Chapter 5: The River

Fantasy Sex Story: Chapter 5: The River - When the Korean officer De-Yong is on the verge of dying in a duel against a samurai, a kumiho saves his life. She offers him a pact—one that can only be sealed through a union—and it heals his wounds. Too late, both of them realize the consequences of this bond, which also draws other powers onto the battlefield. In the process, the moral boundaries between humans and demons begin to blur.

Evading the troops did not prove to be as easy as Na-Ri had imagined. To secure supplies and to protect them from attacks from behind, the Japanese had set up posts all along the roads. Even if they weren’t walking on a road, they were forced to cross it. And they also had to cross the river.

Normally, a river was no obstacle for Kumihos, but in human form it was. And even more so with the human at their side. This could only be done via a bridge or a ferry if they didn’t want to swim. But this river was far too big for humans to simply swim across.

Another problem was that the forest did not reach the river, apart from a few steep banks. So they had to walk without cover through rice paddies teeming with people. Of course, it would be best to walk along at night when everyone was asleep, as Na-Ri had always done when she was out and about. However, as impatient as she was to get answers, nothing was pressing her. So she decided to simply wait until nightfall.

“It looks like we can’t get any further now. We can’t get through the valley unseen. We’ll rest here and wait for nightfall. Come on, get undressed, we can reunite in a moment.”

De-Yong looked at her sullenly.

“It’s only just after midday. We can’t wait until dark, we can’t waste any time. And we reunited in the morning, surely your need for it can’t be that urgent again?”

“What’s the hurry? If I were alone, I could walk across the river unseen. But not in human form. So we’ll just have to wait for nightfall.”

Na-Ri simply didn’t understand people’s impatience. What did it matter whether they arrived at their destination tomorrow, the day after tomorrow or in a week’s time?

“But we won’t find a boat to take us across the river at night. The nearest bridge is further away and no doubt guarded. I have to get to my unit, I can’t waste time unnecessarily,” De-Yong countered.

A frown line formed on Na-Ri’s forehead.

“So you’re wasting time with me, are you? You don’t want to unite with me? Then give me my pearl back!” she hissed, hurt.

De-Yong backed away, startled.

“That’s not what I meant. I’m wasting time instead of getting to my unit. I have to get there, we’re at war.”

“Which is already lost to you, if I may remind you. Besides, what can you do? Don’t take yourself so seriously!”

“I am important! Actually, I shouldn’t have been allowed to leave at all. I was only allowed to travel north to recruit a troop with the admiral’s special permission.”

“Which the samurai slaughtered,” Na-Ri added maliciously.

“You’re not important, now get undressed before I get really angry!”

De-Yong had also become angry, but quickly regained his composure.

Why was this Kumiho driving him so crazy? But of course he had to obey. Gritting his teeth, he obeyed her order.

“Enough, I can’t take any more!” groaned De-Yong.

Na-Ri paused in her hip movements in amazement.

“Why? He’s still hard. It’s all good!”

“But it hurts! You rode me sore!” De-Yong complained.

With a smacking sound, the demoness got up from his stand and looked at him.

“That’s not bad. With my pearl inside you, it’ll heal in a few hours!”

De-Yong pushed her aside and reached for his clothes.

“Then let’s continue in a few hours. It hurts now.”

Grumpily, Na-Ri got up and went to the luggage. At least she could eat something. Blood was good for her strength, but her stomach needed something else.

She took out the rice cakes wrapped in cloth and took a bite.

“Hey, don’t eat the last of my food!” De-Yong said indignantly.

“Your food? If anything, our food, right?” Na-Ri corrected.

“You sucked the samurai dry, why do you have to eat again? I thought only every few months?”

“That applies to human blood. I have to eat normally. However, I can also satisfy my normal hunger with human blood. Are you offering yourself?”

Her tone was completely emotionless, but her eyes sparkled dangerously blue.

De-Yong was getting tired of her constant death threats. Over the course of the day, he had come to a realization: If she really wanted to kill him, she would have done it yesterday when she was really angry with him. Something was stopping her. The best thing he could do was ignore her moods.

“Go find some more samurai and leave me the rice. I can’t drink blood to feed myself.”

“Why don’t you go and find some more rice?” Na-Ri countered, “This one’s mine now!”

De-Yong was about to say something back, but then changed his mind. Basically, it wasn’t a stupid idea. There were still a few hours until the evening, so at least he could spend them wisely. Instead of putting on his armor, he left it at simple clothing. Then he grabbed the pouch with the coins and weighed it in his hand. That should be enough.

The demoness stared at him curiously.

“What is it?”

“Your suggestion is a good one. I’ll go down to the village and see if I can buy some more food. We’ll need it.”

“Buy?”

Na-Ri seemed confused.

“What do you want to buy food for?”

“I just told you: we need it!” De-Yong’s tone was indignant.

“I mean buy. Why buy? We’ll take what we need when we get through there that night. No reason to go there now.”

“Because I’m not a thief!”

“You took the samurai’s things too.”

De-Yong rolled his eyes in annoyance.

“They were enemies. Also dead. They didn’t need them anymore.”

Na-Ri thought about his arguments. Then she shrugged her shoulders.

“I’ve never bought anything. If I wanted something, I was either given it voluntarily or I took it.”

“That’s the difference between demons and humans. See you later!”

De-Yong turned around and put an end to this stupid discussion. This Kumiho was really annoying.

“No!”

“Yes!”

“NO!”

Na-Ri’s eyes began to glow dangerously again.

“I’m not wearing this!”

“You promised!”

“When we go to a city, I said. There is no city here!”

She stamped her foot like a petulant child and added: “I can’t move in these clothes!”

In amazement, De-Yong lifted up the clothes and looked at them. Then he shook his head.

“Of course you can. Any woman can move around in clothes, including you, of course. But if you put these on, we won’t have to wait until the evening, we can cross the river today.”

“You only wanted to buy something to eat!” she reproached him. “Instead, you brought something like this!”

“There’s nothing to eat. The samurai have taken everything. At least I was able to buy clothes for us. So the journey was not in vain.”

Na-Ri sniffed the clothes and grimaced in disgust.

“It stinks!”

De-Yong smelled the dress intended for Na-Ri in amazement. He detected a slight floral scent.

“It doesn’t stink. She smells really clean. And what’s more, they’ve even wrapped yasmine in the clothes to make them smell nice.”

“That’s what I’m saying: she stinks!”

De-Yong became indignant.

“Don’t argue, woman: you put this on now!”

Na-Ri opened her eyes in amazement. No one had ever dared to speak to her like that before. At least no one who wouldn’t soon regret it bitterly. Her fangs clenched involuntarily. He would regret that! Then her eyes fell on his pendant, which he was clearly wearing over his clothes. It hit her like a shower of water. Just as quickly as the teeth had appeared, they disappeared again.

She stared at him in confusion. She looked like a tiger that wanted to pounce on a farmer and instead got hit over the snout with a stick.

De-Yong had deliberately provoked the demoness. As he had expected, she couldn’t do anything to him. He had spent the last two hours thinking about how he could gain certainty. Of course, he had now gambled with his life, but if he had no protection from her, she could kill him at any time as soon as she was tired of him. Now he had the proof.
