Chapter 29

Science Fiction Sex Story: Chapter 29 - Inspired by the world created in ElSol’s The Master’s Ring, begins my story set 19 years later. The great purge is ending. A new generation is growing towards adulthood. Since ElSol proclaimed he would never finish his masterpiece, I am striving to expand his world with my own science fiction spin(respectfully). This is absolutely not a sequel, just my reimagining of ElSol's world I so enjoyed. Chapter lengths vary widely. This is intended to be a long continuing story. Only posted here on SOL.

Friday was a holiday, but Nate had agreed to meet us today at his lab. We were cruising from Beaverton to the Hillsboro location, Doris Alex up front with me, and Maggie and Molly in the back.

“How was your Thanksgiving, Molly and Maggie?” asked Doris Alex.

“Ate way too much. I love Turkey Day. The parental units were happy. No fights; everything was calm,” said Maggie.

“And they loved we spent the night and the whole day there. How about you two?” asked Maggie.

“It was great. Z did the turkey; I did the sides. We had sex three times!” Doris Alex grinned.

“And we are here.” Nate was waiting at the door and let us in. We were all in jeans today. He hugged Doris Alex a little longer than Maggie and Molly. “Wearing your collar in the building today. You could wear it at work too; no one would mind.” My red-haired goddess blushed, but did not reply.

Eerie how dark and quiet the place was. It was only Nate and us today, as the facility was on a four-day shutdown. The lights automatically came on as we traversed the staircase to Nate’s conference room.

As we sat down, I asked, “Did you have a good Thanksgiving?”

“Oh yes. This will be one of the last times we have Hanna.” She was turning eighteen on December 1st. The plan was that she would come live at my house, then we would go on our vacation in Antigua for two weeks. Shortly after, she would leave for six months: Sibling indoctrination and Brother tour.

All that depended upon her being told about the Society and deciding to join. Hanna, being a smart young woman and the daughter of a Brother who was also a council member, had to suspect much. Her understanding of me and my relationships with my ‘girlfriends’ would then have given her an additional piece of the puzzle.

It would be a big decision that she should take her time with. I had backed off and slowed down my developing relationship with her. We had tremendous chemistry. Hanna’s choice to become a Sibling should not be solely based on me. On her tour, she would be with many Brothers. Coming back to me would not be an automatic result. And I wanted to be careful that Nate controlled the timing and desires for the Brotherhood’s reveal. “How is Hanna doing?” I asked.

“She’s good, counting down the days before she has her freedom and lives we you. She still gets on the SecondLife virtual world, but I’m hoping that stops when she has better things to occupy her time.” I winced slightly. Virtual worlds can be a positive place for lonely people. But Hanna had told me about her dark experiences there. When she gained her freedom from a well-meaning, but far too protective father, I hoped she would choose to spend her time in the real world only.

“I’m unsure about providing her information and how fast or slow we should proceed. Will you be having talks with her? Should Doris Alex when she moves in?”

“I appreciate your concern, Z. You have never been involved in this before. Before she leaves, I will, with my wife, reveal the Society to her. Some of which I am certain she has long suspected. It is a tricky business. Offering her enough information so that she can make a choice. But not too much information, lest it remove her choice.”

“Good, can you call me, or Doris Alex before she moves in to update us.?”

“Doris Alex has enormous experience with this. I suggest you let her lead with Hanna.”

“Sounds perfect, thank you.”

“Now Doris Alex tells me you have some fantastic and fantastical news.”

Doris said, “That is all I told Nate ... fantastic and fantastical news we want to share.”

“Then on to the video.” I said.

Doris set it up for the big screen in the conference room. Nate flipped the switch to frost the glass conference room window, just in case another employee stopped by. The video started with a shot of Maggie wearing my dress shirt and nothing else. Then zoomed out to the twins and me on the chair. The song played, the pop and swoosh of air, a few seconds of blankness ... then the desert scene near 29 Palms.

Doris Alex screamed in delight, her iPhone camera panning the desert scene. The song playing a second time, Doris Alex spinning around and seeing the scene fade. It least it was fading when looking through her phone screen. Maybe it was just the phone’s momentary adjustment to the differing light level when she spun around. Regardless, she panicked and leaped at us on the chair; the screen went blank for a moment. Her phone dropped upside down, displaying our ceiling back home with more screaming on the audio.

We had watched it several times, so I was watching Nate’s reaction. He had a poker face from years of practice. Then the questions began, centered on “How did this all unfold?”

We gave him the full download on 29 Palms protocol. Several times we used the word teleportation. Each time his poker face cracked a little. The third or fourth time we used the word, he corrected us. “I am confident that this is not teleportation. I expect the twins can alter reality and create a small wormhole to travel through. It might not seem any more or less fantastical, but at least it is slightly more plausible.”

He continued, “But let’s focus on the protocol existing in the twins’ minds. Where did it come from?”

“We don’t know.” Doris Alex admitted.

Nate rubbed his forehead and exhaled. “And that worries me. Do you plan to experiment with this protocol again?”

“Sure, we were going to do it again later tonight.” I said.

Nate leaned forward. “I cannot overstate how big a mistake that might be. It might already be too late. But please don’t!”

“Why not? We thought you’d be excited.”

“If this protocol was Brotherhood-related, I’d know. So that possibility is extremely doubtful. I will investigate a rogue Bloodline connection, though I still consider it unlikely.

“Err, so space aliens?” Molly asked.

“You know, if is, that would not be the worst news.”

“What do you worry about, Nate?” Doris Alex asked. We were all worried now, but did not yet know why.

“Have you asked yourselves ... what is near 29 Palms, California?”

“Joshua Tree National Park.” I said.

“And?” Nate pursued.

“Oh, fuck!” Doris exclaimed. “A huge military base!”

“Yes, the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center. Home to something like 20,000 active-duty military personnel and their families. And ... houses the Marine Corps Communication Electronic School.” Nate sighed.

Doris leaned forward, her face flushed. “So this could all have been a trap? They somehow beamed the protocol to the twins? That says they’d have to suspect us. Or, somehow they have broadly disseminated this protocol to millions of people, waiting for anyone with the power to understand the protocol and to come there?”

Nate’s poker face was gone. His jaw clenched. “I hope I am wrong. They might not have all four of you on camera. But go again, and I’d expect they would, and a lot more. When you opened a wormhole near the base, maybe on the base, it is highly probable you set off alarms.”

My heart was in my throat. “So what do we do.” Doris Alex asked.

“Do nothing right now. No experiments of any kind until I get back to you. We might find out it is Society related. But if it is the US government, while they are not an enemy. They are not allies. Your days of freedom would be over. At best, you’d be using your Antigua and Barbuda passports we supplied you to escape and hide in dark corners of the world.”

“So that’s why you supplied us with Antigua and Barbuda citizenship!” I said.

“Yes, nice place to vacation, but the visa-free entry to 150 countries is a backup tool if you ever had to run. We try to plan for everything. You guys are that important.”

“We’ll increase your hidden security for a few days to see if we catch anyone sneaking around, physically or electronically.” Nate added.

“We were planning to go house hunting tomorrow; should we stay home?” I asked.

“No, go. Doris Alex mentioned that you are considering moving to Eugene. Security already checked out that property, and it would be an excellent choice security-wise. And there are at least another 20 undeveloped acres adjacent that would be worth picking up too.”

“Thank you for you and your team looking out for us, Nate.”

“Of course. That reminds me. Be sure to wear your rings, or always have them on your person. And remember the security features.”

“Tap the crest three times in quick succession; it activates a powerful GPS tracker, and holding the crest down for fifteen seconds, using either thumb; it alerts security that we are in immediate danger.” I smiled, “We memorized it.”

“Yes, so if Doris Alex finds herself naked in the desert, she has hope of rescue.” Nate smiled back, but rather grimly.

“Doris Alex could keep working for you from Eugene?” I asked.

“Absolutely, we have a small research facility nearby. And a Brother is the administrator.”

“Ah, an older gentleman?”

“Yes, how did you know?”

“I asked Lisa about the Siblings and Brothers in Eugene. She said besides Tom, there was one leaving the area, and two older gentlemen.”

“Lisa is a sweetheart and bright! And a wonderful group of Siblings are long established at the university. If you choose to move there, I think you will all be thrilled.”

“We hope it goes well; we are all so excited.” Smiled Molly.

We wrapped up pretty quickly after that. Nate needed to finish some work and get home for the rest of the day to be with his family. And we were all still stressed from thinking about how using the 29 Palms protocol may have terrible consequences. Nate shook my hand, hugged Maggie and Molly, then Doris Alex a little longer, a little tighter, and I noticed his hand give her ass cheek a squeeze.

As we were driving home, we avoided dwelling on the protocol. Doris Alex in the front of my truck, Molly and Maggie in the back. “Hey, we forgot to discuss any preliminary results from the testing for the three of you. Nate had said it would be a couple weeks, and we are closing in on that time.” I observed.

Doris replied, “I have been involved in discussions. We have some preliminary results, but this will be a long process. And we want to run some more tests.”

“What kind of tests?” I asked.

“Nothing invasive, except the harvesting of some of my eggs to test. Minor surgery, done all the time with IVF. You know how a woman has all the eggs she will ever have when she is born?”

“I had heard that ... millions of eggs as a baby.” I said.

“Women lose them pretty dramatically as they age. They did an ultrasound on me. It seems like I may have grown new eggs.”

“Do it only if you are completely on board with it.”

“Yes, Brother, I am.”

“So you spoke of preliminary results?”

“The comprehensive carrier screening came back. That is the one comparing recessive genes that could cause birth defects. Using my blood from before the ‘healing’, when I was thirty-eight years old, I had two. But when compared to your blood, you did not have the same recessive genes, so there is no heightened risk if we were to have a baby.”

“That’s great, right?”

“Yes, but the weird thing is, when they tested using my current blood ... I had zero recessive problem genes. Somehow, they were ‘healed’.”

“How is that possible?” Maggie asked from the back.

“It isn’t, or shouldn’t be. But it gets even weirder. Every test is showing that I have DNA transfer from the twins. Like what would happen with bone marrow transfer, organ donations, or CRISPR gene therapy. But this is much more comprehensive.”

“So we healed you by transferring our DNA?”

“As unbelievable as that seems, yes. We also have some age results for me. You were aiming to bring me from age thirty-eight to age twenty or twenty-one. I am coming in at age seventeen, plus or minus a year.”

“Oh, Doris Alex, we feared that could have brain effects. Have they found any harm?” I asked with concern.
