again, a thin smile curved her lips.
“You really want to play it that way?” she murmured.
She turned to Madison then, and her voice shifted—quieter, more coaxing.
“Madi ... tell me you understand you don’t have a choice here, hmm?”
Madison lowered her gaze. Her hands twisted together on her thighs, fingers working against each other in small, restless knots. She hesitated, words rising and dying before she finally forced them out:
“What guarantees do we have?”
The silence that followed was short but sharp. Alan glanced sideways, surprise flickering across his face. Rebecah too, for a beat. But instead of closing off or turning cold, she smiled again—this time it was real. Not mocking. Almost ... relieved.
“You’ll just need to sign a contract,” she answered, steady and calm. “A real one. You choose the lawyer. I’ll delete the video. And if I don’t—if I break any part of it—everything I own becomes yours. Every last thing. No arguments.”
She spoke like someone who had already turned the entire arrangement over in her mind a hundred times. No rush. No hidden threat. Just a clean, workable solution. As if she had known this exact question was coming and had prepared the one answer that might let them breathe again.
Alan looked at his sister. Quietly. But Rebecah was right there; there was no pretending she wasn’t. His voice came out low, rough at the edges:
“Are you really okay with this?”
Madison kept her eyes down a little longer. When she finally lifted her head, something had shifted in her face. Resignation sat there, but it was tangled with something else—something darker, more intimate.
“I don’t see another way...” she said softly. “We’ll just have to plan it all out...”
She didn’t add anything more, but she already knew it in her bones. She had accepted. Not completely. Not with any kind of pleasure. But she had accepted. And so had Alan. They both understood it without needing to say the words out loud.
Still, the next question slipped free before she could stop it. Her voice dropped lower, almost reluctant, as if she already regretted letting it out:
“What exactly would it involve, if we accept?”
Rebecah nearly jumped out of her seat. A short, sharp laugh burst from her before she could swallow it back. She stood up fast, hands clasped in front of her like a child who had just been promised a present.
“If we accept, I said!” she called out, eyes bright. She laughed again, softer this time, but the sound hung in the air—far too happy for what they were discussing.
“Ahah!...”
Her gaze moved between them, and there was no doubt left: she had understood. It was going to happen. She was practically salivating. Literally. Her tongue flicked across her lower lip before she even realized she was doing it.
“What would it involve, hmm ... well, a threesome. That’s it.”
Madison blinked. The question had slipped out on its own, and now that she heard it turned back on her, she wondered if she had made a mistake by asking at all.
“So ... we don’t have to follow any directions...?” she murmured, voice uncertain.
Rebecah raised her eyebrows, visibly surprised.
“Now that you mention it...”
Alan shot upright. His voice cracked out, louder than he had meant it to.
“No—you can’t just change the rules like that! Madi, for fuck’s sake, why the hell did you bring that up?!”
The silence that followed was brutal. Madison flinched, turning her face slightly away as if the words had struck her physically. Rebecah tilted her head to the side, still smiling, but calmer now.
“Ohh, it’s fine, relax...” she said softly, the way you soothe a skittish animal.
“Just a threesome, then. No one calling the shots. But everyone fucks everyone else.”
She let the words hang. No directives. No one in charge. Just the three of them, no hierarchy forced on them. Alan and Madison exchanged a quick glance, caught off guard by the apparent fairness. The situation was absurd, disturbing ... and yet they both knew she could have demanded far worse.
She could have asked for much more.
But Rebecah had something else in mind. It showed in the way she watched them now—patient, almost tender.
“Well, since you’ve basically said yes...”
They tried to protest—Alan with a half-formed word, Madison with a small shake of her head—but nothing really came out. Only a thick tension settling into the room like a third presence.
Rebecah continued, unfazed:
“I’m proposing an additional deal. In the meantime, you obey me blindly. You do everything I tell you to do...”
She paused. Her smile spread, slow and radiant, almost beautiful in its perverse sincerity.
“In exchange for money.”
The silence that followed was heavy, almost suffocating. Alan and Madison wanted to rebel.
To say no. To stand up and walk out. But nothing moved.
The offer was too clear. Too concrete.
They both knew she honored her payments—she always had, without exception.
But more than that, this time they weren’t being forced into anything. Or at least, that was what she was letting them believe. And that fragile idea was enough to pin them in place.
Madison felt her throat tighten. She looked at Rebecah, then at her brother, then back at Rebecah. The words slipped out before she could properly weigh them.
“Can we ... talk about it between ourselves?”
Alan turned his head toward her, surprised. He hadn’t expected her to ask that out loud, as if she were still looking for an escape.
Rebecah didn’t give them time to find one.
“Sort it out now,” she said evenly.
