Chapter 66: Invasion

Science Fantasy Sex Story: Chapter 66: Invasion - Three young people represent Earth in a battle with our powerful ancestors who seeded us and terraformed Earth. It is a battle against people who believe Earth has lost its way, and they intend to destroy Earth if it does not comply. They are so far ahead of us that they are Godlike but are biased and irrational and prepared to inflict pain without compunction.

“The usual suspects amongst the delegates are threatening mayhem if you don’t pardon Anayees Parnok,” David grinning.

“I’ll first bring in Aakash Mitesh, the gang leader. Ashlyn’s instinct was right. Incidentally, where is Ashlyn?” Brendan asked.

“She and Dorel took Keresen and some of the ancients to see Makuto,” said David.

“Have you noticed a feeling of vague unease and intense dreams?” Brendan asked.

“Yes, Ashlyn and I both feel there is something big brewing. First, we thought it related to those underworld oxen. Latterly, we thought it was something brewing in the war.”

“I’ll bring in Aakash, then we’ll think about it after,” said Brendan.

Brendan strode through the door and returned, with Aakash following him.

“If this is about Anayees, you waste your time,” said Aakash.

“Well, neither of us wants to waste time. It is another matter. The anti-corruption watchdog has finished auditing your records. You have fifteen minutes under supervision to remove personal effects and hand over your identifiers to the AI in your office. You are formally suspended. The police are waiting for you outside,” said Brendan quietly. “You face a string of charges.”

Brendan’s guards decloaked and escorted Aakash out.

“You gave him time to tell the others,” said David. “Very clever, Brendan; now they know you are onto them.”

“It was Ashlyn’s idea. David, can we sit for a few minutes and see what we can see?”

David nodded.

The pair sat comfortably side by side, shoulders touching as they had done as children.

Brendan opened his eyes first. He waited longer than he expected for David.

Finally, David opened his eyes ten minutes after Brendan. That was unprecedented.

“I should have told you what happened,” said David. “I did as you did and finished when you did, but I went off on another tangent. Things are not as they seem. The underworld influences several of our delegates. They used the dancing between the dimensions technique as Seka taught them. We must find out who has completed the advanced development program in our colloquium. We must also look at the military. They unwittingly pass information to the underworld. Then, the underworld passes it on to the Gnituruta. I will tell Vendelin they have the same problem. We must close this loop before we go any further. We must change all our plans or assume the enemy knows exactly what we plan to do.”

“I had the feeling there was a link from the underworld to our enemies,” said Brendan. “What did you learn?”

“The massive being was not a whale, worm, or any being we can identify with. It is a hermaphrodite, both male and female. It was an ancient being older than those of the Agglomeration. They travel in the voids between multiverses and universes. I got the impression they hide in the void from something.”

David turned to Brendan. “Seka was their treasured pet. She inadvertently recruited many victims for them.”

Brendan nodded.

David continued. “When the Gnituruta escaped the Agglomeration, they hid in the void. There, they fell under the influence of the Sugigoth. That is as close to their name as I can pronounce it. The Sugigoth feed on psychic energy, as do the Gnituruta and the Drunduh.”

“What is their relationship, David?”

“The Sugigoth chose to mentor both groups and reap a percentage of the prey energy.”

“What else did you extract?”

“The massive one gave me the language and all it knows. I’ve stored it all in my AIs. The AIs are trying to pull out relevant information and the names of the spies. Once we get the spies out of the way, we can upload what the Gnituruta know to the Supercomputers. As far as I know, there are no XaX spies.”

“Can Seka tell you who received the advanced training?” Brendan asked.

“I’ll contact her. We must clean up Military Intelligence and then get them to help us. I’ll speak to Dorel when she gets back. I want help from the XaX.”

“Is there any way we can identify someone with a Sugigoth minion on board?”

David shrugged. “I’ll ask Kreia and Keresen.”

“When do you think they will attack us?”

“I don’t believe the Gnituruta and Drunduh have a detailed plan. The enemy knows they will invade our galaxy. They talk about a plan. We are causing trouble in their backyard. They want to force us to move our fleets back,” said David. “There is more. The massive being is called the Overseer. The Overseer ran out of eggs. There are few ships left. The Overseers want to return to bodies so they can lay more eggs. The Sugigoth are dying out. The Gnituruta suggested the XaX may well be good hosts.”

“Was there anything else you can recall?”

“The Orb was the Overseer’s communicator and AI. We have all the Sugigoth’s knowledge and more,” said David. “The Sugigoth AI is loyal to whoever holds it. It belonged to a civilization that the Sugigoth destroyed.”

“Do you think we will use the long-range transmitter built by the refugees?” Brendan asked.

David grinned. “Yes, you think we can use it on the invasion fleet as I did. The Gnituruta hide in a tiny galaxy that is a satellite of the Milky Way. They are slowly running out of prey. The Drunduh galaxy is not much better. Both groups want to invade and move here but don’t want to risk a massive defeat. They both know we will exterminate them,” said David.

“Was that from the Overseer?” Brendan asked.

David nodded. “I think it was relieved to die. The whale felt stressed and run down. It knew us and who we were. It thinks we are the ancient enemy who wants to exterminate them.”
