Chapter 25: I’m Simply A Chick Magnet

I felt as if there were bombs being dropped on my head, after hearing her words.

Lucille. That Lucille in my class who gives the most adorable reactions when I say something nice, is a princess?

That same Lucille, who pulled me down by the collar and threatened me, was a future queen??

Really!? That girl is a princess???

Who would’ve thought that the first girl I met in this world, would actually be someone who could one day be powerful enough to change the economic landscape of this world?

What kind of sick twist is this?

Isn’t this a little too much when the story has just started?

But it all makes sense now.

Her unparalleled beauty, that made me wonder if I’ve ever seen a girl as beautiful as her in my life, her noble temperament and the elegant way she composed herself, the shock I saw on my classmates faces when I joked around with her, the arrogance I saw deeply hidden in her when she threatened, and the aggressiveness she brought to the table when she pulled me down by the collar.

It all makes sense if she was a princess of an entire race.

I knew there was something suspicious about her before. But I never would have expected it to be because she was a princess.

But even though it was a mind-blowing surprise to me, I quickly calmed myself down and continued walking, putting the matter behind me to think about another time.

Considering the fact that I was the protagonist of this story, it shouldn’t be too suprising that twists like this take place. And I should probably expect more grenades to drop on my head in the future.

Astrid caught up with me once again, this time the brightness in her eyes more apparent than usual, as if she were very curious about something.

Before, it was I who had to keep up with her pace because of her long strides. But now it was her who was following me with curiosity written all over her face.
