Chapter 9: Fucking Tatsumi’s Mother

Tatsumi jerked into the kitchen, eyeing me suspiciously before glancing at his mom, then back at me.

Kuku, should I call it instinct? Who would have thought someone as naive as him could sense the danger closing in? Not that it matters anymore.

“Why are you staring at me like that, Tatsumi-san?” I asked.

“Ahem ... sorry about that. I just wanted to know if you killed the spider already, since you took a while,” Tatsumi muttered, scratching the back of his head. At once, I pointed to the squashed bug on the floor, and he nodded.

“I see ... thanks, I guess. Let’s head to the living room,” Tatsumi said, his eyes flicking over to his mom. I could tell he wasn’t comfortable with her wearing such a thin-material camisole right in front of me.

Not so fast, Tatsumi. You’ll have to learn how to respect your stepdad.

I pulled down my nose mask, revealing my face as I activated my power. Truth is, I didn’t need to lower it to use my ability, but it had already become a habit.

“Tatsumi, your mother and I were talking about a few things actually, we were just about to give you a sibling right here before you interrupted us. Since you’re already here, I might as well tell you,” I said, as both Tatsumi and his mom’s eyes glazed over, slipping into a trance.

“Tatsumi, from now on, you’ll carry even greater hatred for your father, for all the years he abused your mother. You’ll see me as the ideal man for her, because her happiness is your happiness. You’ll support me fully, respect me as your stepdad, and look forward to the sibling I’ll give you and your mother through our new relationship.” I paused briefly. That should be enough.
