“Todd, what can I do for you?” Kyle replied as he took the call from his agent, Todd Rosenbaum.

“I received a call from the Monster Energy Company,” Todd replied. “They would like you and your son to do some commercials for their product. Does your son, Daniel, have representation of his own or would you like me to handle things for both of you?”

“Danny? A commercial?”

“Actually, they are planning a series of four commercials, featuring you and Daniel,” Todd explained. “Truth be told, Daniel would be the feature actor in the commercials. You would play a supporting role as his father.”

“You’re joking.”

“I am not, Coach,” Todd said. “This is the NIL era.” NIL stands for Name and Image Licensing. The PIAA and NCAA have allowed amateur athletes to earn money licensing their name and image for over a decade.

“Daniel has gone 21-3 over the last two seasons and shares your famous last name,” Todd continued. “Monster thinks he would be an excellent spokesman to entice youth to enjoy their energy drink. They are offering $100,000 to each of you for each commercial you do.”

“My fourteen-year-old son?” Kyle responded. “I am not interested. Not evenly slightly.”

“Are you sure?” Todd asked. “$400,000 for each of you for probably two days of filming. I am sure I can arrange for the shoot to be in Philly too.”

“That is a hard no, Todd,” Kyle repeated. “I would like my son to have as normal a time in high school as I can. He does not need to appear in national commercials or need $400,000 dollars.”

“I will inform the Monster Energy Company that you are not interested,” Todd replied. “I warn you, Coach. This may be the first offer Daniel gets but it will not be the last. Top high school football prospects can make millions. 21-3, accepting a scholarship at Penn State and being a Martin makes your son a top prospect.”

“You may be right,” Kyle responded. “Danny will not be doing NIL commercials or appearances.”

Danny sought out his dad as soon as Kyle stepped in the front door that evening. “You won’t believe this letter I got today from the Monster Energy Company. They want us to do commercials for their drink.”

“The answer is no,” Kyle responded, before he even had time to take off his coat.

“But Dad, it’s $400,000 dollars,” Danny responded. “I could pay for my own college.”

“You already have a full scholarship to Penn State,” Kyle answered. “Tuition, room, board, books, supplies and an NIL stipend. Even if you did not have a scholarship, your mother and I will cover all your college expenses, undergrad and graduate school.”

“But Dad, it would be so cool to be in a commercial,” Danny retorted. “Mom said she would talk it over with you. Can’t you at least consider it?”

“I will discuss it with your mother tonight,” Kyle agreed. “Don’t get any hopes up. I know your mother well enough to know the answer will be a firm no. We try to bring you, your brothers and your sister up like normal people. Normal fourteen-year-olds do not have $400,000 in the bank.”

Kyle spoke with Penny later that evening. He knew her feelings well on bringing up the kids. She was just as adamant as her husband that Danny not do NIL commercials or appearances. They needed to keep his childhood as normal as they could. Danny was disappointed when he was informed of the decision the next morning at breakfast.

“Sometimes it sucks to be a Martin,” Danny groused to his friends at lunch the next day. “I got an offer to earn $400,000 from Monster Energy Drinks for doing some commercials. My parents won’t allow me to do it.”

“$400,000?” Noah McMullen commented. “Think of the great car you could buy with that kind of money.” Mason and Nolan shared their friend’s enthusiasm for the idea.

“You do know that you got offered this opportunity BECAUSE your name is Martin?” Logan observed.

“Sure, go be all logical and responsible and shit,” Danny smirked. “It’s just that having my own money would be nice. Sometimes I want to do nice things for Anna and just don’t have enough cash.”

“Girlfriends are expensive,” Logan agreed. “But worth every penny we spend on them.”

“Yeah, Anna is,” Danny agreed.

Sunday, December 12, 2032 – M&T Stadium, Baltimore, MD

This week featured another bus trip, south this time. Kyle reflected on things as they headed south. He remembered when John Harbaugh coached special teams in Philly when he was a kid. Harbaugh, now longest tenured and the dean of NFL head coaches, was still there. John was sixty-nine but hadn’t lost the fire to coach football.

Kyle remembered being interviewed by Coach Harbaugh in 2013 before the draft. Even then, Kyle could see the man was a top-notch coach. Two Super Bowl championships (2012 and 2026) helped cement his status in the league. The man had won 255 of the 409 games, 62.3% of his games since taking the helm of the Ravens. He flew by Shula, Halas, Belichick and Reid for the most wins by a head coach. They already had the yellow jacket sized for him in Canton, Ohio. He was a lock for the NFL Hall of Fame five years after he retired. The jacket might wait a while, he was still going strong.

Kyle knew the Ravens well, from his six seasons coaching in Pittsburgh. The AFC North was a tough division and the Steelers played the Ravens twice a year, some years a third time in the playoffs. The battles were always bloody and brutal. The Steelers record during Kyle’s tenure with the team was 8-7.

Kyle and Ed Fritz pulled a few tricks from the Steelers bag to try to beat the Ravens, but Harbaugh and his staff had already seen those against the Steelers. The Eagles played hard and managed some good plays but the Ravens were better. The Ravens prevailed 31-28, though it took them a fourth quarter drive to take the lead back and win the game. Aiden Anderson throwing two picks did not help the Eagles cause. It was another long, quiet bus ride back to Philly after the game.

Monday, December 13, 2032 – Jones Residence, West Grove, PA

Mason was doing his morning routine a little before 7:00 AM, which always included taking a dump. Surprisingly, that proved quite painful to the fourteen-year-old. Usually, his dumps were easy in the morning. Mason wiped his bottom and looked down to see if he had dumped an unusually large turd. His face paled when he saw blood in the bowl.

“Mom!” Mason bellowed. “I think I have a problem.”

He pulled up his boxers as he heard her walking to the bathroom.

“What is it?” Sarah Jones asked. Mason explained about how painful it had been to poop that morning and showed her the blood in the toilet bowl. Sarah blanched as she looked at it.

“Take your shower now,” she said. “I think we better get you checked out this morning.”

“Thanks, Mom,” Mason said. Mason showered while Sarah conferred with her husband Kevin. Both agreed that Mason needed to see a doctor soon. They decided she would take him to Urgent Care over in Longwood, since they took walk-in patients. This seemed urgent, but not an emergency requiring an expensive emergency room visit.

Sarah called her work and the school, to let them know she and Mason were heading to the doctors instead of work or school. She got Eli, Mason’s nine-year-old brother on his school bus before they headed east to Longwood and the Urgent Care facility.

Mason and his mom had a forty-five-minute wait until a physician’s assistant was able to see Mason. The PA screened Mason’s symptoms and decided he should see a physician. The Joneses had another twenty-minute wait until he came into the exam room.

“I am Doctor Callahan,” the doctor stated. “Mason, please drop your pants and underwear so I may exam your anal area.”

“Does my mom need to be in here?” Mason asked, blushing.

“I can step outside,” Sarah Jones said. “If that is OK, doctor.”

“That will be fine,” Doctor Callahan replied. “I will call you back in when the embarrassing part of the exam is completed.” Sarah went back to the waiting room.

“Mason, please stand in front of the exam table, bend at the waist and put your chest down on the table.” He did as asked. “Spread your legs wider.” Mason looked back to see the doctor pulling on latex gloves.

“This jell may be cool,” the doctor commented as he lubed up a finger. Mason waited calmly for what he knew came next. He stood stolidly as he felt the doctor slide his finger up into his rectum. The well lubed finger went in more easily than when he took Tucker’s dick up there.

The doctor probed for a moment and then withdrew his finger. He looked at the thin smear of blood and white, mucus like stuff briefly. The doctor reached over and picked up an instrument that was like a hollow tube.

“This is an anoscope, Mason,” Doctor Callahan explained as he lubed the instrument. “This will allow me to view your rectum internally. We will figure out why you are bleeding.”

Mason felt some discomfort as the tool was inserted into his rectum. The doctor did his exam while Mason tried to be nonchalant about this thing up his ass. The exam took a couple minutes. First the doctor used a lighted probe to visually inspect his rectum. After withdrawing it, he used a swab to take a sample from Mason’s rectum. The doctor pulled the anoscope out of Mason’s ass and wiped his bottom clean.

“You may get dressed, Mason,” Doctor Callahan said. While Mason dressed, the doctor asked, “Are you sexually active?”

“Um ... I am,” Mason admitted sheepishly.

“Have you had anal intercourse?”

Mason gulped. “I’m out. My friends and parents know I am gay.”

“Do you use condoms when you engage in sexual intercourse?” Doctor Callahan asked.

“My boyfriend and I were both virgins when we started,” Mason said. “We are exclusive with each other, so we don’t use condoms since neither of us could have an STI.”

“Mmm...” Doctor Callahan hummed noncommittally. “I see. I will have a nurse bring your mother back in and I will go over my findings.”

Sarah Jones rejoined Mason and the doctor a minute. “I observed some open sores within Mason’s rectum. That is the source of the pain and bleeding. The sores also have some discharge. I took a sample of the discharge for testing. We will schedule you for a follow up visit tomorrow afternoon, so I may go over the results of the testing.”

“Is this something serious?” Sarah Jones asked. “Should we be worried?”

“I will not be certain until the testing is done,” Doctor Callahan responded soothingly. “My best guess, is this will be relatively minor, but I cannot be certain until the testing is completed.”

“Can Mason go to school?” Sarah asked. “Would that be safe?”

“That should be fine,” Doctor Callahan responded. He stared sternly at Mason. “No sexual activity until after we have the results back. Is that clear?”

“Uh ... yes, sir,” Mason agreed quickly. Sarah blanched at the warning Mason received. ‘No sexual activities?’ What the...?

Mason and his mom headed outside to the car. She didn’t ask any questions until they were on the road, heading for Avon Grove High School.

“Have you and Tucker been doing something dangerous or risky?” Sarah asked. “When you and he were in bed together? Did something happen this weekend?”

“No, Mom,” Mason replied. “We didn’t even find privacy this weekend to have sex. All we managed was some kissing at the movies Saturday night.”

“Why did the doctor tell you no sexual activities?”

“I have no idea, Mom.”

Tuesday, December 14, 2032 – Urgent Care, Longwood, PA

A nurse conducted Mason and his mom back to an exam room soon after they arrived for their late afternoon appointment. Mason and his mom were seated on the chairs beside the exam table. Doctor Callahan stepped into the room about five minutes later.

“That test confirmed what I suspected yesterday,” Doctor Callahan stated evenly. “Mason, you have contracted a sexually transmitted infection, chlamydia.” Both Mason and his mom paled at the news.

“Chlamydia is easily treated with a course of anti-biotics,” Doctor Callahan continued. “I am going to prescribe two weeks of doxycycline for you. Which pharmacy do you use?”

Sarah Jones told the doctor. He entered the prescription into the computer at the desk and sent it off.

“Could Mason have been exposed to any other sexually transmitted diseases when he got chlamydia?” Sarah asked.

“He could have but did not,” Doctor Callahan responded. “The lab tested for all the common STIs when they tested Mason’s sample. He is clear for HIV/AIDS, syphilis, herpes, gonorrhea and HPV.”

“That is good,” Sarah said.

Doctor Callahan gave Mason a stern look. “Chlamydia is one of the more common STIs teens get exposed to if they practice unprotected sex. It is critical that you take the full two weeks of anti-biotics, even if your symptoms have disappeared. You may not have sex until you have completed the full course of anti-biotics. No tongue kissing, no oral sex and no anal sex. Is that clear?”

“Yes, sir,” Mason responded.

“Mason, how many sexual partners have you had?” Doctor Callahan asked.

“You mentioned oral,” Mason asked. “Do you need to know about those partners too?”

“Yes, if you had oral sex with them in the last sixty days,” Doctor Callahan responded.

“Well, then it is just one person in the last sixty days,” Mason answered.

“Mrs. Jones, you should probably contact the parents of Mason’s partner and warn them they he likely infected with chlamydia too.”

“That will be a fun conversation,” Sarah noted.

“Mason, I strongly urge you to use condoms in the future,” Doctor Callahan stated. “If you are being honest with me that you had a single partner in the last sixty days, your partner is not being honest with you. He has had sexual relations with someone who is infected with chlamydia.”

“Thank you for your help, doctor,” Sarah Jones said as they left.

When Mason and his mom were in the car heading back home, Mason asked, “How could Tucker cheat on me? The doctor may not have been sure I was only with one guy lately, but I sure as hell ... uh, heck know I only slept with Tucker. How could he do this?”

“I don’t know, honey,” Sarah responded. “I just don’t know.”

After dinner, Sarah Jones called the Longeneckers. “Hi Tom,” she said when Tucker’s dad answered the phone.

“Sarah, are our horny teens trying to line up another sleepover?” Tom laughed. Both families knew their sons were gay and a sleepover was a euphemism for ‘let’s get together for sex.’

“I am sure they would like another sleepover,” Sarah responded. “This call is not about that. Mason found blood in his bowel movement a couple days ago. The doctor tested him and found he has rectal chlamydia. That’s a sex...”

“I know what chlamydia is,” Tom responded. “Are you accusing my son of giving your son this disease?”

“I am not accusing anyone,” Sarah replied, peeved at Tom’s assumption but trying to keep the call civil. “We both know how secretive teens can be. All I am doing is warning you that Tucker has been exposed to chlamydia, should get tested and get treatment, if it is needed.”

“Sorry for losing it for a second, Sarah,” Tom replied. “I guess I am still learning how to deal with a teenager. Tucker is our oldest.”

“I fully understand,” Sarah said. “Mason’s little brother is nine, so I have another eleven years of dealing with teenagers.”

“They are challenging,” Tom said.

“I know you prefer Tucker not to get phone calls on school nights,” Sarah said. “I think tonight may be a time for an exception to that rule. I think Mason and Tucker need to talk about this. One of them has an apology to make to the other for this mess.”

“That would be fine,” Tom allowed.

“Hi, Mason,” Tucker said as he answered his boyfriend’s call later that evening. “My dad told me you would be calling.”

“Yeah, I guess he gave you the news?” Mason responded.

“You have an STI,” Tucker said.

“Yeah, chlamydia,” Mason confirmed. “I wonder how I got that,” he added, pointedly.

“Um ... yeah ... about that,” Tucker stammered.

“I’ve only slept with one person ... you.”

“Um ... yeah ... well, a few weeks ago my buddy Dom dragged me to this party ... see,” Tucker stuttered. “You remember Dom from my birthday party. You were camping and so I went with Dom and his brother. I had some beers ... and well ... this girl I’ve known since kindergarten asked me to dance, see ... and well...”

“Go on,” Mason insisted.

“I was really drunk and we started kissing and...” Tucker sputtered. “She took me upstairs and had sex with me. She’s got a reputation for jumping just anybody who has a dick.”

“So, you had sex with this slut, caught chlamydia and then gave it to me?”

“Um ... pretty much, yeah,” Tucker admitted. “I was really drunk. I am so sorry, Mason.”

“Apology noted,” Mason replied coldly.

“Can you forgive me?”

“I don’t know,” Mason responded. “You cheated on me and got me infected with an STI. This hurts me like you would not believe.”

“But you’re still my boyfriend, right?” Tucker asked. “I love you so much, Mason.”

“I don’t know,” Mason stated before clicking to end the call.

Wednesday, December 15, 2032 – NovaCare Complex, Philadelphia, PA

Hannah Stillwell spotted Colin Weaver across the cafeteria and headed his way. “Hey, Hannah!” Colin said cheerily as she approached him. He fondly remembered the night they spent together last month, celebrating his game-winning touchdown from earlier in the day. It had been a hell of a lot of fun. He felt a little guilty about not asking Hannah out since that night but things were so damned busy right now.

“Good to see you,” Colin added. Both were carrying their trays of dinner.

“Can we sit down somewhere private and talk?” Hannah asked.

“Yeah ... sure, what’s up?” Colin asked as the two walked to the far end of the room, away from most of the players and team staff. They sat down opposite each other at the table.

Hannah mustered her courage, swallowed hard and stated, “There is no easy way to say this, Colin. I am late.”

“Late? Late for what?”

“Late for my period,” Hannah said, her voice just a bit colder. “Last month ... when we ... well, you know. My period didn’t come two weeks later, like expected.” The color from Colin’s face drained away.

“Am I the only possible father?” Colin stuttered, still trying to take in this news.

“You are the last guy I slept with since a guy a couple weeks before we did it,” Hannah replied. “My evening with him was with protection only a couple days after my period ended. You are the only possibility for the father.”

“OK,” Colins said, taking a deep breath. “Oh ... kay.” After a few seconds pause, he asked, “How are you? Are you doing all right?”

“Physically, I am fine,” Hannah responded, slightly surprised at Colin’s response. She had expected denial or something more dramatic than ‘OK.’

“No morning sickness or anything, yet.”

“That’s good,” Colin responded. “You are certain you are pregnant? A doctor confirmed this?”

“I have an appointment for Friday morning,” Hannah answered. “I took a home pregnancy test twice. Both times indicated I was pregnant. This far after the unprotected sex, positive results are nearly always correct.”

“What’s next after the doctor confirms this?” Colin asked.

“I’m not sure,” Hannah admitted. “Can I stay on the squad if I am pregnant? I’ll be fine for the last few games this year. What happens in seven months when I blow up to the size of a whale? Our practices start in June. Can I do this? This is a terrible time for me to get pregnant.”

“Yeah, I get that,” Colin said. “I am responsible. I will do whatever you need in the way of help. Is Friday’s doctor visit covered? I can pay for that, if you need me to.”

“I am still on my parents’ insurance while I am in grad school,” Hannah answered. “Thank you for offering, though.” Colin was a little surprised. He did not remember she was going to grad school.

“I am on the hook,” Colin responded. “For as much as the next eighteen years, I am on the hook. You need money, I’ll help. You need a ride somewhere; I am there for you. I’ll help however I can. Have you decided whether you are going through with this?”

“Do I have a choice?”

“You do ... and I will support whatever choice you make but...” Colin said, his voice lowering, “ ... I hope you don’t choose abortion. You know my history from the papers last year. I am the result of billionaire Andrew Martin hooking up with my mom when he was a teen. My mom could have aborted me and her husband would never have been the wiser. I am a small-town kid from south central Pennsylvania where most people are pretty conservative. We don’t really care much for abortion.”

“I’m Catholic,” Hannah answered. “I may not follow every guideline from the church. I am fine with birth control.” She chuckled. “Except when I get carried away and a little drunk. Anyway, I do agree with the church on the sanctity of life. I will be carrying this baby to term.”

“Whatever you need, Hannah,” Colin pledged. “I will be there for you. Cover some bills, I will. Take you to appointments, I am there. Be with you when the child we conceived is born. I will be there.”

“That is comforting to know,” Hannah replied.

“Will you be here at NovaCare later on Friday?” Colin asked. “Maybe you can let me know how the doctor’s visit went.”

“You guys are in Phoenix for Sunday’s game,” Hannah explained. “I won’t be back here until next Tuesday evening’s practice.”

“Let’s exchange phone numbers,” Colin said. “Call or text me when you get news from the doctor. I want to know where things stand.” The two exchanged information and agreed to talk later Friday.

Hannah headed to her evening practice more than a little surprised about how calmly and cooperatively Colin had taken the news. She wasn’t the first cheerleader on the team to get pregnant. Her first season with the team, three years ago, Shawna Green, a cute, African-American cheerleader had gotten involved with one of the team’s wide receivers. The bastard denied everything afterward and had been a real asshole. Hannah shed no tears when Kyle Martin came to town and cleaned house and sent the prima donna receiver packing.

Colin did not seem anything like that guy. That was part of why she finally accepted his fourth request for a date last month. And why she ended up in his bed in South Jersey and was in this bind too. Hopefully her impressions of Colin Weaver weren’t wrong. She did not want to be alone as she raised this baby growing in her womb.

Colin did some video study after he finished dinner. The whole thing weighed on him. He went by the coaches’ offices before he headed home. Coach Martin’s light was still on. He poked his head in the doorway.

“Got a minute, Uncle Kyle,” Colin asked.

“Ah, not about football?” Kyle laughed as he waved him in. “What can I do for my oldest nephew?”

“Well, I kind of screwed up last month,” Colin said. “I did a one-night stand with this girl and things got carried away. She told me earlier this evening that she is pregnant.”

“Is she a gold digger type?” Kyle asked. “Is she after your fame and money.”

“Uncle Kyle, I’m a seventh-round draft pick,” Colin laughed. “I don’t attract a lot of gold diggers.”

“The league minimum salary is what, $1.8 million for a second-year player like you?” Kyle asked. “That isn’t chicken feed.”

“I pursued her for a month to go on a date with me,” Colin explained. “She did not come looking for me.”

“And yet, you took her out and made a one-night stand of the date,” Kyle said. “How gentlemanly of you.”

“It wasn’t exactly like that, Uncle Kyle,” Colin retorted. “I like the girl and wanted to date her some more, but you know how crazy our schedule gets in-season. Her’s is worse, if anything. She a full-time grad student and is on our cheerleading squad too. You know how busy they are.”

“Ah, the plot thickens,” Kyle laughed.

“What is the right thing to do?” Colin asked. “Marry her? I know you got Aunt Penny pregnant and you married her. Is that what I should do?”

“Penny and I are not a great example,” Kyle answered. “We were engaged and had the wedding scheduled before I got her pregnant. Do you know Uncle Will’s, my half-brother Will’s, back story?”

“Not exactly, other than your mom has been married twice and he is from the first marriage,” Colin answered.

“Mom went to a high school party, got drunk and ended up in bed with Will’s father,” Kyle explained. “My mother’s parents are quite conservative and there was only one solution to the problem. My mom had to marry Will’s father. The marriage was a disaster. Thank God my dad was around to help Mom pick up the pieces when they broke up.”

“I’ve only talked with Will a few times,” Colin said. “I did not know this story. So, what should I do? Marry the girl or not?”

“Do you love her?” Kyle asked. “Are you ready to make a commitment to love and keep her for the rest of your life?”

“I don’t know her that well.”

“Don’t marry her then,” Kyle replied. “Follow Andy’s ... your biological father’s example. Marriage was suggested when Andy knocked up Crystal but he would not have it. He was right too. Andy did help Crystal throughout her pregnancy and he has been there for Noah and Connor every day since they were born. You could do worse than to follow Andy’s example.”

“That is one thing I deeply respect about Andrew,” Colin said. “I saw him raise the twins when they moved back to Paradise. He has been a great dad to them. I hope I can do as well for this kid that is coming too soon.”

“I’ve spent too much time dealing with my sweet Penny when she’s pregnant,” Kyle said. “Tell this girl she is pretty when she starts to show. Make sure she is able to pay for whatever she needs while she is pregnant with your baby. Grad students are usually dirt poor. Take her to her doctor’s appointments. Be her birthing coach. You want to be there when your son or daughter is born. Support the girl, in every way you possibly can.”

“Thank you for the advice, Uncle Kyle,” Colin said. “You’ve given me a lot to think about.”

“Hey, eight-five,” Kyle called out as Colin turned to leave. He turned back. “Did you do the extra video study Coach Burke asked you to do?”

“Finished it up before I came to see you, Coach,” Colin replied, grinning. “I think I caught a couple tells that will help me beat the DB they will mostly use to cover me. I’ll be ready, Coach.”

“You do that,” Kyle agreed. Kyle and Colin had worked out the short-hand to cope with being uncle and nephew as well as coach and player. Uncle Kyle was family and Coach Martin was his boss. Colin had missed the man who raised him, Mark Weaver, after Mark’s death a few years ago. While Andrew Martin might be his biological father and was a really nice guy, Colin’s father figure had become Kyle Martin, since he joined the Eagles.

Thursday, December 16, 2032 – NovaCare Complex, Philadelphia, PA

The players efforts at practice Thursday afternoon were half-hearted. Seventy-five minutes into practice, with fifteen more scheduled, Kyle seen enough. The blasted his whistle three times and shouted, “ENOUGH! BRING IT IN! Gather around me.” The sixty-six players, eighteen coaches and assorted support personnel gathered in a tight bunch around the head coach.

Kyle face was red and he muttered to himself as the players and coaches gathered around him.

“This is the worst FUCKING practice I have seen in two years here in Philly,” Kyle growled. “Worst fucking thing ever. You call yourselves professionals. I’ve seen better pee-wee football practices than the disgrace I just witnessed. I want every player to do four laps around the practice fields and then get your asses in seats in the auditorium.” As the players started to run, Kyle added, “Make it damned fast too!”

Ryan looked at Ed Fritz in shock. Normally Kyle was so calm and controlled. “You ever seen this before?”

“Once or twice,” Ed replied. “Our boss does have a temper but he usually has it under tight control.”

“Coach is not wrong about the effort today,” Ryan noted.

“He’s not,” Ed agreed. “Get prepared for some fireworks in the auditorium. It isn’t going to be pretty.”

The position coaches jogged around the edges of the field, keeping pressure on the players to run hard. Coach C, Ryan, Ed, Jeremy and Kyle headed inside for the unscheduled team meeting.

Coach C noted to Kyle, “I’m glad you said something. I was about to explode myself.”

“Feel free to speak up at the meeting,” Kyle noted, his fury slightly diminished.

“I will if I feel I need to,” Coach C replied. “I think you’ve got this.” Neither noticed the Hard Knocks camera crew following them, filming. After seven weeks of them around, the video crew was simply background now.
