An hour later even the steam was gone and the bathroom was silently, slowly, cleaning and drying itself. Toby and Jennifer had left arm in arm, arguing about how often he should go down on her and whether he should always ask first. He was for yes and she was for no. He’d clearly taken Rose’s instructions to heart. There was hope for him yet if he learned to stand up for himself, she thought. Essen and Lara had gone too after lingering goodbye kisses and promises of future loveliness. Alex and Ross had fist bumped in their funny serious way, gone out on the landing and got dressed, already chatting away about their work and their flat and the cost of this and that. Lynn was splurged out fanning a swollen pussy that wasn’t going to get unswollen by anything except time. Rose and Kiki lay holding one another where the breeze from the balcony would have made it cold but they pulled a blanket over them and snuggled together.

“Thank you for making all this possible,”

Rose said.

“Thank you. It’s your flat and your money and your enormous bath tub.”

Rose kissed her cheek.

“I’d probably never have got around to any of it without you and if I had it wouldn’t have been this good. Without you and Darren I’d have not met Alex and Lynn would not have met Ross. You’re the nexus of all these good things.”
