“Okay, how is this going to happen, Big Brother? Do you have to use one of those tick-tock metronome thingees, or one of those swirlee spiral thingees, or a cheesy gold pocket watch, or even one of those cool penlights, and wave it all around in front of me? Saying things like, “You are getting sleepy, very, very, sleepy?’ You are under my control now?’” My little Sister, Izzy, short for Isabella, asked making satirical fun of my chosen profession at the moment. She was also doing a creepy Bela Lugosi, or maybe a Boris Karloff impersonation, while rolling her pretty green eyes up at me in a comical expression. She was also looking around the room, my office, suspiciously at the same time too.
I had gone to a lot of trouble to plan and setup my office space just right for me. My office itself was, 500 feet wide, by 800 feet deep, which gave me 400, 000 square feet of working area, with a 16 ft high ceiling. There are also some movable walls, and at the moment it is also setup as my bachelor apartment too. As you walk in there is a 75”, executive oak desk in the middle of the first room, and my office desk chair sits behind it. My chair is a La-Z-Boy ergonomic leather executive chair, you could think of it as a rolling thrown actually. Behind the desk and chair are book cases against the far wall with mostly psychology and psychiatry text books, but there are also a few on yoga, meditation, Zen, and even Mesmerism, and hypnosis, books thrown in for good measure.
Then against the far wall is a 89” modern multifunctional triple sofa bed couch with wood panel support. It can become a full recliner, or even a full length bed at the push of a button. The sofa design features deep soft plush enticing cushion seats, allowing you to relax after a long workday, or in my case it allows my patients ... clients ... to relax and unburden themselves. To my right is two full size picture windows with roller shades to darken the room at the push of a remote button. The same goes for the room’s lighting, too, everything is controlled with the push of a button from the complicated hand held remote control box.
Of course, there is also the him & her rest rooms for clients, and my own personal bathroom with bathtub, shower and cloths closet. There is also a kitchen with a sink, compact refrigerator/freezer, oven/burner, microwave, storage shelves, and even a dishwasher in the corner behind a moveable wall. In the other corner behind another set of movable walls is my own bedroom. My bed is a heavy oak 79.5”L x 75.5”W x 18”H, 4 poster king size bed.
For the patient ... client ... I chose two RecPro Charles 28” RV Euro recliner chairs. Yes, I found out there was modern RV (Recreational Vehicle) furniture designs out there that fitted my office needs perfectly. It’s overall dimensions: 27”W x 40”H x 34”D, weight: 50 pounds. 1st Recline Length: 48”. 2nd Recline Length: 57”, frame width: 27”, base diameter: 25 1/2”. At the touch of a button it went from a chair, to a laid back reclining chair with foot rest, and next to a full bed. I really didn’t want my client rolling around the office, ha, ha, ha. At the moment, Izzy, my younger Sister, was sitting before my desk in one of the RV Reclining chairs.
“No, no, nothing like that Sis. Usually I use this, ha, ha.” I laughed, and took out the large square cut deep red lab grown synthetic ruby on the 24” Miami Cuban link yellow gold chain from my coat pocket, and handed it to her. The large ruby was in a 1 Inch 10K yellow gold diamond 3D pendant charm setting. The large ruby was surrounded by the smaller white diamonds and flashed and sparkled brilliantly in any available light.
The lab created synthetic corundum square princess cut gemstone was 1 inch square, and a little over 1,000 carats. Lab grown ruby (corundum) runs about a $1 a carat. The one I had was originally flawed with an inclusion so they had used a laser to drill a hole in the center of the ruby to remove the inclusion. When they were done the hole in the center of the ruby resembled a tiny flying dragon.
I had won it in a poker game in Las Vegas several years ago, from a Saudi oil sheik, that called it his lucky charm at the time. He put it up against my fancy champion bull riding rodeo belt buckle and belt I had won back there in high school at the All State Rodeo. He first tried to buy it outright, and when that didn’t work he made it part of the table stakes wager, his ruby and gold chain against my cowboy belt and buckle. It wasn’t so lucky for him that night, my pair of lovely ladies, queens, and the queen and pair of eights showing on the table, beat his pair of jacks and the jack and same pair of eights showing on the table.
“Humm pretty.” Izzy said, as she took the ruby and chain and examined the ruby pendant charm closely.
“I like to use something that catches a person’s attention and holds it there Sis. So, I use that.” I told her as she played with it on its long heavy gold chain.
“It’s not real, right? It’s fake ... plastic? ... glass? ... right.” She questioned, as she attempted to scratched it with a long red fingernail.
“Of course it’s a real ruby, Sis. Sure it’s a man-made synthetic ruby, synthetic corundum, not a natural ruby, but certainly not cheap plastic, or colored glass, and the diamonds are real too, Sis. Plus that’s a 14k 8mm Cuban Curb gold chain. But the most important thing, from my standpoint, Sis, is that it’s bright and shiny, and it will get and hold your attention, Little Sister.” I explained to her as she examined the ruby closely.
“So, you use this, and then what? Do you swing this around in front of me, or something?” With that my Little Sister leaned forward causing her exposed breasts in the low cut sweater to shift forward giving me a nice view of her more than abundant cleavage. She then swung the ruby in front of me a couple of times before handing the ruby charm and chain back to me. For a moment her scent of rose, and jasmine floated in the air around me, teasing my nose and bring back fond childhood memories.
Both Mom and Sis wear Chanel Nº5 as their signature scent, and I think I will always associate the scent of Chanel Nº5’s rose, and jasmine scent with Mom and now Little Sister. Well, my earliest childhood primal memories seem to be of Mom’s smell as she breastfed me.
Chanel Nº5 was created way back in 1929, by French-Russian perfumer Ernest Beaux, who had been the perfumer to the Russian Tsars. He was also connected to Coco Chanel via the Grand Duke Dmitri Pavlovich of Russia, a friend and one time romantic interest of Coco Chanel’s. Coco selected the fragrance out of his portfolio of existing scents. On selecting a name, Coco stated, “I always launch my collection on the 5th day of the 5th months, so the number 5 seems to bring me luck ... therefore, I will name it ‘Nº 5.”, and so the rest is history.
Originally it was a gift for close friends and special customers, it was put into production after his friends begged for more. Primarily floral, it has notes of rose, jasmine and citrus, with hints of vanilla. It is what’s considered an “unstable” fragrance, which means it smells a little different on every person who wears it. One particular famous fan was Marilyn Monroe, who, when asked what she wore to bed at night, responded, “Five drops of Chanel Nº5”.
It seemed like my grownup Little Sister smells a lot like Mom now, I guess that’s mainly because they both use Chanel Nº5 as their signature scent. Also like Mom, Sis always seems to have a lot of exposed breast showing. As the old saying goes, “Daughters are the reflection of their mothers.” In this case Little Sister, Isabella, Izzy for short, is just a younger version of Mom. In fact, Mom, Penelope, or Penny for short, and my Little Sister, Izzy, are all the time being mistaken for twins at parties, and the functions they attend because they look and dress alike.
At the moment I also found myself unintentionally looking directly down at her partially exposed breasts. Yes, Little Sister still practices ballet, and is on both the gymnastics team, and on the cheerleading squad, at college right now. Needless to say, her large breasts are very ... very ... well, very prominent ... very noticeable ... in her tight formfitting uniforms. I personally think that you can’t get much sexier than form fitting ballerina and gymnast leotards.
At the moment Izzy had just come from cheerleader practice and was still in her cute lets say semi-unofficial cheerleader uniform which consists of a short pleated red and white skirt, and a tight low cut yellow scoop neck sweater. Regulation cheerleader skirts typically range from 12 to 14 inches in length. Her college chose 14 inches. The skirt length is measured from the waistband to the hem, and I knew for a fact that Sis and the other cheerleaders rolled the 4 almost 5 inch waistband up which made the skirts actually 9 or 10 inches.
The sweater today was cut low enough in front that her large breasts in her tight pushup bra shifted forward slightly when she leaned forward, and her breasts were displayed nicely. It didn’t help that the low cut and skintight scoop neck sweater she was wearing today had the slogan: “BOOBS, proof that men can focus on two things at once.”, written across the front of it in big bold black letters.
For the record here, my Little Sister herself hates her large breasts, she actually refers to them demeaningly as: tits, jugs, boobs, knockers, boobies, melons, titties, honkers and has a whole litany of other colorful derogatory names for them. Mom started Baby Sister off in ballet and gymnastics at 3 years old, that was long before Izzy sprouted breasts. Sis now is always complaining about them. First, she says they throw off her balance ... well, her center of gravity anyway.
Second, she says that she has difficulty finding suitable clothing. Well, really finding bras that fit properly, are comfortable to wear, and offers adequate support anyway. Recently Izzy, Little Sister, has become a sort of an unofficial spokesperson for something called Honeylove bras and foundation wear. Well, not to me so much, ha, ha, as to the other gymnasts and cheerleaders around her. Honeylove bras it seems has eliminate the uncomfortable metal underwires while delivering superior all day support. Their bras utilize advanced construction techniques like proprietary bonded support and strategically engineered compressive fabric to provide unmatched shape, support, and lift.
The third reason, and the most important reason for her anyway, is back, neck, and shoulder pain. The weight of her large breasts has lead to chronic back pain in those areas due to the extra weight, and also the way they affect her musculoskeletal system when she exercises and performs.
Of course, there is also the fourth reason, skin irritations, and infections. Yes, people without large breasts don’t think about it much, but the area under the breasts is prone to excessive sweating, and friction. Yes, friction, during her exercise and cheer routines that giggle that fascinates men, and even some women, can lead to more than just simple skin irritation, and ugly rashes. If not cared for properly it can lead to blisters and even serious skin infections,
If that wasn’t bad enough, there is even a fifth reason, breathing problems. Yes, the weight of large breasts along with the constriction of the tight restrictive bra’s she has to wear can actually compress the chest and lungs, making it difficult to breathe, especially during her strenuous physical workouts.
Where as conventional underwire styles dig into the skin and create painful pressure points, Honeylove’s bras offer unrestricted freedom of movement while still delivering a naturally lifted, and perfectly smoothed silhouette that works flawlessly under any clothing. Honeylove bras deliver exceptional comfort and seamless support that other bras simply can’t match. Sis says they spend years developing, testing, and perfecting each Honeylove bra so that they can provide the best possible bra experience. Each Honeylove bra provides lift, shape, comfort, and back soothing comfort. They use the most cutting-edge technologies and materials in order to create exceptional products that will enhance your quality of life the advertisement went.
According to Little Sister they also make the best shapewear for women too. Women all have their go-to’s for feeling supported: seamless briefs and thongs, comfortable bras or bralettes, and basic tank tops. But for those moments that require additional support, be it a special occasion like an upcoming wedding or holiday party, or perhaps you’re looking for more coverage when wearing something on the sheerer side. These days, bodysuits and corsets can either be worn as supportive shapewear or completely on their own with a great pair of denim or trousers. Choosing the best shapewear can help make all the difference she is always telling the other girls around her.
There is also a sixth reason, it is their psychological impact on Sis herself. Yes, while large breasts can enhance body confidence for some girls, they can also cause insecurity issues for others. They can also lead to stereotyping and/or assumptions about their owner’s personality and behavior by attracting unwanted attention and other psychological issues. This can lead to feelings of objectification and/or discomfort. For some it’s a positive boost of self-esteem, but for others it has a negative impact on their mental health. Thank heaven it was mostly positive for Little Sister.
These complaints and perceptions, according to my Little Sister, highlight the need for women with large breasts to consider options like breast reduction surgery to alleviate the discomfort, and improve their quality of life. Real women, according to Little Sister anyway, do not need big breasts in the modern world my Little Sister is always saying, or should I say preaching to the choir in my case. And yes, Little Sister had begged and pleaded with Mom and Dad for breast reduction surgery for years as she was growing up.
Mom, who has large breasts herself just kept telling Izzy she would quote unquote: “Grow into them, and get used to them. Maybe even learn to enjoy them. She certainly had, ha, ha, ha.”
Hey, I know Dad likes Mom’s big breasts because he considers himself a breast man. Yes, he has subscriptions to Playboy, Penthouse, Hustler and Juggs. I know because I found his collection in the suitcase stashed under their bed when I was about 14. Juggs was a softcore pornography adult magazine published in the US that specializes in photographs of women with large breasts. It was described as: “the magazine of choice for breast men”, by Jerry Saltz, art critic for The Village Voice news magazine back in the day.
Dad was also a smart man because he managed to stayed out of Little Sister’s ongoing arguments with Mom about big breasts and getting breast reduction surgery. This just led to Little Sister, Izzy, throwing temper tantrums and sulking all week when she was much younger.
In June 1975, Fred Silverman became president of ABC Entertainment, ABC had routinely ranked in third place among broadcast networks. But Frederick S. Pierce, ABC Television’s president, said at the time of Silverman’s hiring that the young upstart would “give us the shot in the arm we need,” per The New York Times. His prediction proved true. Though Silverman would became president and CEO of NBC just three years later, he did take ABC to No. 1 during his time there, largely thanks to shows like Charlie’s Angels, Wonder Woman, Three’s Company, and other examples of so-called “jiggle television.”
The stars of Jiggle TV shows ... sometimes referred too more crudely, as T&A television ... Tits & Ass TV ... noticed the trend, including Charlie’s Angels’ Farrah Fawcett. Farrah was quoted as saying: “When the show was number three, I figured it was our acting. When it got to be number one, I decided it could only be because none of us wears a bra.” Farrah was 34B-24-33. At the time some accused the media of pushing for smaller breasts. After all the three stars of Charlie’s Angels had great nipples but little else up top.
Of course, at the same time you also had Lynda Carter in Wonder Woman (37-25-36), and of course who can forget Pamela Anderson in Baywatch (39-26-34) who were far from small up top at the same time. I think we will always remember the slow motion photography of Lynda as Wonder Woman striding across our TV screen in her abbreviated costume, or Pam in her low cut red one piece swimsuit.
Of course we’ll always remember Erika Eleniak, too. Erika was born September 29, 1969 in Glendale, California. She was well aware of her superb measurements, 5’6”, 110 pounds, 38-24-36, and at age of nineteen, she contacted Playboy photographer and started her collaboration with the magazine. Eleniak has German, Estonian, and Ukrainian ancestry. Her most famous role is Shauni McClain on TV show Baywatch.
Hey, the 2018 Plastic Surgery Statistics Report from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons notes that breast augmentation has been the top-ranking cosmetic procedure in the USA since 2006. For 2018, a total of 313,000 procedures were recorded, up 4 percent over 2017. Note, however, that cosmetic breast modification can also involve breast reduction. In both 2017 and 2018, approximately 43,600 reductions for aesthetic reasons were recorded. But also note, augmentations, breast implants, were seven times more common.
Any preferences may be largely, or exclusively, culturally generated and driven, perhaps reflecting particular notions of female beauty peddled by Western media. But overall, women requesting augmentation are seemingly motivated primarily by their own feelings about their breasts. Direct, or indirect, external influences, such as expectations of romantic partners, or socio-cultural representations of beauty, were less important if you would believe the studies.
For the record, but I never say this to Little Sister, Izzy, herself, I’m one of the, “Bigger is Better, within reason”, people myself. Yes, “Within Reason”, It is quite easy, either naturally, or un-naturally ... artificially ... to exceed those limits today. There are cases where big breasts become huge obscene and/or comical, balloons rather than breasts. I will even admit that the still juvenile part of me, well, my inner naughty boy anyway, is tempted to want to reach out and prick those huge balloons with a sharp straight pin to see if they will spectacularly explode like in one of those TV cartoons.
Yes, I may be a male chauvinist pig, a chauvinist, misogynist, sexist antifeminist, woman-hater, male supremacist, MCP, patriarchist, masculist womanhater. It seems like a new word is created every day by the feminists to describe straight heterosexual males. But another quote is: “I mean, a male chauvinist pig isn’t born, he’s made, and more and more of them are being made by women, or should I say feminist.”
I can actually say I’m a natural “breast man”, myself from birth. Yes, I was one of those finicky babies that refused the bottle and demanded to be breast feed by Mom. There are a wide variety of reasons a baby refuses a bottle, but the most common ones have to do with flow rate, nipple shape and the way the bottle is introduced. Of course, I was still demanding Mom to nurse me at 4, almost 5 years old, and Dad finally had to step in and order Mom to quit breastfeeding me. Something I have never quite forgiven Father for.
The average 4-year-old boy typically measures around 40 inches tall and weighs about 36 pounds, though growth varies widely. I had also reached all the developmental milestones, Pretends to be something else during play (teacher, superhero, dog). Asks to go play with children if none are around, like “Can I play with Alex?”. Comforts others who are hurt or sad, like hugging a crying friend. Avoids danger, like not jumping from tall heights at the playground. Likes to be a “helper”. Changes behavior based on where I was (place of worship, library, playground).
Updated AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) and CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) guidance continues to recommend exclusive breastfeeding within 1 hour of birth, and for the first six months, with complementary foods introduced at around six months. Then the introduction of nutritionally-adequate and safe complementary (solid) foods together with continued breastfeeding up to 7 years of age.
Yes, under the new policy, the AAP now supports continued breastfeeding until two years or beyond, as mutually desired by mother and child. Yes, studies have found that the average age of weaning in human babies are between the ages of 2.5 and 7 years, with the average being 4-5 years old. Some may even breastfeed for longer than that. I’m sure some people, society, will question: why so long? Surely the milk can no longer be nutritious for the child. Surely, it’s purely a bad habit now? That’s wrong, breastfeeding is incredibly important at all ages.
First of all breastmilk will never not be nutritious to a child. In fact, Mother Nature designed it so that the composition of breastmilk changes as the child ages to offer them exactly what they need at that specific stage of life. Eventually they will need solid food as their main source of nutrition, but don’t underestimate how much needed water (hydration), vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, protein and fat breastmilk offers to a child at any given age.
Breastfeeding goes well past nutritional value only though; it offers children great protection from a range of illnesses. As we all know, breastmilk offers both active and passive immunity to children. It protects against otitis media, obesity, diabetes, respiratory and cardiovascular disease and even cancer. When a mother or her child comes into contact with bacteria or viruses, the breasts will automatically start producing milk full of antibodies to fight off that very specific illness. Breastfeeding toddlers between the ages of one and three have been found to have fewer illnesses, illnesses of shorter duration, and lower mortality rates.
The majority of research studies examining breastfeeding and long-term neurodevelopmental outcomes suggest that children who breastfeed for longer than 6 months have better cognitive outcomes, lower risk of developing attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and lower risk of being diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Breastfeeding is related to improved performance in intelligence tests. A positive effect of breastfeeding on cognition was also observed in a randomized trial.
Breastfeeding is also thought to facilitate maternal sensitivity and secure attachment between mother and child. There is research to show that mothers who breastfeed tend to touch their infants more, are more responsive to their infants needs, and spend more time in mutual gaze with infants during feedings than bottle-feeding mother/infant dyads do. Moreover, in a prospective longitudinal study of 675 mother/infant dyads, increased duration of breastfeeding was associated with maternal sensitive responsiveness, increased attachment security, and decreased attachment disorganization when infants were 14 months of age.
Brain imaging work also provides evidence for a positive influence of breastfeeding on the mother/child relationship. For example, in a functional MRI (fMRI) study, it was found that exclusively breastfeeding mothers exhibited greater brain activation in several limbic brain regions when listening to their own infant’s cries as compared to exclusive formula feeders, suggesting greater involvement of emotional brain systems in breastfeeding mothers.
There are many benefits in extended breastfeeding, including health benefits to the mother. This includes reduced risks of osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, decreased insulin requirements for mothers with existing diabetes, decreased risk of type 2 diabetes, decreased risk of cardiovascular disease, ovarian, uterine and breast cancer. Of course, there is also the natural drug high the mother gets from the nursing child.
Producing breast milk relies on two key hormonal players: prolactin and oxytocin. Prolactin is responsible for milk production, while oxytocin triggers milk release. Through prolactin and oxytocin interaction, your body establishs and maintains milk production. Also prolactin and oxytocin play major roles in the male and female sex life. Hormones are chemicals that coordinate different functions in your body by carrying messages through your blood to your organs, muscles and other tissues. These signals tell your body what to do and when to do it.
Prolactin (also known as lactotropin and PRL) is a hormone that’s responsible for lactation and certain breast tissue development and contributes to hundreds of other bodily processes. Your prolactin levels will be elevated if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding. Prolactin contributes to hundreds of bodily functions. But its two main functions include: Triggering the development of mammary glands within breast tissues Supporting lactation and breastfeeding
Over production of Prolactin, called hyperprolactinemia, has a significant negative impact on sexual function through effects such as reduced sexual desire in men and women and erectile dysfunction in men. Prolactin appears to play a role in the central regulation of sexual behavior and activity, primarily by influencing the effects of the dopaminergic and serotoninergic systems on sexual function. Prolactin receptors are expressed in various areas of the brain that are involved in the sexual response cycle, suggesting a direct effect of prolactin on sexual desire regulation. Experiments in animal models have indicated that elevated prolactin levels generally have an inhibitory effect on sexual behavior and activity. Notably, prolactin levels in the bloodstream rise after orgasm in both sexes, suggesting a potential role in the immediate regulation of postorgasmic sexual arousal.
Oxytocin (often called, “the, Love Hormone”, or Cuttle Hormone), is a natural hormone that manages key aspects of the female and male reproductive systems, including labor, delivery and lactation, as well as other aspects of human sexual behavior. Your hypothalamus makes oxytocin, but your posterior pituitary gland stores and releases it into your bloodstream. Oxytocin also acts as a chemical messenger in your brain and has an important role in many human behaviors and social interactions, including: sexual arousal,, recognition, trust, romantic attraction and attachment, and especially parent-infant bonding.
The effects of oxytocin on your brain are complex. Scientists are currently researching the role of oxytocin in various conditions, including: Addiction. Anorexia. Anxiety. Autism spectrum disorder. Depression. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Animal research has connected oxytocin with the lifelong pair-bonding and scientists have reported increases in oxytocin levels following orgasm in humans. There is also evidence that increases in oxytocin may encourage prosocial behavior.
In addition to infant-mother interactions (namely, when an infant suckles at a mother’s breast), a variety of behaviors may increase oxytocin, including hugging, cuddling, and having sex. Oxytocin can also be delivered through nasal spray, although the effects described by those selling these sprays may not be reliable.
More often than not, mothers choosing the natural weaning route receives a great amount of shaming and judgment for breastfeeding an older child. This causes what we call “closet breastfeeding”, which is when a mother and child only breastfeeds in private and never let anyone other than certain family members know. This doesn’t seem fair that a mother who does something that is completely biologically normal and healthy, receives no support from society whatsoever.
Shaming and judgment usually comes from the uninformed, people who just don’t know any better. They never see breastfeeding in public, therefore it’s not very normalized behavior. This attitude needs to change and education is the key. Not just for parents, but for everyone else too. If people understand the importance of breastfeeding a child for a longer period, they may judge less. As the famous saying goes, people judge what they don’t understand.
If you’re a mother who breastfeeds an older child, never feel ashamed of what you’re doing, you’re not doing anything wrong, you’re doing everything absolutely right. If you feel comfortable with breastfeeding in public, then you should do just that. Not only are you making you and your child’s life easier, but you’re also directly helping normalizing breastfeeding to the world. You’re also inspiring other mothers of older children to embrace her journey and to never be ashamed of what she does.
Hey, there’s no right or wrong answer here, every breastfeeding dyad will reach the end of their journey when they’re ready. Sometimes a parent may be ready before a child is (parent-led weaning) and other times a child will be able to wean when they’re both physically, mentally and emotionally ready to do so. Breastfeeding should continue for as long as both mother and child mutually desires to do so. Natural weaning is best when it’s possible.
