Penny directed me to her apartment. She’d taken an Uber to the Christmas party. The place was upscale and beautifully decorated. We did our own dancing to music she liked in her nice living room. Odd, however, was that our clothes seemed to fall by the wayside as we swayed to the romantic music. She was as eager as I was.
Despite being the boss’ daughter, Penny was a hot woman, and she was horny as fuck. Once we got started, it was a good thing that I had a lot of stamina and a lot of condoms. She used up my stamina and most of the condoms between our arrival from the Christmas party and three a.m., when I left her with a kiss after I’d tucked her in her bed, kissed her again, and tiptoed out to my car to drive home. I’d superficially dressed compared to what I’d worn to the Christmas party.
KC was asleep, and Stacy and Ally weren’t home. I snuggled into Wife #2, and slept.
Ally arrived at home about ten a.m., driven by her overnight ‘date’ – a guy named Bill that she cultivated during the party. Bill was a senior account manager providing high-end printing services to Taymore Systems – Ally’s company.
I waved at him in a friendly way before he drove away. Ally came over to me and gave me a kiss. “Been home long?” she asked.
“Since about three a.m. You have fun?”
“I wore him out. He was only good for twice, but that was fine for a one-night stand. I still have four prophylactics left.” She waved her sequined purse in the air. “I actually got most of a night’s sleep, too. He wasn’t up for anything this morning, so a bit of a dud sexually, although a nice guy. He did kiss well and could eat pussy like a champ, but ... you know, his jaw got tired so he had to stop that, too.”
I laughed and told her about Penny. Ally was awed that I’d fucked the Big Boss’ daughter, and that she wanted a return engagement of some kind. I was thinking of involving her with the sex club. She certainly seemed horny and resilient enough to appreciate something like that.
Stacy had ended up sleeping at her brother’s condo along with Lisa, his serious girlfriend and a member of the sex club. The three of them had created their own Friday night party and then slept together.
One Saturday afternoon in late January, I had just finished cleaning up the inside of my car in the driveway when I saw Steve and Nicky walking around the landscaped circle in the middle of the cul-de-sac towards my home. I gave a happy wave at them, unsure whether they were coming to visit or only getting some light exercise around the neighborhood. They were both in sneakers, shorts, and tees, befitting of the nice day. Nicky looked considerably sexier than Steve; her headlights were on.
Steve greeted, “Hi. We were coming to see whether we could talk to you, Ally, KC, and Stacy?” He sounded amazingly upbeat and friendly, a far cry from the emotional mess I’d followed home months earlier. I hadn’t seen him but fleetingly as he drove in or out of the neighborhood in his car, and even then, maybe only four or five times. I’d seen Nicky about the same way only more frequently, but never to talk to or exchange pleasantries.
I invited them in and rousted the girls from their Saturday activities. We congregated in our living room. Steve and Nicky turned down drinks, and obviously were on a mission.
Steve took the floor when we were seated, “As you well remember, nine months ago I blew a head gasket at one of the weekend parties. For that, I apologize. I was in seventh heaven about the sex that I was having, but living in one of the circles of hell over what Nicky was doing. That dichotomy bothered me and then became a monster, ultimately splitting my head in half with more raw emotions that you can find in a soap opera.
“Seeing my staid wife pulling a train that night seemed to be the straw that broke the camel’s back. The emotional and moral judgments that I’d been suppressing bubbled to the surface and exploded before my eyes as she was on that bed with each of the men came to her. I had the mental breakdown that had been brewing for months, since we started in the group sex. I knew if it had been another woman doing what Nicky was doing, that I would have been in line to participate, but seeing my wife ... I fell apart.” He paused and said, “No, I blew apart into small particles of being that was hurt, confused, sad, angry, nauseated, appalled, numb, and more. I couldn’t rationalize the Nicky I’d been married to for twenty years with the one on that bed that night.
The three of us were mute but nodded in partial understanding.
Steve continued but his voice brightened slightly, “After my emotional eruption, we talked for hours and hours, and we’ve been through a lot of counseling and therapy on a wide variety of subjects. I did some of that on my own, an intensive week in a special program for people like me that came apart so completely. Nicky was with me for some of it all. She did some on her own, too. I understand myself better, Nicky better, and have found new ways of thinking about everything that I can own, especially about what Nicky does – our marriage, our daughter, my life expectations, and more.
His tone got lighter and became slightly eager. “Why we’re here today is to ask about the willingness of you and the group to accept us back for the weekend parties and anything else that the group is engaged in? We want to return to our dear friends and be ... as we’d appeared to be back then, but for both of us now being in a much better mental state – at least for me.”
The four of us looked at each other.
Ally spoke first but in a cautious tone; “I applaud your desire in rejoining with us. We’ve missed both of you and want you back – one-hundred percent and absolutely. Everyone will tell you the same thing; we’ve talked occasionally, hoping that you’d return someday. We do have a few new friends with us, some the result of the recent holidays. Things have remained cool and calm with all of us. I ask, however, are you sure you’re ready to try this again?”
Steve checked with Nicky who nodded. He continued, “Yes. Nicky has never wavered in wanting to participate. I know that Ellie is now with you a lot of the time and that you have treated her with great love, care, and respect – and lust, of course.” He chuckled, “I understand what she needs, and you are providing that for her – something we can’t do as her parents. Thank you.
“Your treatment of Ellie, and I understand in hindsight of Nicky, became apparent during our counseling. One realization I came to was that I was treating the group sex going on in a dirty, crude, and dismissive way. I was the one that was slumming and whoring around. I was not mentally respectful of my partners, certainly with my attitude, and that was how I thought others were treating my wife.” He looked lovingly at Nicky.
Steve added, “One of the turning points for me was when Ellie announced that she wanted to belong to the group and to spend a lot of time with you and yours. That day became a temporarily a crisis for me, yet again, but it came at a good time. I’d had a lot of counseling by then and was working on solidifying what I learned into my life. My daughter wanted S. E. X., and a lot of it, she admitted. She confessed to sneaking over and watching some of the neighborhood sex parties, including being at the one where I broke down. She told us about some of the parties her classmates had been having that she’d attended and participated in.
“I started to apply what I’d learned to her situation, and again to the similar situation that Nicky had been in. I had to confirm my own boundaries and how those situations might or might not impinge on them. I had to hold their likely behaviors up and judge them, contrasting my old and new ways of evaluation. I had to vocalize everything going on in my head, only by then I had a vocabulary to use to do that.
“We had a lot of drama around our house for a few days around her request to belong to the neighborhood group, and my thinking and expressions were cathartic and revelatory to the other issues I was dealing with, including my changing parental relationship with her. I came out of those discussions a different person. Ellie came to two counseling sessions with us so I could respond to her in front of the therapist. He knew the right questions to push my thinking about the subject. That went well, and she’s been with you for seven weeks and is the happiest that I’ve ever seen her.”
Steve sighed, “As for me, I think you’ll find that I’m a changed person. I’ve been through a pretty intense few months over the spring, summer, and fall reevaluating my life, upbringing, behavior, treatment of other people, values, and emotions. Thankfully, Nicky went on this trek with me and worked with me as our therapist did, to find a new way of looking at things such as what was going on, and our marriage, parenting, and my other relationships, some going back many years.
“I am feeling more deeply involved in my own life, my marriage, my fatherhood, and my husband-hood than I ever was. The connections to you in the larger group are part of what I’ve transformed in my thinking. I’m ready to do that face-to-face now. I want to be a better friend and companion to every person in the group.”
KC cautiously asked, “Did your therapy and thinking include a heavy dose of sex and lovemaking not only for yourself, but also for Nicky and Ellie? If you do this, you’ll again see Nicky with other partners – men and women – and you’ll see how responsive they are to each other romantically and sexually. Further, you’ll see Ellie doing the same things, with the same people. Often, there’ll be more than one partner with one of them.
“We sure don’t want to have to worry about you. We have worried about you over these months, and that’s because we love you ... both of you and Ellie, too. We hoped for this outcome, but we don’t want you to return prematurely and backslide. My parents used to say, ‘Sex is never an emergency’, and that applies in this case, too. If you’re not quite ready, give it some room. Don’t rush it.”
Steve nodded, “The therapy did include acknowledging the many possibilities of what I’d see at our gatherings or hookups. I had to list the possible things that I might do or that I might see Nicky or Ellie doing, and then for many write vivid descriptions of those events, a page or two – and yes, involving multiple men and women, some known and some total strangers. I had to read them aloud to Nicky, too. She helped me think of various situations, and then ideas I’d forgotten or missed about what they’d be like – variation after variation.
“I was put on a reading campaign, too, where I had to read erotic stories and novels that covered a whole range of situations. Nicky and I discussed them and how I’d feel in a similar situation. Ellie joined in for some of that. If I hung-up on one in some way, we’d talk to the therapist about the situation. Whether we thought of a situation or I read about one, I had to put myself in the middle and analyze my feelings about it and verbalize my emotions. If I was squeamish, anxious, or had any negative emotions, I had to figure out why. I found some of my boundaries that way, and I had to deal with them.
“One week not long ago, to put me under pressure, Nicky would call me names and taunt me with some situation she’d been in or conjured up as a ‘bad girl’. Most of the situations were hypothetical, but we were good actors and I could feel the emotions rise in each situation and evaluate my responses in light of the new mindset I was developing.”
KC said in a neutral tone, “Can you give an example?” I could tell, that like me, we wanted to be sure that Steve was better prepared mentally for the sex and especially for watching his wife of twenty years with other men.
Steve nodded. “Well, for one, I revisited Nicky pulling a train, only in the scenario I had it occurring with uncaring strangers in the back room of a seedy bar. I described the revulsive characters, my watching and being taunted by the other men, and then what they did to my wife – all the ways they fucked and defiled her. What her responses were, mostly inviting and appreciative of the cocks and fucking they were giving her. I was cast as the cuckold. We talked about the things that she might say, from things that degraded and demeaned me to the superlative words of pleasure she spoke as the men fucked her. My therapist would then talk me through my various responses to seeing something like that and then dwelled on which one I’d choose. I learned that I was choosing my responses to each situation from a wide spectrum of possibilities. I had to defend my responses and potential actions with her. The exercises were grueling. Remember, they were trying to put pressure on me to see where my boundaries were.”
“How many scenarios did you consider?” I asked.
Steve shook his head in disbelief, “Hundreds – maybe a thousand or so. A simple one like I described would have a dozen variations to it, some daunting. I swear that I’ve heard the words ‘What if... ‘ ten-thousand times this year. We’d have some situation to think about, we’d talk, and then the questions would start, what if this, and what if that was a variation. At first, I was genuinely shocked at some of them.”
“What was going on between the two of you?” Ally asked.
“We were lovers, haters, at war, serene, near divorce, reengaged, renewing our vows – new ones, careful with each other, blunt as a sledgehammer, challenging ... the one thing we did was talk and talk and talk. One constant in this was Nicky’s love. I knew she was on my side and wanted me whole and back to being a full person that knew his own mind. After our first two months of counseling, the therapist taught Nicky how to ask the ‘What if’ questions and how to challenge my thinking. She’s good at it, and in her role, it brought us closer together.
“Nicky wouldn’t allow me to hide for more than an hour. I had to talk to her multiple times a day, or to the therapist sometimes three or four times a week, and a few times twice in a day. I couldn’t say ‘I’ll think about that’ and table a discussion. I had to respond at the moment – or within a few minutes. This was a big change for me. I’m more spur of the moment now. Before, I would brood about things for weeks sometimes. That’s what got me in trouble last spring. I should not ‘awfulize’ about situations the way I’d been doing.”
