Chapter 26: A Daughter
Historical Sex Story: Chapter 26: A Daughter - A story of two sisters who both became consorts to the same Joseon prince, both elevated beyond their station, both genuinely loved by a man who chose them for who they were. One brilliant and brief. One quiet and enduring. Both essential to the tapestry of a family built from loss.

Late 1491 - Jisoo age 21, Hyeon age 25
Labor began in the quiet hours before dawn.
Jisoo woke to a wetness between her legs and a deep, rhythmic cramping that was unmistakable. For a moment, she lay very still, processing. Then understanding flooded through her, along with a surge of equal parts excitement and terror.
“Hyeon.” She shook his shoulder. “It’s time.”
He was awake instantly. “You’re certain?”
“My water broke. The contractions are starting.” She breathed through another wave. “Our baby is coming.”
The Preparation
The palace shifted into practiced motion.
Physicians arrived. The birthing room was prepared. Court ladies who specialized in attending royal births assembled. Everything proceeded with calm efficiency—a stark contrast to the panic that had marked Jiwon’s labor.
The head midwife was an experienced woman named Lady Chun, who had delivered countless royal babies over her thirty years of service. She examined Jisoo with gentle, practiced hands.
“You’re progressing well, my lady. The baby’s position is good. Everything looks normal and healthy.”
Normal. That word. The most beautiful word Jisoo had ever heard.
Hyeon refused to leave Jisoo’s side, despite the birthing attendants’ initial suggestions that he wait elsewhere.
“I stayed with Jiwon. I’m staying with you,” he said firmly.
“I want you here,” Jisoo said, gripping his hand as another contraction hit. “Don’t leave me.”
“Never.”
The princesses arrived, keeping vigil outside with appropriate court ladies. They had all been through this themselves—knew the fear and hope that came with bringing new life into the world.
“She’ll be fine,” Myeonghye said with confidence she might not entirely feel. “Everything will be fine this time.”
The Early Hours
Labor progressed slowly but steadily through the morning.
Jisoo walked when the midwives encouraged it, the movement helping the baby descend. She rested when she could between contractions. She drank the herbal tea Lady Chun prepared to maintain her strength.
The pain was intense—worse than she’d imagined—but it was also purposeful. Her body was doing what it was designed to do, working to bring her child into the world.
“You’re doing beautifully,” Lady Chun encouraged after each examination. “The baby is moving down well. Your body knows exactly what to do.”
Hyeon stayed beside her constantly, offering water when she needed it, supporting her when she walked, holding her hand through contractions.
“You’re so strong,” he told her. “So brave. I’m in awe of you.”
“I don’t feel strong. I feel like I’m being split in half.”
“That’s because you’re creating life. There’s no greater strength than that.”
The contractions grew stronger, closer together. Time became measured in waves of pain—building, cresting, receding, only to build again.
The Transition
By late afternoon, Jisoo entered the most intense phase of labor.
The contractions were coming almost continuously now, barely any rest between them. She couldn’t walk anymore, could barely think beyond breathing through each wave.
“I can’t do this much longer,” she gasped, her body shaking with exhaustion.
“You can. You’re almost there.” Lady Chun examined her again. “You’re fully dilated now, my lady. When you feel the urge to push, you can begin.”
The urge came with the next contraction—an overwhelming, irresistible pressure that demanded action.
“I need to push,” Jisoo said.
“Then push,” Lady Chun instructed. “Listen to your body. Let it guide you.”
Jisoo pushed, and the pressure intensified. It felt impossible, like trying to move a mountain with her body alone.
“Good,” Lady Chun encouraged. “The baby is moving down. Keep going.”
Hyeon supported her from behind, his arms around her, letting her lean back against his chest. “You’re doing it. Just keep breathing. Keep pushing.”
The Crowning
After what felt like hours but was perhaps thirty minutes of sustained pushing, Lady Chun’s voice changed—became more excited, more urgent.
“I can see the head! The baby’s crowning!”
Jisoo felt it—an intense burning sensation as her body stretched impossibly wide.
“Stop pushing for a moment,” Lady Chun instructed. “Pant through this contraction. Let your body stretch gradually.”
Jisoo panted, every instinct screaming at her to push but forcing herself to obey. The burning was intense, overwhelming, but Lady Chun’s calm voice kept her focused.
“Good. Very good. Now, with the next contraction, a gentle push. Just gentle. Let the head come slowly.”
Jisoo pushed carefully, feeling the baby’s head emerge—a sensation like nothing she’d ever experienced, overwhelming and primal and utterly consuming.
“Perfect! The head is out!” Lady Chun’s hands moved quickly, gently turning the baby’s head to the side. “Don’t push yet. Let me clear the airway.”
Jisoo felt the midwife’s hands working, heard a soft suctioning sound as the baby’s mouth and throat were cleared.
“All clear. Now, my lady, this next part will be the hardest. The shoulders are the widest part. When the next contraction comes, you’ll need to push hard.”
Hyeon held her tighter, his voice in her ear. “You can do this. Our baby is almost here.”
The Shoulders
The next contraction hit, and Jisoo pushed with everything she had.
The pressure was immense—far worse than the head. She felt her body stretching beyond what seemed possible, felt the baby’s shoulder caught, refusing to move.
“Stop,” Lady Chun said firmly. “Let me help.”
Jisoo felt the midwife’s hands manipulating the baby’s head—turning it downward—and then: “Now push! Push hard!”
Jisoo bore down with desperate strength, and suddenly she felt movement—the top shoulder sliding through, then a fraction of relief as the baby’s body shifted.
And then—the most beautiful sound in the world.
A cry. Strong, loud, indignant.
Their baby was crying—breathing—before even fully born.
“The baby’s crying!” Hyeon’s voice was choked with emotion. “Jisoo, the baby’s crying!”
“One more push,” Lady Chun urged. “Get those shoulders through and the rest will follow.”
Jisoo pushed again, felt the bottom shoulder slip through, and then—in a rush of pressure and fluid and relief—the baby slid out completely into Lady Chun’s waiting hands.
“A girl!” the midwife announced, lifting the squalling, perfect infant. “You have a daughter, Your Highness. A healthy, beautiful daughter!”
The First Moments
Jisoo burst into tears—not from pain, but from overwhelming relief and joy.
Healthy. Their baby was healthy, crying lustily, moving vigorously in the midwife’s hands.
Lady Chun worked quickly, wiping the baby clean with soft cloths, checking her over with expert efficiency while the infant protested loudly at the indignity of being born.
“Strong lungs,” the midwife said with satisfaction. “Good color. Excellent muscle tone. She’s perfect, my lady.”
One of the younger midwives cut and tied the cord, and then—finally—Lady Chun placed the baby in Jisoo’s arms.
Jisoo looked down at her daughter—red-faced, furious at the cold air, her tiny fists waving in protest—and felt her heart expand beyond anything she’d thought possible.
“She’s perfect,” she whispered.
Hyeon leaned over them both, his face wet with tears, touching their daughter’s tiny hand with infinite gentleness. “She’s absolutely perfect.”
The baby’s fingers closed around his thumb, gripping with surprising strength, and her crying began to settle as she felt the warmth of her mother’s body.
“Hello, little one,” Hyeon murmured, his voice breaking. “We’re your parents. We’ve been waiting so long to meet you.”
The Immediate Care
While Jisoo held her daughter, the midwives continued their work—delivering the afterbirth, checking for any complications, ensuring Jisoo was healing properly.
But Jisoo barely noticed. She was entirely focused on the tiny person in her arms, memorizing every detail.
Her daughter had a full head of dark hair, still damp from birth. Her eyes were closed, but when she opened them briefly, they were dark and alert. Her little rosebud mouth worked, searching, and when one of the midwives helped guide her to Jisoo’s breast, she latched immediately and began to suckle.
“Look at her,” Jisoo breathed. “She knows exactly what to do.”
“She’s a fighter,” Lady Chun said with approval, observing the feeding. “Strong suck, good latch. This baby is vigorous and healthy. You should have no problems nursing her.”
Unlike Soyeon, who had been too weak to feed. Unlike Jiwon’s baby, who had struggled for every breath.
This baby was thriving. Crying when she wanted something, feeding hungrily, her little body warm and strong against Jisoo’s chest.
The physician arrived to perform his examination, checking the baby over with meticulous care.
“Perfect,” he declared. “Ten fingers, ten toes, strong heartbeat, clear lungs, good reflexes. Congratulations, Your Highness. You have an exceptionally healthy daughter.”
The Joy
After the midwives had finished their work and cleaned up, after Jisoo had been helped into fresh clothes and settled comfortably in bed, there was finally a moment of quiet.
Just the three of them—Hyeon sitting beside the bed, Jisoo propped up against pillows, their daughter sleeping peacefully in her arms after her first feeding.
“We did it,” Jisoo whispered, still hardly believing it was real.
“You did it,” Hyeon corrected, his voice full of awe. “You were incredible, Jisoo. I’ve never seen anything so powerful, so beautiful.”
“It didn’t feel beautiful. It felt like I was being torn apart.”
“Because you were bringing our daughter into the world. Creating life.” He touched the baby’s tiny head with reverent gentleness. “And she’s perfect. Absolutely perfect.”
