Sunday morning I was up early, leaving the two ladies snuggled together in the bed while I went for a jog before showering in the guest bathroom. I snuck in and grabbed my gym bag and dressed back in the other bathroom before reading my script for the rest of my scenes out on the balcony overlooking the city.

It was approaching eleven in the morning before the two came out onto the balcony with coffees in their hands and sat on a lounger together, with Aster in front of Abby.

“Ladies, you’re looking like you’ve been a couple for a while instead of just less than a day,” I told them with a smile. “You look great together.”

Abby squeezed Aster in her arms and leaned over and kissed her cheek.

“I, for one, have fallen hard for her,” Abby said.

Aster looked at me as she caressed Abby’s bare arm before turning and kissing her lover on the lips.

“Looks like the feeling is mutual,” I stated.

Aster nodded as their kiss deepened. I watched for a minute before getting up.

“I’ll just grab my things and head to my place,” I said. “Aster, can you tell Shannon that you were premature in saying that we were a couple please. She can let Freddie know as well.”

They both stopped their canoodling and sat up.

“What are you talking about Sam?” Aster asked.

“I’m not going to get between you two, who obviously are made for each other,” I answered her.

“That doesn’t mean we can’t still be together,” she stated, with Abby nodding behind her. “We spent time together when you fell asleep and things clicked, but I’m still in love with you Sam. I think Abby really likes you too.”

“Of course I do,” Abby agreed. “Sam, I’d never try to take Aster away from you or try to drive a wedge between you as a couple. I’d like to be an addition who spends time with both of you, whenever you’re available or with either of you if the other one is busy or sleeping.”

The two women got up and came over to stand on either side of me.

“We don’t want you to go anywhere,” Aster said as she pressed herself to my side.

Abby plastered herself to my other side and they both looked up at me.

“We’re not looking to become a couple Sam, more like a trio,” Abby added. “I’m sorry if you got that impression. We got a bit intense but that was only because you weren’t around to focus on. I like you both very much. Okay?”

I looked at her and then at Aster who nodded and said, “I think we’d make a very good trio. We promise to never shut you out or leave you but we will sometimes spend some time with each other if you don’t mind. I enjoy a woman’s touch almost as much as yours. Are you okay with sharing me with Abby and us sharing her?”

“I’m definitely okay with that if that’s what you two want,” I replied. “I just don’t want to stand in your way if you’d rather just be with each other and not me.”

“Nonsense, we’re both bi so this is the best for all of us,” Aster responded. “We all get two people who will care for us and can spend time with if one of the three is working or off somewhere. We need you as much as we need each other.”

They both pulled me down and kissed and hugged me before pulling me inside.

“Alright, I’ll stay but let’s eat and talk a bit, get to know each other better,” I suggested.

I insisted on helping, as much as I could with my hands still wrapped up. They didn’t hurt as much but I just used my finger tips to help with a stirring the pancake batter and then flipping the bacon.

Each of us told a bit about ourselves to the others over our meal, with me making up my Dallas life to start. Aster told of her early Disney shows as a young teen before moving on while moving out of her family’s place. Abby told us about growing up in LA, in a decent neighbourhood with an older brother and sister before going to community college for a nursing degree. She’d been on the job at the hospital for about nine months now and had just turned twenty-one. We moved on to likes and dislikes and then talked about our long term goals, for ourselves and then our trio. Over time I relaxed as they certainly seemed intent on making sure I was part of their future. After our talk, they pulled me back into bed and put on a show but made sure I was watching them before they pulled me into their activities rather than focus on each other. After they wore me out, they did spend time together but then snuggled up on either side of me.

We ordered in some wings, salad and potato wedges and talked about our schedule for the week. Abby had days from seven to three-thirty all week so had to leave just after six am, whether from here or her apartment. She needed things from her apartment, like a uniform, so she decided to go home in an Uber and stay in her apartment for the night but grab a bag to bring to work so she could stay with us after work for a few days. Aster and I were going to head in for eight am so would leave at seven-thirty in the morning, driving in one car. We didn’t know the actual schedule would be with the copter crash disruption and my hands in bandages, but we decided to show up early to be available if needed. I let Freddie know via text that I was going in for eight and would keep him informed of the schedule and any out of the ordinary events. Abby and I both got keys and the alarm code to the house and added to the neighbourhood permanent guest list at the gate guardhouse before Abby left for the night in an Uber. Aster and I went to bed early and had some nice alone time before falling asleep.

We were both up early, though I got up first, had a shower and a cup of coffee waiting for Aster when she woke up. I handed her a second travel cup full of coffee when we walked out to the garage.

“You’re good to have around,” Aster said with a grin.

“I aim to please,” I told her as we got into her car for the ride to the studio.

She leaned over from the driver’s seat and gave me a kiss.

“I think we should keep the PDA to a minimum at the studio for now,” she suggested as she started the car. “I like to keep that stuff private so no talking to Cherl or anyone else about our relationship. You can admit we’re in a relationship but that’s it, okay?”

“Sure, keep it discreet and no PDA where cameras or people can see,” I agreed.

We were in VTM’s conference room at ten to eight and weren’t surprised to see Harold the director, Jack the producer and a couple suits already in the room, with Trent and Victoria coming in behind us. Joe and Vince were next and then two more suits arrived before the door was closed.

“Alright, thanks for joining us a bit early to go over what happened on the weekend and what we will do about it, the schedule and Sam replacing Chris as the supporting actor,” Jack started the meeting. “I’ll go around the room and make introductions for those who don’t know everyone.”

“I’m Jack Evans, the producer of the film, Harold Todd, the director, Trent Edwards, our lead actor, Victoria Gallant, our lead actress, Aster Sundin, our supporting actress, Sam Rollins, our supporting actor and lead stuntman, Joe and Vince, our stunt coordinator and special effects supervisor. On the VTM side, with have Adam Couture, the head of the studio, Martin Wiseman, legal counsel, Kurt Mercer, marketing. Last but not least, we have Ronald Spellman, the Executive producer of the film Invasion.”

There were certainly some heavyweights in the room, with a head of the studio and even I had heard of Ronald Spellman, the guy behind a bunch of successful film franchises, and apparently in charge of the money and getting the high end talent onto the movie. Jack sat down and Adam Couture, the head of the studio spoke up.

“We had a serious accident on Saturday as everyone is aware, unless they were hiding in a cave or out in the middle of the ocean without a satellite connection,” he started. “On behalf of the studio, I’d like to thank Sam for his quick actions to not only save himself but also the helicopter pilot from burning up in the helicopter before the stunt team or the studio team could get there. We wouldn’t be meeting here if he hadn’t done what he did. So, thank you very much Mr. Rollins, it was not only heroic but quite astonishing what you did.”

“I’m glad I was able to save the pilot in time without causing him any additional injury,” I replied.

“I’m glad to say that he has only whiplash and a concussion and is being treated at home,” he announced, to relieved comments from everyone.

“So, as per usual, the video got out and it went viral of our stuntman and supporting actor escaping death and rescuing the pilot,” Adam continued. “It’s a blessing for the movie really as we’re getting free publicity about the film and about Sam, and we’ll be using several camera views that weren’t leaked into the film. It wasn’t meant to crash but we can easily incorporate it into the film and that will give the pilot a slightly bigger role to compensate him for the injury. Everyone agreed so far?”

There seemed to be nods all around so he moved on.

“There will be an investigation about the crash and all involved will have to be interviewed and help determine what went wrong,” Adam stated. “Martin will get involved in that as will Joe and Vince. Sam might have to have a statement recorded but his part is well documented so we won’t lose too much of his time.”

Everyone laughed at that and I just shrugged.

“Alright, if we need a new helicopter for any more shots, make sure it has all it’s maintenance well documented and we have some test flights before we put anyone on it,” Adam warned. “Other than that, I’ll pass it over to Ronald, Jack as well as Harold to discuss the schedule and any further changes they, and marketing, may want to make.”

“Our biggest new issue is that Sam’s hands are a bit damaged from the rope and the glass so we’ll have to schedule around that, though we can do some creative makeup and camera angles to get some of the shots in,” Harold spoke up. “We had a good couple of days with Sam on Thursday and Friday to catch up on some of the minor shots but we need to get him in scenes with these three as soon as possible.”

Everyone looked over at me so I showed them the new wraps Abby did last night to just protect the palms. The fingers had some rope burns but the skin wasn’t raw or cut on the fingers.

“It’s mostly on the palms so I can use my fingers but not grip things right now,” I explained. “I’m sure flesh covered gloves or band-aids will allow shots that I’m not doing stunts in. Any more stunts that involve hands will be a week or two, but I can run and kick and so on.”

“Okay, that’s better than we thought,” Harold responded favourably. “We can get that done and get back to shooting non stunt scenes today then.”

“That should keep our schedule from getting any worse,” Jack added.

Kurt Mercer, the marketing guru, spoke up, “Alright, with the publicity from the weekend, we should take advantage of that to throw a couple extra scenes into the film with Sam, if our other three stars don’t mind. We’re not trying take anything from you, just add some for Sam and you to interact.”

“I wouldn’t object to that, as long as it adds to the film, not just add a few shots of Sam without his shirt,” Harold responded.

“I’m okay with more shots of Sam with his shirt off,” Victoria said with a grin.

“Back off, he’s mine,” Aster fake growled at her co-star.

“You get to see him without his shirt anytime you smile at him, we need to capture it on film for later,” Victoria explained, making everyone laugh and me blush.

“Let’s not set the place on fire with Sam’s blushing,” Kurt said, grinning at my embarrassment. “We can add his name to all the posters, trailers and teasers, posters and the films intro with ‘and introducing Sam Rollins’ after your three names to make sure we take advantage of his popularity. We’ll have to get you on the full publicity tour and all the TV and podcasts etc. leading up to the premiere.”

“I’m a pretty private person, I didn’t sign up to be involved in those events,” I spoke up.

“And you wouldn’t have been included in those until what happened on the weekend,” Kurt replied. “It’s now a necessity.”

“No, it’s something you’d like to see happen, to take advantage of what happened, but it’s not a requirement for me,” I corrected him. “I deliberately had Freddie take less to not have to do any of the publicity events. Use my name on the teasers, posters and whatnot, but you don’t need me to sell the movie.”

“I’m sure your contract states you have to attend all events that we require you to,” Kurts responded, looking over at Jack.

Jack groaned as he remembered what I had Freddie negotiate.

“Sam’s right, at the time we got a very good rate compared to Chris and then even less for Sam not to be included in the publicity,” Jask explained. “As a new actor, we didn’t think we would lose much by not having Sam on the tour or on the TV shows.”

Robert spoke up for the first time, saying, “Let us discuss this while the actors get on set and keep us on schedule. Sam, let’s leave this as an open item, just as your compensation for new scenes and a bigger role will have to be talked about with you, Freddie and then with Jack and I. In the meantime, while you’re handling the scenes you have to get caught up on, we’ll get the screenwriters working on the new scenes. Sound good?”

“Alright, I have no problem getting back to work,” I replied.

Joe, Vince and the four actors got up and left the room.

Joe spoke up, “We’re going to be involved in the investigation and you’re out of stunt work for a week at least so we’ll see you then.”

I just nodded and the four actors walked out of the corporate building.
