Chapter 21: Moonrise
Fantasy Sex Story: Chapter 21: Moonrise - When the Korean officer De-Yong is on the verge of dying in a duel against a samurai, a kumiho saves his life. She offers him a pact—one that can only be sealed through a union—and it heals his wounds. Too late, both of them realize the consequences of this bond, which also draws other powers onto the battlefield. In the process, the moral boundaries between humans and demons begin to blur.

De-Yong was about to break a hole in the roof as quietly as possible so that he could climb up there under cover of darkness. Simply rushing out the door would have been the alternative. In the end, it came down to the same thing: he would die tonight. And he would rather be killed by the samurai than torn apart by Na-Ri.
But he didn’t want to end his life senselessly either. His plan was to take as many enemies as possible with him to their deaths. If they could then remove his dead body from the camp, Na-Ri could return unmolested.
But De-Yong was also a little disappointed that Na-Ri hadn’t contacted him again. After everything they had experienced and what he had done for her in her sphere, it would have been comforting to feel her once more.
It was funny: when Na-Ri was still there, he had loathed and feared her. Now he willingly gave his life and soul for her so that she could return.
He could no longer regard either Yun or Na-Ri as soulless demons. Yes, they were not human, and their morals were also very different from De-Yong’s. But that didn’t mean that they were abysmally evil.
On the contrary: by now, De-Yong was even sure that they liked and protected the humans.
Certainly in their very own way, not like the Dokkaebi Cham, who helped hikers in distress when they got into danger on his territory.
By their very nature, the Kumihos were forced to drink human blood. But despite all Yun’s threats, she had only killed enemies. When he was fighting in Na-Ri’s sphere, connected to her in a way that humans never could be, he had learned something that no human knew: the Kumihos were the favorites of the goddess Samshin. And this goddess also loved humans.
De-Yong, can you hear me?
He almost fell off the ledge he was standing on, so startled was he by the sudden voice. He managed to hold on at the last moment.
“Yun?” he whispered softly.
Yes!
His face immediately darkened. It was not Na-ri who spoke up. Yun would surely only communicate her regret now that she couldn’t kill him painlessly as promised. She could only tell him through her pearl that she felt sorry for him...
It took him a few moments to realize what that meant.
“I only have your pearl inside me?”
Obviously! And that’s good on the one hand and bad on the other. The good thing is that you don’t have to die when Na-Ri returns. The bad thing about it is that she will be completely helpless and disoriented for a short time, in the middle of a camp full of enemies who have weapons that could kill her right away.
He tried to understand what the new situation meant. Especially for himself.
“I’m not going to die tonight?” he asked to be on the safe side.
Yun hesitated to answer.
You are in the middle of a fortified camp full of enemies, secured by a spell circle. Neither I can get in, nor you or Na-Ri can get out as long as the spell circle is intact. Even if you are not killed when Na-Ri returns, the chances of you surviving this night are not particularly good!
De-Yong slowly lowered himself from the roof and squatted on the ground.
“And you’re telling me this because? So you want me to do something for you, again?”
Yun’s spirit voice actually sounded a little hurt.
Do you think I’ve been idle for the last few days? I have been well aware of what has happened. And I will free both Na-Ri and you.
“So you also know that I was tortured? That I’m only alive at all by good luck?”
You have my pearl inside you. Of course I realized that. But our enemies have made several serious mistakes. And the most serious was that you were able to obtain blood. So I can not only talk to you, but also tell you what I’m planning and coordinate with you.
Yun said it as if she had also planned everything before and everything had gone according to her wishes. De-Yong swallowed his rising anger. There was no point in arguing with this Kumiho. After all, they weren’t human after all.
“Good, I’m listening to you!”
Kazuki could feel the storm coming. And it threatened to engulf them all. However, he was only thinking metaphorically about the approaching storm, which could soon bring heavy rain.
He was well protected from the rain in his palanquin on the wagon. Not so much from the danger that Taka had just conjured up.
But Kazuki couldn’t just drive off either. Taka had ordered him to stay in the camp and at the same time had given his samurai orders to prevent Kazuki from simply driving off.
He was practically a prisoner.
Taka was obsessed with his desire to acquire the demon’s power. And the miko had obviously succeeded and had snatched the power from the prisoner.
But then problems arose. The handover to Taka had obviously failed.
He scowled at the moonrise against the dark clouds. Today was a full blood moon, which he saw as an ominous sign.
Something would happen tonight.
Determined, he turned to his palanquin.
It would be safest there.
However, he had to be ready to flee as soon as it happened. With the palanquin if possible, but without if necessary.
The main thing is to get away from here!
Teiko brought Miyahara the food. She thought incessantly about how she could warn her master about the demoness.
As she knelt and watched him fortify himself, her gaze fell on the writing board, where ink and quill lay ready. Taka had probably written a report to the general.
“Miyahara San, may I write a letter?” she asked humbly.
Surprised, Taka stopped eating and looked at her.
“Who do you want to write to?” he asked suspiciously.
“To my order. I would like to share the findings. Of course, I will show you what I write to them. If you don’t like it, I won’t send the message.”
Taka thought for a moment, then nodded and continued eating.
Teiko immediately set to work. She wrote in large characters so that Taka could read it even when he was a few steps away:
‘The demoness is inside me. And she speaks to me. I can’t block out the voice! And she is eager to get inside you. She has forbidden me to warn you! I hope she can’t read!’
When she was finished, she turned the paper so that Taka could see it and bowed deeply.
Taka slowly lowered the saki bowl, which he was about to bring to his mouth.
For a moment, he tried to understand what the miko was trying to tell him. Finally he understood.
What did that mean? A voice in his head without the possibility of blocking it out?
The idea terrified him. What if this demon robbed him of his mind?
Then he remembered the old legend that the miko had told him, which had made him decide to absorb this power in the first place.
The daimyo of the time must have had to struggle with this too, but he must have been able to live for a long time. If he had managed that, why should he fail?
Or was this the miko’s attempt to keep the power to herself? He grew suspicious of this woman. She had not sworn allegiance to him, had only entered his service through threats. With this power, she was a serious danger at his side, even without a weapon. At a favorable moment, she could easily break his neck and make it look like an accident. That would set her free again.
Determined, he drank the bowl and put it back.
“Give me the writing set, I have to write something too!” he ordered.
